Antigua Yacht Club Marina Resort

Customer service was top notch. They came at every request we made. All facilities were working as they should no issues. Also we could've went anywhere close by and got food which was great. Only issue I had was that they needed a bigger TV other than that my stay was great.

The facility grounds are well manicured and maintained. Most staff were friendly and welcoming to the island. Chickpeas without issues. We were shown to the room and oriented to fun cycle tv, air control ,safe and keys. Our home was spacious and nicely furnished. We were disappointed with the advertises service limited availability (9-5, 3 days/week), which conflicted with beach times during the day. Some even inputs would have been nice. The club associated cafe across the street was very welcomed, for breakfast (did not accept credit cards/EC only); male staff was so friendly. Nice having beach towels and coffee in the hotel courtyard. Excellent accommodations for the price.

Stayed at AYC Marina Hotel for a few days during low season and was alarmed by the multiple emails I received alerting me to loud music and the need for good earplugs. At check-in, the very warm and friendly receptionist said those warnings are more for high season. Hotel is quaint, room is decent size with a straight-on view of the marina. Very walkable location right on the marina surrounded by restaurants, bars and close to the dive shops. Room cleanliness was just okay with some visible stains on the tiles and grubby switches, but easy to forgive because linens were spotless and smelled freshly laundered. Mattress was very very firm. Earplugs were not needed for music, however, the walls are the thinnest I have ever experienced to the point of feeling like I was sharing a room with my neighbors. I could literally hear my neighbor open and eat a bag of chips, roll over in bed, and adjust the AC. I was awoken multiple times by their snoring and night terrors. You hear everything that happens in the common areas as well. Don't plan on having any private conversations while you're here. If you don't rent a car, a taxi from the airport is a flat rate of $48 USD, or shuttle is $60 USD.

This was my first trip to Antigua and definitely not my last. This will be a lasting experience. I met Alfonso on the phone who recommend that I book room 42&43 together. Very good choice. The staff was hospitable and very friendly. I want to give a big shout out to ALFONSO. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay as a group would be a lasting experience. Tanieka our house keeper kept our surroundings clean. Jason was very helpful. Meechi completed our reservation on line. I loved the ambiance of the Hotel and the well kept grounds .From the birds chirping in the mornings to the crickets at nights, to the laundry lady Marsha it was an awesome experience. I have already recommended it to my friends and will definitely be returning. Thanks for a wonderful stay and courteous and kind staff.

The Antigua Yacht Club Marina Resort is in a great location. It’s a short walk to the Boom restaurant on a hill nearby. It’s also a close walk to Nelson’s Dockyard, which includes Pillar’s restaurant, Copper & Lumber restaurant, the boats you can take to Brasserie & Incanto (if you call the restaurants they will send the boats), some boutique shops, & a dock boatyard. The hotel was exactly what we were looking for: we didn’t need anything too fancy and wanted something that wasn’t too expensive. Our room was nice with a view of the Harbour and a yacht. The hotel was low on amenities- no pool or gym (got burned down in a fire) but did have a spa. I got a great 1-hour deep tissue massage and I highly recommend it. I would go back to get a massage there if I was staying at this hotel or one in the area! The only complaint I have for this hotel is that the shower water was cold. I would have given a 4-star review except my room had cold water for both nights. I would only stay at this hotel again if they improved the shower temperature or else I’d rather pay more per night at a hotel and get a warmer shower. If you’re looking for a fancier hotel that is more expensive but has all amenities, I recommend The Inn right on Galleon Beach or Admiral Inn in Falmouth.

We stayed here as part of our 2 week stay. The room was huge and had a fully fitted kitchen. A massive double closet, ironing board and iron and a safe which was free. A/C as standard in every place we stayed in. A large shower room and a really large balcony. The bed was comfy and although we only made breakfast the kitchen was suitably fitted out. We had a garden view but could see Falmouth Harbour. It was perfect for closeness to Nelson’s Dockyard.

There are basically 3 types of accommodations here: standard hotel rooms in the building at the front of the property, then 'Garden View' and 'Sea View' rooms in multiple buildings behind the hotel further up the hill. My review & photos are based on a Garden View room. Staff: Each of the staff that I interacted with were extremely pleasant to deal with and tried their utmost to do whatever they could for me. Any time I needed anything I was always able to find one of the staff to help me out. The 10 or so days I was there, I was given good advice on day activities, suggestions on places to head for items I needed and always with a smile. Rooms: To give a layout of the property, the 'hotel' was at the base of the property closest to the road. Then 6 buildings lined up behind it on a steep hill, 3 on either side of a curvy, windy road. My room was at the bottom of the furthest building at the top of the hill (to add context to Noise issue noted further below). The room was VERY spacious, clean and had plenty of room for belongings. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a large counter area with a sink and a big, glass enclosed shower. A full kitchen was a nice added touch and stocked with dishes, pots, pans, .. everything you needed if you were cooking your own meals. In-room safe and iron & ironing board were also in the room along with a TV, phone, desk & chair and lots of closet space (see photos). The Garden View from my room was pretty darned good. Could even see some of the harbour even though I was on the bottom floor of the building. Location: If you are doing anything in the English Harbour area, this is a great place to be. Close to a number of different restaurants, some attractions, scuba diving, hiking, ... and of course Nelson's Dockyard. A grocery store, Covent Garden, is also around the corner. NOISE: Because you are right central to everything you will have to occasionally deal with noise from a couple of the bars. During weekends and sometimes weekdays if large events are being held in the harbour, the music goes well into the night. My room was the farthest away, up the hill, and closest to ground ('insulating me' from direct sound). Even in this 'quieter' location, I could still hear the music in the background, though it was not loud enough to bother me (didn't need ear plugs). If noise bothers you, and especially if you are in the hotel rooms just off the main road, bring earplugs. The road up to the higher buildings is too steep for a straight road and therefore winds back and forth. And still it is quite a climb. If you have any mobility issues, this will be a tough climb and/or descent back down. Having said that, staff keep a couple golf carts at the base of the hotel and will gladly shuttle you up and down the hill. Staying in the hotel rooms at the bottom, of course, avoids this issue (but then you have extra noise as noted above). Overall - I would definitely recommend a stay here (especially if you enj

We stayed at the YCM hotel, it was clean and just what we needed. Yes, the rooms are a little tired but very clean. Our room overlooked the marina and what a view it was with a cup of coffee. Tea/coffee is available in reception in the courtyard (no one told us we just saw them). ALL the staff could not do enough for you and very friendly. We had hot water issues on the day of arrival and the chap just said its tripped and went. Reported it the following day to the same person who said I will report but was not confident with the reply anything would be done. So mentioned it again on day 3 and one of the lovely receptionist offered us another room (we didn’t take it because our view was amazing and the other over looked the side of the hotel), I forget to take her name but if you are reading this thank you so much for sorting very quickly for us. She was amazing and checked in with me again the following day to ensure we had hot water. That’s what you call customer service and satisfaction. I will be returning to stay here. The café below club house is amazing for breakfast/lunch and evening meal in my opinion.
