We were traveling from US and vising family in Jalandhar. We thought Ramada brand was somewhat known although we never stared there in the US. Given the limited options besides the local hotels, we booked a non-smoking room. When we checked into the room, it was full of smoke stink. The staff was kind to change the room when we shared the feedback but it took them a while to get us the new room. After a long journey, we were just sitting and waiting for our room to be ready and after 25 minutes, we were moved. As we were unwinding into this new room, we saw a person walk by our balcony and we were all like, what? Turned out there was construction going on next door, and there was a big hole in the wall. The access point for workers were through our balcony. Instead of complaining again and waiting for another 30 minutes for a different room, we decided to manage our expectations. It would have been nice if we knew about this ahead of time. We had to close the curtains through our stay, felt like we were somewhere in the basement with no natural light. The furnishing were as if someone armature assembled it. There was no way to know how the doors to the cabinets were to open, no knobs or area to hold the door to open, or which side the door will open. Although it was marked as a suite, the finish was of a low level motel. They only had to shower towels for a party of 3, no iron in the room and so on. After we checked out, we were well on our way by the time I realized that I forgot my Airpods pro in the room. I called the hotel and they told me they will look for it can call me back in a few hours. I told them I can see the Airpods on my iPhone (find my device) to be at the hotel. After waiting for about 3 hours, I called back and was told they did not find it and accused me of leaving it somewhere else, not in the hotel. I can still see the Airpods pro in the hotel through find my device as of this writing – one week after we checked out and back in US now. Meeting family in Jalandhar was the only high of our trip there, everything else was a disaster. Never ever would I stay in this Hotel in the future or recommend anyone to try it out.
