After getting off the Shinkansen, we exited the South Exit and quickly spotted the hotel's service center not far away. We handed over our luggage there (they'll arrange for it to be delivered to our room) and immediately started our outlets shopping spree. We had a great time shopping for three hours, then took the hotel's shuttle bus directly back to the hotel to check in and enjoy the hot springs. The hotel environment is excellent... Every window offers a beautiful view, especially in the breakfast restaurant... It was truly enjoyable to eat breakfast while watching people play golf across the way. 😎

The hotel facilities were fantastic, I absolutely loved them. However, after dragging my luggage to the train station, I spent a long time looking for the hotel shuttle because the instructions didn't clearly state which exit to use. I had to ask many people before I found out the shuttle was at a different exit. Then, when I finally saw the hotel shuttle driver, he didn't stop and just waved for us to wait further away, which was really confusing. I suggest the hotel clearly specify which exit at the station is convenient for boarding the shuttle. The hotel staff were excellent, very polite and patient, and could assist in English, which was great. The location is on the edge of a forest, and the surroundings are beautiful. The only downside is that if you go out for dinner and don't use the shuttle to the train station, you have to walk quite a distance, which is a bit inconvenient.

The hotel was almost perfect, just a little bit old. But Japanese hotels are always so well-maintained that it felt more like old money charm. The free drinks in the lounge were a fantastic bonus, you could drink as much as you liked! We didn't get to try the French restaurant as it was fully booked, so we only experienced breakfast. The view from the restaurant was absolutely stunning though! 👍 As for the Western-style breakfast, it was decent, nothing special. I'd definitely visit again if I have the chance.

I'd seen some reviews saying the facilities were a bit old-fashioned, but I actually found them to be perfectly fine. It was clean and hygienic, and the staff were very welcoming. Since it was winter, there weren't many tourists, so it was wonderfully quiet. We booked two twin rooms for our group of three adults and one child, and we were all really happy with the room views. We booked breakfast for the next day at the front desk when we checked in. It was 5400 JPY per adult, and the food was just average, but we mainly got it for the restaurant's view. The hot springs are free, you just pay a 150 JPY per person tax. You need to take a shuttle to the East or West wing. We had our own car, which made it more convenient, but if you're using the hotel shuttle, you might have to wait for the next one.

The room is quite spacious with a great design, and the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. The lobby is grand with stunning floor-to-ceiling window views. There are shuttle services to the hot springs and outlet mall nearby, but the most convenient thing is the train station! 👍

I brought my own snowboard to Karuizawa. It's a 70-minute Shinkansen ride from Tokyo Station to JR Karuizawa Station. The Shinkansen luggage racks have straps to secure snowboards. After exiting the station, head to the hotel service center (open until 7 PM) located on the far right of the 7/11 convenience store at the South Exit (Pic 7). You can drop off your luggage there and then explore the Plaza unencumbered. Take the brown hotel shuttle bus to B21, where The Prince is located, every hour on the hour and half-hour. Your luggage will already be in your room, but snowboards are not allowed inside. Each day, I'd take my own snowboard on the brown bus to the gondola at the East Building. You can buy ski passes and rent equipment there. Ski pass prices are shown in Pic 6. Only guests staying in the East Building can use the hotel's lockers for ski equipment. The West Building also has a gondola, but it requires a short walk. You can't enter the hotel wearing ski boots, but the Makibi restaurant seems to be an exception. After skiing, take the green bus back to the hotel. Of the two onsen, Hongye Bisen has newer facilities and better views from the outdoor bath. All Prince Hotel restaurants require reservations made via QR code. Pics 4 and 5 show the breakfast at the main building, which is high quality and delicious. From 10 AM to 8 PM, you can enjoy unlimited soft drinks in the bar area. Finally, use the luggage delivery service when checking out. I think The Prince offers the best value for money.

The environment is really good, and the room is spacious and comfortable. It felt like living in a forest with fresh air!

We booked two rooms for our family trip, and the hotel was great about assigning them right next to each other. There's an additional main door that locks, making it feel like a private connected suite. This was perfect because we didn't need our key cards to go between rooms, and it offered excellent privacy.

The staff are nice and helpful . The room is well equipped and cozy . The shuttle bus service and transfer service is thoughtful . The view outside is fantastic . The onset is great !

True to its reputation as an established resort hotel, the rooms are spacious, and the environment is excellent. The shuttle service is incredibly convenient. After arriving at JR, you can drop off your luggage at the Prince Hotel reception and go shopping directly. By the time you check in, your luggage will already be in your room. When checking out, you can also have the hotel send your luggage to the reception, where you can pick it up before heading to the JR station.

This is my second time staying here. The hotel is very conveniently located, with a shuttle bus right outside the station.

Facilities: Although old, everything is in working order. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: Very pleasant, you could spend days here without even leaving the hotel. Service: The hotel offers a shuttle bus, and if you miss it, the staff will even arrange a business car for you, which is very convenient.

The Prince Hotel Karuizawa is a cluster of four hotels, and this one is the best among them, costing 4000+ per night for 3 people. The breakfast environment is excellent; you could sit in the restaurant and stare out the window all day long. The room overlooks a golf course, but the room itself is quite small. The hotel offers a shuttle bus, and you can go to the Outlets for lunch and dinner, where all the restaurants are delicious.
