Horrible horrible housekeeping, we checked in after 11 pm, the room which was first allocated to us had layers and layers of dust on all the furniture for which they took pics also, hence they allocated us another room, which had the worst housekeeping we had ever seen. We saw a glimpse of it initially and understood that this might be the best that they could offer after changing the room. Hence, there was no point in asking to change the room again. When we were about to settle, we saw the earrings back stopper of the last customer who have stayed, their food droppings on the floor, hairs on the floor, bed and washroom tank which again had a layer of dust ***** with the hair, side table drawers had hair inside them, the strings of the tags of new clothes were there. Cobwebs on the window slabs, the refreshments were cut open and were left in that state in the refreshment tray, and the wrapper of the refreshment sachet was lying under the washroom sink, the hot water kettle was so dusty that it was completely unusable. The next day in the morning since there were some guests in the reception area, we privately called the general ***ager, Mr. Pal to our room, because we thought to avoid pointing out all this in front of the guests coz we thought there would be a resolution later. We showed this each and every detail to Mr. Pal personally so that he could look upon it but to our most horrifying and shocking surprise, whenever he met us immediately after this incident, he did not utter even a single word whether he was apologetic about the inconvenience caused to us, the horrifying housekeeping which he also witnessed and did not even did a courtesy follow-up with us. Even on the next day in the early morning hours when we checked out, he was also present at the restaurant for having his breakfast and met us face to face twice or thrice and still did not talk to us about the inconvenience that we faced or any follow-up regarding our conversation, forget about the apology as being in the hospitality business. The only silver lining and relief was the poles apart attitude and polite behavior of all the other staff present during that time (both during day and night shifts), be it at the reception area or at the restaurant. All were very hard-working and helpful at the same time with genuine smiles and concerns. Special mention to Mr. Melvin for his friendly behavior and guidance about the places to go nearby.
