My partner and I came to stay for a spa break and really enjoyed our stay, but the hotel could benefit from a few tweaks. Pros: - Gorgeous facilities and decor. The restaurants and spa were just fantastic and the ambience was very special - felt very modern Scottish country hotel. - Pricing of the stay and food and drinks were fair and reasonable for quality. Cons: - The temperature in the hotel was very warm, and this meant the rooms were hot and despite air con we couldn’t seem to bring the temperature down enough and it meant we didn’t sleep well. - The pillows on the bed in the rooms were awful - no shape and flat.

Wonderful stay again at this gorgeous hotel. We had a room upgrade and wine left in our room once they were aware it was a special occasion and we got treated like royalty. The staff are amazing at this hotel every time we have stayed there. Both evening meals and both breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The spa is a fabulous peaceful area and the outdoor pool (even in the rain) is absolutely fantastic.

Overall beautiful stay , the spa area was gorgeous! Would be nice if you could get drinks in the spa area other spas allow this. Food in Charlie’s was great , although drinks service in Charlie’s was a little slow when sat outside. Felt the bar area and whisky bar could be do doing with some music for a bit of atmosphere especially on a Saturday night , same with spa some background music would be nice! Cocktails very pricey! The bar maid in the whisky bar was great very friendly. Would return had a lovely time!

My Wife and I had a one night stay for our anniversary. We had a fabulous time and we will be back. I would highly recommend.

Loved staying here. It’s a beautiful location and the hotel is in a lovely park, including the golf course. My room was lovely and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent and I enjoyed drinks and snacks in the bar. Staff were friendly and helpful

For this price point the service offered has a lot to be desired!! Incredibly slow service at Charlies - over 40 mins for drinks to be served despite the restaurant not be particularly busy. Food was nice but nothing special and below what you would expect for £55 steak. Whiskey Bar however had great service and the young server was fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful on recommendations etc. Spa - The Spa itself is clean, however the Child Pool times are not enforced resulting in kids jumping about the pool & also the use of phones in the spa needs to be restricted.

We stayed in 5 different hotels on our 17 day vacation and this was by far the best. In fact, one of the best hotels I have stayed in ever! The spa, the hot tub, the sauna, the bar. Daniel especially just fabulous but really all the staff was great. It was like coming home every day and i hated to leave!

The food in both Charlie’s and Sunlaws restaurants was excellent. The former is bistro and the latter fine dining. Dish presentation, flavours and service could not be faulted. Hotel room was well equipped, very good shower in what is quite a small bathroom. Comfortable bed, good linen, decent size TV and channel choice. The grounds are beautiful when you approach up a very long driveway. Lodges are located in the grounds. Well worth a visit! Claudio and the team do a really good job!
