Lanta Emerald Bungalow

Absolutely loved our stay in beach side bungalow., bungalow was spotless & so comfy. The manager & his staff were lovely & couldn't help you enough! The pool is fantastic & the bar attached was great! Massages & scooter rental are available & the beautiful beach is a stones throw away. Highly recommended, thank you Lanta Emerald! 👏🏻👏🏻😁

My partner had a fantastic stay. The bungalows were clean and the shower hot (which has been hit or miss at some other places we have stayed!). The grounds were well maintained and has a nice pool which we used on a few occasions but generally we swam in the sea which is a stones throw from klong khong beach and is lovely to walk. The resort has a bar/restaurant serving some lovely cocktails and even nicer food with plenty of choice on the menu including western, Thai and Indian dishes. They also have some ladies who provide a range of massages which are reasonably priced and were very good. We found it very conveniently located as has a number of bars and shops nearby which can be reached fairly quickly. Ron the owner couldn’t have been more helpful, organising us transfers and boat trips. He even went out and purchased a mattress topper for our bed as my partner had a bad back. We would definitely recommend this place to others and will hopefully return again

Lovely resort right by the beach. Our bungalow was spacious and clean. Ron and his family, who own and run the place, are lovely and we had some really lovely chats and good laughs. The restaurant’s food is delicious - we stayed for two days and didn’t bother eating anywhere else. The tofu red curry was the best I’ve ever had. And the sunsets are magnificent, which you get front row seats to at the restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for 10 nights in March 2023. Located in a great area, with lots of places in walking distance. We booked 2 beach front rooms but having done our research, knew that this just meant nearest to the beach, with a side sea view. A few steps from the room, past the massage ladies and you were at the steps leading to the beach. A few steps straight ahead is the reception, restaurant and bar. A few steps in the other direction is the pool. We had a hire car, so were glad we could use the car park outside the rooms. The room was basic but clean, although looking a bit tired but this is Thailand and most places are still recovering from the effects of the pandemic. The aircon is good and the bed comfortable. There is a fridge, water, coffee (tea on request) and a kettle. There is also shampoo and shower gel in sachets. The TV advertised wasn’t in the room but this didn’t bother us. Rooms are cleaned every other day but if you need anything topping up, you just need to ask at reception. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices and they also have a juice/smoothie bar. The bar next door also serves the hotel but could do with some comfy relaxing chairs. The pool is nice for when the tide is out, as the beach becomes rocky. It could do with some new sunbeds and an umbrella or 2. When the tide is in the beach is lovely, with clear warm water. There are many bars, restaurants and hotels along the beach. There are also many restaurants along the main road, just a short walk away. Great little place, with friendly owner and staff.

resort is a family business. super friendly people. the food is really good at the restaurant at normal prices. the resort is really beautiful, located on the beach and a lovely pool. the bar in the resort is cozy and the prices are good. the staff who work there are very friendly. the resort is located on a street with several restaurants and shops. we really had a great stay.

The good bits Rooms are spacious and it’s nice to have an outside terrace to dry clothes/sit on Owner Ron is very helpful with recommendations and can arrange trip bookings On site restaurant has a wide variety of local and western food. On site bar, owned by Len, is great and has a pool table and happy hour. Situated right on the beach- lots of bars/restaurants to walk to The not so good bits The bathrooms are wet rooms without a shower screen so it’s difficult to keep toiletries dry. Shower in the second room was very low pressure If you are booking the seafront rooms just be mindful they are the rooms closest the beach but do not actually face/open onto the beach. Even if you stayed in the room furthest from the beach it’s only a minute walk so no problem The wifi drops out literally every 10 mins making streaming or video calls impossible

They refused to honour a booking made and paid in full for two rooms 5 months previous. We made this booking and paid during Covid when no one was travelling. Now everything is open, they emailed us asking for more money. When we questioned paying beyond the original amount, they cancelled our booking. We’re very disappointed.

Arrived at hotel 13.30 to be shown a bungalow overlooking the hotel car park I booked a beach front bungalow when queried with owner he became rather annoyed and suggested we found other accommodation and he would refund in full Being 2 pensioners and no wifi at that time to book other accommodation and also being in a strange country we Reluctantly took room number 3 Bed was broken and taped up with black masking tape toilet was stained badly and then attempted to make a hot drink to only find the cable from kettle did not reach plug socket on wall, after asking the owner he brought an extension lead over to enable us to put kettle on. Managed to get wifi and booked another hotel within 30 minutes of us being in the room. Only thing used in room was the kettle to make a hot drink using my own teabags and cups for a whole 30minutes I Informed owner we were leaving and after his previous suggestion of us finding alternative accommodation and giving us a full refund we left. One hour later email received from owner stating he was charging me for one nights stay as we had used the room for a whole 30 minutes. Absolutely flabbergasted 😮. I have never posted on here before but please be aware there are NO beach front properties at this hotel the owner is not a very genuine person after suggesting we find other hotel and giving us a refund he has now not kept his promise, people like him should not be able to advertise a room that does not fit the description also cheap dirty plastic chairs on a tiny area outside room one could hardly call a balcony /patio and overlook a car park certainly not a beach front bungalow as advertised I also found him to be rather arrogant not friendly and he obviously did not like being told he had advertised his accommodation incorrectly I also got the impression he did not take to a female telling him some home truths about his accommodation . After reading previous reviews about behaviour towards guests I highly recommend notto stay here The room was very basic and only 2 electrical sockets in room the bed was broken stained toilet too please see the pictures

If you’re looking for a beachfront resort with a pool, reasonably priced and amazing sunsets this is the place to come. Initially we booked 4 nights here now extended it to a month. Ron and his family run the resort, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is excellent and won’t break the bank. There’s also a great bar at the restaurant that has chilled out music and happy hours. The bungalows are a good size with decent storage. Rob also offers very good priced motorbike rental and trips much cheaper than the travel agents. We will definitely return when we next visit Koh Lanta .
