Arrived here 19th June for 14 nights. Checked in by a very friendly night porter/receptionist and as there was only 4 people checking in it was very quick. We were allocated room 74 which was up to floor 6 in the lift then up 2 small flights of stairs. The room was lovely, more of an apartment with everything you would need for self catering. The views from the balcony towards telendos are amazing. After a couple of days we decided to see if there was availability to move to a room with a pool. Eva on reception was so very helpful and we managed to upgrade to room 48 which had not been occupied and was brand new. We were given the keys to see if it was ok, which I’m happy to say it was! We moved our stuff across and had a fabulous time. The breakfast was good lots of choice of cooked food and a good selection of cold as well. The staff in the breakfast room were lovely, cheerful and hard working. The restaurant in the hotel was lovey. Mike always went out of his way to make sure you had a good table from which you could watch the beautiful sunsets. The food was authentic and very well presented. Good selection of wines, beers and spirits. The hotel area was very clean and the housekeeping staff were excellent. We hired a car from the hotel which was very reasonable and the island is quite easy to drive round, just watch out for one way roads! You soon get the hang of it. Little on site shop sells most things you may need. The island itself is very geared up to walkers and climbers. To walk into Missouri where there are several bars and restaurants is about 10-15 mins depending on how hot it is. We used a taxi, booked by reception, and it was €6 There is a bus but we didn’t use it. The roads are typical Greek roads no footpaths and not overly lit up. It’s not too bad though if you keep a watch for traffic. We would probably not go back to Kalymnous as there are lots of Islands we have yet to see. Disappointingly Jet2 seemed to have abandoned the tourists there. The book in reception with details in, or should I say lack of, was useless we ended up reading through Olympic. Trainsfers we’re no the best. At the airport I asked a Rep where did we have to go for out transfers and she shrugged her shoulders. Good job there was an English couple going to the same hotel. The transfer back was ridiculous. Picked up from hotel at 4:30ish, straight onto the ferry and back to Kos. We had been told to wait in a taverna and that we would receive a text telling us what time we would be collected for the airport. We didn’t receive anything and two of the buses that pulled up with jet2 signage were full. It was around 3 hours wait. Kos airport was packed, no seating and people sitting on the floor, then the flight was delayed. Over all we had a lovely holiday, couldn’t fault the hotel or the staff, however, felt let down by Jet2 poor communication All in all perfect hotel lovely staff
