Nice pools and swim up bar. Staff are friendly. The room was very big which was great. There were a few maintenance issues but expected as this is an older hotel. The hand held wand in the shower did not work properly as you had to continue to hold the knob out to keep it running, the door to the bathroom did not open properly, and as there were twin beds, individual covers would have been better than one whole cover than barely reached to the edges of the two beds. We have a saying, ”as useless as a glass door in a toilet” ...there was actually a glass door in the toilet which means there is no privacy and no-one else can be in the bathroom. Even frosting on the glass would have been better. USB outlets would have helped. I would recommend a ground floor as there aren't any lifts. Aside from this, the water pressure was good, the air-conditioning was fantastic and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. I would recommend staying in this area as it is close to the pier and shops surrounding the pier and it's quiet. It is cheap to go into the town by taxi and enjoy your time there but come back to the quiet of this area. We liked your staff member called Trip, and we hope that he gets his cat back to the island soon.

The service at the Tarna Align resort is impeccable. They keep you in touch via Whatsapp and are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Golf buggies take you anywhere you want to go into Sairee and then bigger vans for the pier. They provide good amenities eg toothpaste. We stayed in a Villa Sea View room which had absolutely stunning views and a great balcony. It was a short trip into Sairee for walks in the day or for night time activities. The only downside was the room. 1. It was incredibly dark with all the lights on at night with no option to have brighter lights on. 2. The bedside table is a small floating shelf next to the bed and sloped downwards so in the night things would fall off onto the floor. 3. The only way to control lighting and air con was by a panel on one side of the bed which meant if one person fell asleep the other person had to try and get out to get to the panel. 4. Beware of the glass door to the toilet- we both walked into it and bruised ourselves as it was so clean and see through. Could benefit from stickers on it to prevent this. 5. The fridge is right behind the bed and very noisy so we had to unplug it at night to sleep

We had a booking fully paid for 7 nights at the Plantation Koh Tao, which we were looking forward to. After 10 hours of travelling, we finally reached the place with our luggage and waited by the road. Seeing there was no lobby or anyone around, I started looking for their phone number to find someone to check us in. I called 3 different phone numbers I found online and one finally picked up. 5 minutes later a lady showed up. She then called the owner who arrived 5 minutes later on his scooter. The lady looked quite angry for some reason. We had 2 heavy suitcases to take up to the room, which was quite high up on a really steep slope (like climbing 5 floors or so). The owner took one and the lady asked me to help take the other one up. On our way up carrying the luggage, the lady staff suddenly told us ”If you don't like it here, don't come again”. I was quite surprised to hear that especially before we even reached the room. Upon arriving in the room, the lady started getting angry at us and shouting at my girlfriend. She told us to ”get the f**k out of the hotel”. The owner was next to her and trying to intervene while her staff was closed to getting in a physical fight with my girlfriend. The lady staff finally left the room and the owner told us ”maybe it's better if you guys leave” and that he would refund us for the booking we fully paid. Given the situation, we left the place immediately carrying our luggage down the hill, managed to find a new last-minute hotel to book for our stay and got a taxi there. This was quite a shocking experience and the first time this happened to me out of the hundreds of hotels I have stayed at before. I recommend absolutely avoiding this place if you want to enjoy your holidays, given the hysteric lady working there. Really bad experience.

Despite the fact that the hotel has been recently renovated it feels like it needs to be renovated again. The bedroom is ok, but the bathroom... The shower is not separated from the main bathroom and everything is always in the water. The light in the room is disgusting and dark. The air conditioning system is terribly noisy and old and the air is too damp and cold. The main building is next to the pool and during work hours there is a loud sound that can be heard in the room. The higher the room is located, the more beautiful the view is. The view alone makes it worth coming. Delicious and varied breakfast (omelet 5 stars).

You have a Nice villa by youself. We Stayed at c6a, and it was the best with 3 seperate houses. It’s very easy to get food delivered, and the reception also makes sure to keep the fridge with toast, eggs and drinks. Awesome View. Possible to see turtles and shark. Great shuttle to town. Really enjoyed our time there.

A truly special place occupying an entire beach section of Koh Tao. The most amazing snorkeling right at the resort’s beach- felt so lucky to be able to just wake up and literally step down to the beach and see black tip sharks, TURTLES, and all sorts of huge fish. Truly magical. Restaurant on site is fantastic. Free yoga by amazing teachers. Staff are friendly - feels very much like a family run resort. Had a sea view room- spacious, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean and a sunny reading nook. Would definitely recommend taking 2 or more nights here if you’re in Koh Tao.

First of all a few things 1) the beach is beautiful & lots of room on this bay to walk about / swim. Also the beach is super clean 2) on arrival I didn’t feel the hotel or hotel staff were that friendly. We were waiting to be checked in and instead of explaining the hotel procedures to me & my partner we had to wait till there was more people there and then it was explained in a group so didn’t feel as personal 3) the hotel restaurant was very overpriced & we had to wait ages for staff to acknowledge we were waiting. We did eventually walk over and ask for a menu, all the staff were standing about chatting which is fine but there was a lot of other customers waiting as well including ourselves 4) the rooms are very outdated and I have been to other hotels in Thailand in the same price range and the others were alot more Up to date. You can also hear the neighbours, we were kept up late due to the noise in other rooms ( due to thin walls) and a connecting room that the staff did not undisclosed. There was also no hooks to hang your towels after a shower. We booked a sea view however could hardly see the beach 5) there is a shuttle bus which is free and was really good. As the hotel is far away from other restaurants / bars Overall I would not stay more than one night and was glad I was only staying for one night. I would not recommend this hotel for someone going to koh tao

Not recommended to stay here. The room isn’t comfy enough to sleep. Air-condition was very noisy and the bathroom wasn’t working well. There are lot of staffs around but helpless. Only thing staff could do only says “Sorry”. They can’t fix anything cause management set the rule up very restricted. We have problem alot about the transfer car. It’s not cover the timing of ferry. Beach was nice. Food was okay. Better just to visit for sunbath. cause the tour boat will take you there anyway to see the turtle. Even we paid to stay there. They still asked you to pay for snockling anyway. Not worth it

The location is nice and quiet, walking distance to other restaurants through the beach. The beach is very nice, clean and good for kids especially when the tide is low. Our Cabana was spacious, beautiful, although a bit dark. The water pressure was low and we didn’t have hot water. We asked them to fix it but it didn’t happen on time before our check-out. We stayed for two nights. The pool has a waterfall, and it looks a little run down. Nice view to the sea from the pool, though. The breakfast (included) was ok. Fruits, bread, but not many options for vegetarian/vegans in the menu. Dinners were good. Overall, a beautiful hotel, kind staff, great location, maintenance response could be better.
