Rest Assured Guest House & Conference Kokstad

Stayed here for 1 night on 23 Nov 2022 when our car broke down. The room was small with a separate bathroom. No decor to speak of and carpeting had definititly seen better days. Floor fan & mini-fridge worked. What didn't work (especially for R850 for 1 night during the week during off-season): a) No door on the bathroom b) WiFi connection constantly cut in and out making it impossible to work c) Bed linens were ripped in various places d) No curtain or covering for the glass on the room door. Had to attempt coverage with a towel at night to block the light. e) Mattress was collapsed in top corner f) Only 1 bedside stand/table and the only lamp in the room was useless as the cord would not reach any plug point g) No liners in refuse bins in room or bathroom h) Only 1 coffee cup provided in room and no milk or creamer

This guest house has a gorgeous garden and location is right on the main road, easy to find and easy to leave! We loved our little patio and spacious room. However, it was super noisy and not the most comfortable bed! Didn’t sleep much but good value for money. Staff were amazing.
