Prima hotel in een rustige straat in de buurt van de River Kwai. Dit hotel ligt op loopafstand van vele restaurants en barretjes. Dit is een zeer schoon en net hotel voor de toerist die niet veel geeft om luxe. Het hotel is in handen van een hardwerkende familie die samen met hun vriendelijk en toegewijde personeel het hotel runnen. Wij verbleven hier 11 nachten en willen hier zeker weer terug komen. Positief -Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding -Relatief nieuw hotel -Zeer schone en minimalistische kamers -Heerlijk bed en kussens 5* kwaliteit -De kamers worden dagelijks goed schoongemaakt -De badkamer is efficiënt ingedeeld, de temperatuur van de douche is constant en prima in te stellen -Handdoeken zijn nieuw, groot en ruiken lekker -Vriendelijk en toegewijd personeel -Ontbijt wordt vers voor je bereid, er is een menu waaruit je kunt kiezen -Ruime parkeergelegenheid naast het hotel -Het hotel heeft een restaurant waar je naast eten ook heerlijke koffie in diverse bereidingen kunt drinken Ik zou geen negatieve punten kunnen noemen.

โรงแรมอยู่ริมแม่น้ำแควใหญ่ รอบข้างมีร้านอาหาร ร้านนวด เซเว่นอีเลฟเว่น ห้องพักสะอาดพอใช้ แต่จากุชชี่ต้องเปิดน้ำล้างก่อน เปิดเครื่องทำฟองให้ทำงาน มีเศษผม เศษอะไรหลุดออกมา แต่ไม่มาก เหมือนแม่บ้านล้างอ่าง ภายนอกดูสะอาด แต่พอให้เครื่องทำงาน มีเศษคาอยู่ เราจะล้างเองก่อนทุกครั้งทุกที่ก่อนใช้อยู่แล้ว เครื่องนอนและเสื้อคลุมอาบน้ำสะอาดแต่เก่าเปื่อย มีรอยขาดบ้าง ไฟในห้องไม่ค่อยสว่างมาก ถ้าอ่านหนังสือต้องขอโคมไฟจากฟร้อนมาใช้ พนักงานบริการดี สุภาพพอใช้ อยู่ห้องชั้น2จะเห็นมูลนกบนหลังคาของสระว่ายน้ำ ให้จองห้องชั้น1หรือชั้น3ขึ้นไปดีกว่า โรงแรมมีที่จอดรถสำหรับคนนั่งรถเข็น มีทางลาดจากฟร้อน มีลิฟท์ขึ้นไปบนห้องพัก แต่ทางลงไปห้องอาหารเช้ามีแต่บันได ไม่มีทางลาด ลิฟท์ลงไปไม่ถึง บันไดค่อนข้างแคบสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ นอกจากนี้ถือว่าพอใช้ได้

Sky hotel. KANCHANABURI - clean basic rooms, with a great pool, Luke warm water on shower, and very hard beds. Bad lighting for shaving and makeup. No coffee or tea is supplied, but you have a kettle and 1 cup. Very large fridge. Breakfast is across the rd , good price for hotel and breakfast. Out of hotel turn right follow road and you get too the main road with shops, bars & restaurants .

Easy to find, modern building. Check-in is slow and tedious, endless clicking by the staff. The room was spotlessly clean, Wi-Fi was working. Mini fridge, small balcony. I would have liked a blow dryer in the room, but maybe it would have been available from front desk upon inquiry. Bed comfortable, TV with access for your own USB. Smallish room but sufficient for a night or 2. If returning to Kanchanaburi, I'd consider HopInn again.

I spent 3 nights here and was pleasantly surprised by the cost and quality of the property. I stayed in an upstairs room which was large, clean and well equiped. I had a large double bed, lounge and bench area to work at. Staff were very friendly and the reception spoke enough English to cover all my needs. The breakfast was limited to one Western choice but that is to be expected. The premises is located some way from from Kanchanaburi town so a car would be needed. I had a noise problem in one room but staff moved me straight away. Overall a good 3 star property for a good price.

The rooms at Hop Inn are clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. My room was spotless and had all the essentials, including a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, and reliable Wi-Fi. I also appreciated the practical touches like the mini-fridge and ample storage space.
Location-wise, Hop Inn Kanchanaburi is fantastic. It's conveniently situated close to key attractions such as the River Kwai Bridge and the War Cemetery, making it easy to explore the area's rich history. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, which was a big plus.

La maîtresse de maison nous accueille très chaleureu*****t et prend le temps nécessaire pour nous aider dans les démarches de la suite de notre voyage ... les deux chambres surplombant la rivière sont fidèles aux photos ... très jolies , très modernes , tres spacieuses et très propres ... Petit déjeuner correct . Nous sommes enchantés de cette étape NB : prévoir un moyen de locomotion pour se rendre en ville facilement ( 10 km )

We visited the pub on the way home from a great day at camber sands. We arrived at 6pm and were met by a pleasant young man who explained clearly & precisely what the house rules were because of the Covid 19 pandemic. This was only the 2nd day of opening after lockdown so we felt lucky that we had found this place to eat on our way home. My wife had chicken & ribs whilst I opted for the chicken curry. We had everything explained to us by Kate the manager of the restaurant who was extremely pleasant & helpful. We had. Diet cokes an excellent pint of Doombar and tea with out crumble desert. All the staff we met were very helpful & very efficient. The food was very tasty &!well worth the money. We will definitely come again next time we are visiting the south coast.

Kanchanaburi is outskit of Bangkok, around 3 hr drive. The Campster @ Kanchanaburi , the calmness and relaxing atmosphere offers a relax and really nice environment to chill and relax. We stayed 2 nights at different room type.- one night is campervan, one night is 2 rooms tents. Bed are comfortable. it was an pleasant stay for our family (2 adult and 2 young kids- below 8 years old) . the. Love the river scenary, dinner under the stars , breakfast is very nice too. We can choose to eat outside our tent or in the resturant . can order dinner from the resturant from menu of bbq / mookata / thai or westen food. Facilities inside the campervan and tent need some maintenance. the cupboard in the campervan cannot be closed tight and the toilet door in the 2 rooms tent in spoil , cannot close it. My kids not like the campervan, as the flying light flies and ants coming inside the van. The 2 rooms tent is big space and nice . There was camp fire every night where kids will bbq marshmallows / chocolate/ biscuit provided and not forgetting the sparkle sticks. My kids love the staffs .. The staffs are very friendly, helpful and nice. Thank you for the complimentary birthday deco and cake for my boy birthday. They do not provide toothbrush and toothpaste - bring yourself or can purchase from the counter. Recommend for those who want experience camping feel and relax atmosphere.

PPengguna TetamuI usually stay in international business hotels but with none obviously available in Kanchanaburi, we read TA reviews and chose Chez Bure. What a great hidden gem! Simple but effective decor, the room was perfect for a one night stay with hot water and a clean comfy bed. The service was lovely, with the team members always happy and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so generous. Free home made muffins, cookies and even snacks in the room! Breakfast was simple but filled a hole and was perfect. One final things I wish to highlight was how clean the room and all areas were. Better than some hotels I stay at! Overall highly recommended for a short stay.

PPengguna TetamuThe setting with grounds flowing down to the river is idyllic. The hotel itself is quite grand at first blush, but lack of maintenance and limited housekeeping soon becomes noticeable. Our room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool and the river. Lack of a screen door meant you had to run the AC and keep the door closed to keep out mosquitos. Annoyingly out room was half a step up from the hallway and the large bathroom was half a step down. A bit of a tripping hazard and not suitable for a wheelchair user or any one with any mobility limitations. 2 beds had been pushed together to create a double but that meant the headboards did not line up with the bed or the single bed side table. Beds were comfortable, AC and internet worked fine. The whole place was passably clean but plenty of dust and insect casing were present on higher walls and surfaces. Breakfast was ok not great. Coffee was a little odd. Beautiful gardens but not convenient to town. Neigbouring property throws loud parties so noise could be an issue. Towels were threadbare but sheets were nice. We left housekeeping a tip anyway figuring people had been hard up during Covid. No nearby dining so captive audience situation at dinner as town is hard to get to. The rice barge dining room floating on the river was delightful as was the pool. Quite a lot of contradictory experiences in a single stay but could be splendid - having said that rates were fairly inexpensive.

SSupasaintLocated about 7km north west of the town, the staff are all friendly and helpful. I have rented a small motorbike to get me around, a necessity which means I can go where and when I desire, small money so no problem!
Have been to the cemeteries and museums to pay my respect to ALL who suffered during those darkest of days. I have also been to the original wooden bridge constructed by the POW’s and others, it is located in the JEATH museum adjacent to the bridge that is in use these days. Entry cost 50 Baht, and there is so much to see that I took two hours inside, would recommend a morning visit so you can view the many items and read the facts behind them at your leisure.
The museum has been set up by a local man and is most definitely worth visiting. 100% value for money! I mentioned to a Thai man inside that we were so grateful that people around the area did try to ease the suffering of the POWs, risking their own necks by doing so.
My mother was an innocent child at 7 years old, alongside her mother and little sister she waved goodbye to her father, John Francis Egan, he said he was going to work for a while!! After working in Turkey, his ANZAC unit were moved on to Italy, to partake in one of the harder campaigns of the war. His life was taken by a German bullet at Mount ******, alongside many many others!
Please understand how one can feel. I try my hardest to be non judgmental and tolerant these days. I have not walked in your shoes and do not know your story.
“Footsteps in the sand” comes to mind at this moment. I have PTSD myself, and I knew coming to Kanchanaburi may get emotional, and it has.
Now my mother is 88 years young, and became a great grandma for the second time two weeks ago. Apologies if it got too personal, started as a review of the Phoo Tawan hotel.
Words are insufficient, our gratitude to all who risked their own lives and those that paid the ultimate price.
Life is precious, please enjoy the moment.

PPeriodistas Via... MMuy buen hostel con cuartos compartidos y privados, además piscina, salas compartidas muy bien equipadas como el comedor y la cocina. Lobby con sillones y estacionamiento gratuito. El wifi funciona muy bien, el personal es atento y en la puerta se pueden tomar los buses que van a las cascadas de Erawan. Además a unos diez minutos de caminata, 3 en moto, del puente sobre el río Kwai.

PPengguna TetamuThe attractions that we are impressed with and have been able to experience the atmosphere. Is Mida Hotel is a luxury beach hotel available. The interior of the room is decorated in a simple modern style that looks comfortable and the bathroom is clean and has all the amenities. There is a pool to play. And there are food arranged in a buffet style. There are both local food to food in a 5 star hotel I had the opportunity to travel because my sister was an employee in Mida Company. Me and my family are very impressed with that place. Good service, good conversation and natural Phil.

PPengguna TetamuThe guest house has a range of rooms from more modern concrete structures to wooden cottages set on wooden piers in a quiet tributary of the River Kwai. We were upgraded to a riverfront cottage, of which there are about four. The others are set slightly back but still have a river view. It’s a budget guest house, (we paid around £20 per night and stayed 3 nights) so don’t expect any frills. Things are a bit worn but it was clean enough and the bed was the comfiest I’ve had in Asia. We used our own mosquito net but even after a lot of recent rain we had no problem with insects. One slightly disconcerting thing was that the shower, and I believe though not certain, that the toilet flushes straight into the river! Despite that there is plenty of wildlife around, lots of birds and one morning we saw a 4 foot monitor lizard swim across the river. It’s very central- 5 mins walk to bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc. in spite of that and the fact that it was a holiday weekend it seemed quiet with lots of spare rooms and we slept very well. We enjoyed our time here and would come again.

AAl_Marriott1As the title of my review says, the staff are great. Knowledgeable of the local area, easy to deal with and very welcoming. I found them incredibly helpful. The owner has fluent English which makes thing easier as well. There are also 4 lovely dogs that greet you every time you arrive home. They always take up 10 minutes of my time when I get back. I was a little put out that the room has no warm water and there are no plug points in the room so charging your items is resigned to leaving them in the common area, although the owner had a solution for this and had an extension cord which ran all the way to my room through the window. The price is good and compared to other options and is the closest riverside accommodation to the bus station. I want to thank the owner for all of his help during my stay.

The choice was made in favor of this hotel after the first visit. We are satisfied with everything here: and the location (away from the noisy streets of the city), and the environment (free, comfortable and clean rooms with everything you need, a spacious terrace for rest and breakfast, a place to park a motorcycle), and delicious, hearty breakfasts to choose from....
And most importantly, the hostesses of this hotel! Lovely, caring, with a sense of humor, always ready to help guests.
