A nice hotel with rustic charm. Bathroom very nice, however the tap may be a little slow due to age. The garden is beautiful and the staff very helpful.
It should be noted that the hotel parking should not be used, as much cheeper parking is also available close to the hotel, with the parking rules of the hotel parking being expensive, whilst if you take your car out of the bay you have to pay again.
Also as of 2023 they have some pretty amazing Quiche, 4.5*

You had everything you need whenever it come to JR hotel, the train station are always packed with foodies and whatever necessities you need like matsumoto kiyoshi.
Fell ill this time when i arrived and the helpful staff though can't speak english well, try to help me identify the shop to get med and i greatly appreciate their customer service.
Foodies street right below of the hotel, with Shin shin ramen, skewer and kinda a party foodies street.
Very convenient but i dont think i will visit kokura so often but i will be back to this hotel if required.

It is the worst hotel I stayed in Fukuoka. The first trip with my love and everything was perfect. And we stayed Rakuten Stay Kokura Station in the last day of trip before early flight back to Hong Kong. The self check in system was convenient. We used only 5 mins and we can get room password. The interior design is good and tidy. But the toilet cleanliness is a disaster. A lot of brown stain distribute in toilet bowl and seat. The picture is disgusting along with its smell. We have to go down the self check in machine to find the customer service and request for room change. After a long waiting, and I got another room with same issue. Is almost 11pm and we have to catch early flight tomorrow, we completed our trip with this horrible stay and the mood and memory was destroyed. I do not understand how the cleanliness can be that horrible and doubt that no one check the room before guest check in ? It happen again after room change. I will not stay in Rakuten hotel again definitely.

立地条件清潔感は良い。 地下1階に大浴場とまでは行きませんが、共同浴場があります。 時間帯によっては混雑しますが、部屋のテレビ画面で混雑状況が見れて便利です。 隣接のラーメン中心の麺場田所商店のラーメンは味噌ラーメンの店で美味しい。 宿泊客はアルコールを含めドリンク1杯無料は嬉しい。 一品物もあるので居酒屋として気軽に利用出来ます。 しかし残念なのがチェックインが時間帯によっては行列が出来時間がかかり過ぎ。 18時頃行ったら30分くらい待たされた。 もう少しスムーズに出来ないものか？ チェックアウトは機械で出来るせいか、フロントに1人しかおらず、荷物を預けようと思っても他のお客さんに対応していて時間がかかり随分と待たされた。 チェックイン前やアウト後に一時的に荷物を預かってもらえるのは嬉しい。 しかしチェックアウト後一時的に預かってもらっていた荷物を夕方を取りに行くと、お客さんがフロントにいっぱいで、しばらく待たされた。 新幹線の出発する時間が迫っていたので、イライラした。 1人にかかる時間が長すぎる。 フロントの状況を事務所で把握して、空いている従業員に出てもらって対応するなど、もう少し改善してもらいたい。 これがなければ満点でしたが、残念です。 言葉遣いは丁寧です。

This is pribably the best hotel in mojiko, beautiful rooms and good location. Guests for the better rooms have access to the lounge providing drinks and snacks throughout afternoon and evening. However the premier deluxe room that we booked has a split level between the toilet and the bed areas. This is unsuitable and unsafe for people with handicap and elderly couple like us. We had no choice but to ask for downgrading to a normal room. A great disappointment.
However, we have to thank their staff for making an effort to relay our hearing aid which we left in the hotel in Hakata. They made sure that we received the ear piece in Kobe. We are very grateful.

建物は新しいのですが、無料駐車場が取り合いで満車時の対応が近隣の別のホテルは別の無理駐車場に案内されたり、コインパーキングで費用をホテル負担してくれますが、ここは隣のコインパーキング案内するだけで費用は補填なし。食事は連泊時同じものが多く飽きてしまいます。エレベータがいつも混んでいて、フラストレーションが溜まります。 New built hotel. However, I had some frustrations . Free parking is almost full, so I must park the charge(400 JPY) park. And free breakfast almost same menu every day, Finally, elevator always busy and long time waiting.

PPengguna TetamuWonderful!!! I stayed at this hotel for four nights on business in September 2022. It was close to the train station. It was in a well lit area. I would actually go jogging EARLY in the morning because I was jetlagged. Kokura castle is nearby. Restaurants and shops are nearby as well. Breakfast was included and it had a coffee maker in the room. Could not ask for more! Thanks for a great stay!

헤헤수스Perfect if you have an early flight in the morning. The hotel is just 5-8 min walking from the airport. The staff was very polite and really helfull, they speak japanese, english and korean. For breakfast you get different options of rice; bread, fish, etc. If you don't want to eat in the dinning area, you can bring the food to your room. Also, you can always walk to the airport and get food and drinks at the convenience store. Keep in mind there is nothing besides the airport and the hotel, so don't expect much. This is perfect to rest before or after a flight.

PPengguna TetamuInitially we booked a hotel adjacent to Kokura station, but due to current construction to that hotel, we decided to switch to another hotel nearby the station. We chose this hotel after we saw the uniqueness of this hotel, where they displayed comics and books at their lobby. We finally found out that hotel guests could borrow and read these books and comics during their stays. It's only a 3-minute walking distance from the station, but please note that there was no shelter in case of rainy days. Another selling point was that they were offering free breakfast and dinner for their guests. How awesome that was. The rate was also good and affordable. The room was tiny but spacious enough to open a big luggage. The view from our window was great. We could even see a ferris wheel at a distance. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and seamless. The only main issue was that the aircon could not be controlled. It stopped for a long time before started again. It even had a human voice which was pretty loud and annoying. I was almost sleepless for 2 nights we stayed there.

Ssai Hya결론부터 말하자면 이번여행 최고의 숙소였습니다 허나 몇가지 이슈가 있었습니다
분명 숙소서비스 사항에 짐보관 서비스가 있다고 되어있는데 도착해 봤더니 무인으로 운영되고 그 어떤서비스도 받을수없어 거의 30분간 발만 동동 거리다가 다시 jr역으로 가서 700엔에 짐보관을 해두고 여행을 시작하는 어처구니 없는 상황이 벌어졌습니다
또한 저의 방에 도어락이 작동하지 않는 이슈가 있었습니다 이것을 해결하기위해 관리자와 대화를 통해 1시간만에 문제를 해결할 수 있었습니다 (문이 꽉 닫히지 않아 힘을주어 밀어 주어야 됬습니다)
방컨디션은 최고였고 욕실 화장실 모든게 좋았습니다 이런저런 불편들이 있었지만 마스터에게 잘 말씀드렸고 고쳐주신다고 하셨으니 더 좋은 호텔이 될거 같습니다.

TTouravelholicFar from station, car parking lot is a bit far to the Hotel itself and extra pay for Car park which is normal in Japan. Good side is, it’s near the Castle but a bit walking distance going to convenient stores.

PPengguna TetamuThis is not a hotel, homestay to be more exact , but it the entire block , maybe 9 room in small building that is dedicated for tourist stay purpose, so I guess semi hotel semi homestay. First of all, there is no one in the building that is going to welcome , greet or say hello to you, You be given pin to enter, self check in process and go to your room. From outside it look small, but as soon I got in my room, this is the largest room I stayed in my entire trip to to Kyushu. There is enough space for my kids to run around, so you imagine that, is even larger than most studio apartment and come with large screen tv, fridge, simple cooking, oven, and etc, almost like a resident home. At first I am still skeptical about non hotel stay in Japan, but after this I am very confident, I looking forward again my stay with Grand Base. Don't worry about the location , just within 10 minute walk away from the station, so If we can do it with luggage and 2 kids, I think most people can do it with confidence.

PPengguna TetamuEverything is great about this hotel except Two things. One is the group bath is toosmall and ladies have only one hour to bath while men can go there from 3 pm to midnight. Second is that the beds are very soft and old . If you have a back pain like I do, it's not easy to sleep well. Maybe need firmer matresses

AAnkurThe hotel was on the fifth floor of the building. There was only one toilet and washroom for all person. They give bedsheet for use and for towel we have to pay. For one night stay if anybody does not want to spend so much money then it is ok. I brought my own food I enjoyed that one in my place. Small table lamp type light was there at my place.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaThe hotel is at a prime location, close to the Kokura station, shopping malls, Kokura Castle, Tanga market, streets of bars…and there are two convenient stores downstairs so you don’t need to worry about getting hungry at midnight.
The price is reasonable and the facilities are sufficient.
The fact that staff still don’t speak much English makes it hard to be internationally welcoming.
