The room has been renovated recently, looks better. TV set now is a better type. Hopefully this type of room available though out.

The breakfast was a delightful surprise! There was a wide variety of options, both Chinese and Western. The hot dishes were delicious, the fruit was fresh and diverse, and the coffee was freshly ground. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast every morning. This breakfast alone makes it worth coming back for.

Hallmark Regency Hotel is a solid choice for travelers who value comfort and accessibility. Strategically located near the city center, the hotel provides easy access to shopping malls, local food spots, and major attractions around JB. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and equipped with the essentials for a pleasant stay. Despite being in a busy area, the hotel offers a relaxing environment to unwind after a day of exploring the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and hassle-free. Overall, it’s a practical and reliable accommodation choice that combines convenience, comfort, and affordability in one package.

The front desk service is not warm and welcoming. I book a single bedroom but when I enter the room I saw 3 beds. So I go down stairs and ask if they can give me 1 bed, they said more 1 single bed. No choice, I keen to sleep one bed so I ask for upgrade to queen size bed oof course pay for more money.It was not a good experience. Is scary for me mysel to sleep in a room with 3 beds...

The room for 3 pax was ok with a window except it was on the first floor facing food court .a bit noisy as we can hear sounds from next room so the sound proof was not so good. No water bottle was provided on the room and we had to go near the lift to fill up with purified water. Breakfast was nice with delicious cakes and good coffee.

Pre-Arrival & Communication Issues The pre-arrival customer service was highly disappointing. A few days before check-in, I emailed the hotel directly to request an early check-in but received no response. I then followed up through Trip.com, and even though the platform reached out to the hotel on my behalf, the hotel still failed to get back to me. Room 1: No Windows & Poor Front Desk Handling According to the listing, some rooms of the category I booked come with windows, so I explicitly requested one. However, upon check-in, the receptionist told me that this room type does not have windows at all. When I tried to explain the booking details, she simply kept repeating the same script without trying to help. Room 2: The Upgrade (RM30/night top-up) The next day, I called from my windowless room to request a change. The same receptionist informed me I could upgrade for an additional RM30 per night. I agreed and moved. The Pros: This second room was vastly superior. The natural lighting made the space much brighter, the shower water pressure was significantly stronger, and even the towels looked cleaner (likely due to the better lighting). The Cons: The aircon remote was barely functioning, and the mini-fridge suddenly started making a very loud noise in the middle of my last night, forcing me to shut off its power completely just to get some sleep. Dining & Room Service On a positive note, the food here was a highlight. The breakfast was not bad at all, and when I ordered room service, the food delivery was efficient and prompt. Soundproofing & Service Unfortunately, the soundproofing in both rooms is incredibly poor. I was unlucky enough to have very noisy neighbors next door in both locations. On the bright side, when I called the front desk to complain, the staff did take action promptly and called the neighbors to lower their volume, which I appreciated. Final Verdict While the breakfast was good, room service was efficient, and the upgraded window room was much more comfortable, the overall experience was dragged down. The poor pre-arrival communication, initial front desk rigidity, weak soundproofing, and minor maintenance issues (remote and fridge) made this a frustrating stay. If you book here, definitely opt for the window rooms, and bring earplugs.

The room is spacious and the location is excellent. Breakfast is plentiful, offering great value for money. The bedding is a bit old, but still clean.

All excellent services ( breakfast, rooms, amenities, clean, extra pillow :), refill water station). Upgraded for free to family rooms ( we book for triple room), humble front desk office. Will stay here again for sure!

This is my third time staying at this hotel, and I think this is where I should put a full stop. It’s time for me to look for a new hotel. During my first stay, I was upgraded to a suite, which gave me a very good impression. Unfortunately, this time the room I was given was very disappointing. The room was small and had no windows, which made the stay uncomfortable. Both of us even woke up the next morning with red, itchy marks on our legs. The bathroom lighting was very dim and not practical. Breakfast was exactly the same as before, with no improvement or changes. The only advantage is the convenient location, as there is a local food court behind the hotel where you can easily find good local food. However, early in the morning, when taking the lift to breakfast or during check-out, there was a strong smell of oily kitchen fumes, which was unpleasant. Overall, this stay did not meet my expectations, and I will be considering other accommodation options in the future.

Very nice place

The hotel service was excellent. When we mentioned the air conditioning wasn't cool enough, they immediately took care of it. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, even featuring a smart toilet. They also provided two key cards, which was very convenient. My only suggestion would be to offer more variety at breakfast to make it perfect. I'll definitely be staying at this hotel again.

The triple room (1 Queen and 1 single bed) included breakfast. Our room was at level 1. No window. TV connection was blurry. Beds were not comfortable. Shower head was strong. Toilet flush was good. Toilet paper was not sufficient. Drinking water bottles are chargeable. Breakfast was good.
