Pros: -Great location, beautiful view of the river -Wonderful dinner buffet Cons: -Check in took close to an hour as they couldn’t find my booking. Had to reach out to trip.com for help. That said trip customer service is excellent -Rooms are quite old and had a musky smell

The hotel itself and its facilities are fantastic. The rooms are nice and the food is absolutely superb. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was really poor, which made this stay absolutely unpleasant. We were given dirty table cloths (and they didn’t want to replace it after asking for it), our table was given to someone else while we were at the buffet, we had to order drinks several times until finally served, we were given the bill to sign while still eating the main dish (not even dessert) and actually wanted to order more drinks, after being seated, we had to wait min 10 min to place orders for drinks or get silverware etc. From a 5* hotel we definitely expected something better. This is the only hotel during our trip, where we experienced bad service. which is a pity, as otherwise the hotel is really nice. We would not book it again.

The suit and location were excellent, and we had high expectations for our stay. However, we were disappointed with the food, which didn’t match the luxury experience we expected. We were hoping for dishes like steak or lamb, but the menu featured biryani, grilled fish, and vegetarian pasta, which felt out of place. Unfortunately, the taste was underwhelming, with the biryani and high-tea items and even the rice and curry needing improvement. To add this, soup served cold. We hope the menu will be enhanced to include more premium dishes and better reflect the overall standard of the property. While the location and comfort deserve an 8/10, the food was a 2/10. That said, we’re willing to give it another try in the future and hope for an improved dining experience.

kandy 傑特威畫廊酒店 安靜舒適的休憩之地，服務細節有待提升 入住了Kandy的傑特威畫廊酒店，總體來説是一段令人放鬆的體驗。 酒店的房間寬敞明亮，配有陽台，我很幸運地住到了正對泳池的房間，視野極佳。房間的舒適度很好，每天早上醒來，推開陽台門，眼前就是泳池和遠處的大自然，十分愜意。酒店靠着斯里蘭卡著名的馬哈維利河（Mahaweli River），周圍的生態環境非常好，空氣也非常好。經常能看到各種鳥類和鷹，非常適合喜歡安靜和親近自然的人。 泳池是我最喜歡的部分。幾乎全天候開放，清晨或傍晚游泳時，感覺整個泳池和天地都屬於我，讓人倍感放鬆。餐廳也正對泳池，用餐時既能享受美景，又能感受到自然的靜謐。每天早餐後，我都會坐在平台上看書或處理工作，氣氛安靜，温度適宜，回想在整個斯里蘭卡20多天的旅程中，這裡是為數不多讓我能安心讀書的地方之一。 酒店距離市區較遠，可能對希望探索Kandy市區的遊客來説有二三十分鐘的開車時間。其次，服務細節的專業度還有提升空間。例如，入住時有服務人員表演當地舞蹈，但明顯有些敷衍。之後，酒店安排了一位專屬服務員，並遞給我一個手機供隨時聯繫，但她的服務顯得比較生疏。例如在房間時，我問窗簾是手動還是電動的，她回答是手動後，演示了一下又拉開了窗簾，而當時已是晚上6、7點，天色完全黑了，完全沒有打開的必要。同樣一位服務員，每天早上吃早餐時，都會問我要吃什麼。我説吃麥片時，總會問是加椰糖漿還是蜂蜜，而我連續四天都選擇了椰糖漿，但每天還是會被重複詢問。都是小事，但也可以看出服務更多是一個形式。 總的來説，Kandy的傑特威畫廊酒店是一個適合放鬆和親近自然的地方。它的房間、泳池和周圍環境都很好，性價比也高。如果能在服務細節上進一步完善，主動、貼心地去服務，整體體驗會更加令人滿意。 A Peaceful and Comfortable Retreat, but with Room for Service Improvement I stayed at the Jetwing Kandy Gallery during my visit to Kandy, and overall, it was a relaxing experience. The rooms are spacious and bright, with balconies. I was fortunate to have a room overlooking the pool, which offered a fantastic view. The room was very comfortable, and every morning, I enjoyed waking up, stepping onto the balcony, and soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings. The hotel is located by the famous Mahaweli River, and the natural environment around it is excellent, with frequent sightings of various birds and eagles. It’s a great place for those who love peace and nature. The pool was my favorite part of the hotel. It’s open almost all day, and swimming in the morning or evening felt like having the entire pool and sky to myself, a truly serene experience. The restaurant also overlooks the pool, and dining there offers both visual and sensory enjoyment. After breakfast each day, I would sit on the terrace, read a book, or work. It was quiet, and the temperature was perfect—not too hot. This hotel was one of the few places during my 20-day trip in Sri Lanka where I could truly relax and enjoy some peaceful reading time. However, the hotel has some shortcomings in its service. First, it’s located quite far from the city center, which might not be convenient for those looking to explore Kandy. Second, the quality of service felt unrefined. For example, upon check-in, staff members performed a traditional song and dance, but it felt half-hearted. Later, I was assigned a personal service staff member and given a phone for direct contact. However, the staff member seemed inexperienced. For instance, when I asked if the curtains were manual or electric, they demonstrated how to close them but then reopened them, even though it was already 6-7 p.m. and completely dark outside. These small details reflected a lack of polish in the service. Another minor issue was at breakfast. Every morning, I chose cereal and was asked if I preferred coconut syrup or honey. I answered “coconut syrup” every time, but the staff still asked me the same question every day. While it’s a small matter, it suggests room for improvement in their service process. Overall, the Jetwing Kandy Gallery is a great place to relax and connect with nature. The rooms, pool, and surrounding environment are excellent. If the hotel could enhance its service details, such as being more attentive to guests’ habits and preferences, the experience would be even better.

The experience is so different to hotel living! Nestled in kandy, among luscious green trees, warm people and a personal butler - certainly an experience. While the loaded pictures are that of the tent - the tent is not a positive experience for everyone! We asked to move to the private villas at the top of the hill - where one could actually hear the azaan (call to prayer) 5 times a day from the valleys in front of you! The people at the resort: omg! This review matches my comments of that at the Hilton in yalla! Mr haleem, Mr Sanjeev and my personal favourite ❤️ personal butler Mr Nilantha Sisira Kumara - you are an outstanding human being- your attendance to us at breakfast - served on a table that felt like we’re at home, checking up on me when I didn’t make it for breakfast or lunch - and attendance to my laundry when I spilled hair serum on two white outfits! Mr Haleem - thank u for the complementary meal on day one! Mr Sanjeev, thank you for coming to check on the laundry to see how best to help me! Thank u to the warmest, kindest, most gentlest carying human beings that have cross my path in life! While Kandy is not a place I will necessarily visit again - I will probably come head to this very place to escape the hustle and bustle of life! Oh and the chef - you make the most awesome parathas! There were days I could have settled for just a paratha and a coke! Keep it up - you gorgeous human beings! Simply amazing—I truly can't find the words to fully describe how we felt during our stay at Goatfell. The best way I can express it is this: we felt like newborn babies, lovingly cared for by parents. Your team was more than just staff; they felt like our guardians, ensuring our comfort and happiness every moment of the day. From the moment we woke up until we went to sleep, the Goatfell team was there, attentively taking care of our every need. As a hotelier myself, I strive to secure the best experiences for my friends and family when I travel and can be quite particular. Yet, Goatfell exceeded every expectation and left no stone unturned. It was simply the best experience I’ve had. Every single team member deserves commendation for their dedication and warmth. Thank you once again for making our stay unforgettable.

كانت تجربة جداً ممتازة بالنسبة للفندق كفكرة كان مصنع للشاي وتم تحويله لفندق حيث يجمع بين تاريخ وحضارة الشاي الأصيل في سيرلانكا وطريقة تقديمه للضيوف ومشاركتهم في جميع الفعاليات الموجودة بالفندق . وأشكر الجميع كإدارة وأعضاء وموظفين أجمعين .
