The Sherton Hotel in Kagoshima was an absolute gem of a hotel! This is our first visit to Japan, and we are admittedly nervous about the language barrier and cultural change from the US. From the moment we checked in, the staff has bent over backwards to make sure we are comfortable and have done a fantastic job to make this stay completely comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect right at the center of downtown Kagoshima, and the rooms, restaurants, and common spaces have more in common with a Four Seasons than with what is standard Sheraton in the US. We were not able to take advantage of the spa, but the Onsen (Hot Springs Sauna) was so relaxing and rejuvenating — especially after 26 hours of flights to get here! HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to the staff that has helped make our 4 days in Kagoshima a memorable experience! Now off to Hiroshima!

Hotel is a bit far from train station but they do provide free shuttle bus service. The hot springs bath is located on the top floor with good view of the volcano mountain. You can enjoy the views while taking the bath. There are also many shopping and entertainment complexes close by.

　私たちが、鹿児島市内観光の拠点に選んだのが、こちらの東横インでした。まず、鹿児島空港から高速バスで鹿児島中央駅前に着きましたが、そこから徒歩３分。食事や買い物に駅ビルに行くにも３分。翌日の市内巡りに使ったカゴシマシティビューバスのバス停があるバスターミナルまでも３分という好立地です。 　東横インですから、豪華さはありません。でも、明るくきれいで、清潔です。スタッフも好印象ですし、無料の朝食はパック入りの弁当になっていて、客室で食べられるようになっているなど、コロナ対策もしっかりしていました。

シルバーウィークに母と娘と３人旅行で利用しました。 古いホテルなので少し不安でしたが不安が的中しました・・・ まず宿泊する部屋の階の通路が臭い･･･ 海が近いから潮の香り？とも思いましたがそれとも違うような臭いでとても不快でした。 部屋もなんだか埃臭い？ような感じでした。 ツインの部屋を利用しましたが部屋も狭いしユニットバスも狭い･･･しかもシャワーカーテンにカビ？のような黒い斑点が多数あり不衛生な感じがしました。 翌朝、朝食を頂きご飯と味噌汁以外は全部冷めてましたが味は美味しかったです。ただ私は生や半熟の*が体質上、食べられずよく火を通したものをお願いしたのですがゆで*を半分に切ったものが塩だれにヒタヒタに浸かっているものが出てきました。(他の方は温泉*でした）私だけ別で作って頂いたので文句は言えないのかもしれませんが、これ何？と衝撃でした。 また娘は洋食を頼んでおりロールパンが出てきたのですが表面黒焦げ… スタッフの皆さんはとても感じが良かっただけにとても残念でした。

非常乾淨，氛圍感超好； 一樓是咖啡，2樓是混合宿舍，三樓是女性專用宿舍，設施完備（小廚房、洗衣房），房間也比較大。而且離JR鹿兒島，走路也就5分鐘，非常方便。 但請注意CHECK IN時間，因為不是酒店，而是民宿，所以工作人員衹待到晚上7點，來 辦理入住手續一定要在可以的時間段內。

Highly recommend this hotel if you stay in Kagoshima for a short time! The location being inside the JR Station is very convenient, and the hotel was clean. Had a lot of free amenities, like some epsom salt bath! The room itself is a typical small room like you see everywhere in Japan. Would definitely recommend if you visit Kagoshima!

Vous voulez tenter de vous faire arnaquer,c'est ici qu'il faut aller!!! J'y suis resté2mois,l'hôtel est désert dû au coronavirus,sous prétexte que l'hôtel est plein alors que seul2japonais y vivent alors que l'hôtel a une capacité d'au moins 40places(sans compter les2jeunes couples du personnel)ils m'ont forcé à prendre à 3reprises une chambre solo qui coûte 2,5fois et demi plus cher que le dortoir. Le personnel sont des jeunes gros fainéants,ils n'ont pas de clients,ils ne parlent ni français ni anglais. Ils m'ont trouvé à moi le gentil petit français qui allait payer le prix le plus fort. Le dortoir est vide mais ils vous font croire qu'il est plein...et oui il faut les entretenir les4fainéants. Je pense qu'ils n'aiment pas que je paye à la semaine et payer2ou3jours avant la fin de ma réservation ça ne leur plait pas. Réserver sur internet est inutile car ils ne mettent pas à jour les sites et si vous y arrivez ils vous mettrons sur le fait accompli comme à moi la première fois comme quoi internet n'est pas à jour et que vous devez prendre la chambre la plus chère car l'hôtel est plein...de vide en réalité. Faire très attention aux tarifs surprises,ils vous inventeront que vous devez payer encore plus cher parce que c'est la fin de semaine,que c'est en semaine,vacances ou jours de fête. Tous les prétextes sont bons pour faire des augmentations imaginaires qui ne sont inscrites nulle part.
