The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The bathroom was modern and equipped with all the necessary amenities.Overall, my stay at Taj City Centre New Town was excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kolkata.

The stay was comfortable and unexpectedly as always comfortable. Been coming here for my business stays since last 5 years and get the same smiling and humble staff as always . Pronoy this time was handling everything single handedly and yet with a calm attitude and a comforting smile.

The Elgin Fairlawn has def had a facelift. A lovely ambiance. Many attentive and helpful staff, starting with Debasish at the reception, Rinky, Prakash and Paele and Anand on service . Service of rooms too was good. What def needs improvement is letting guests know what is available to order at Breakfast and for the buffet to be served hot. Re: Disappointed with room 14 downstairs which was very bare, no window, no pics, including only a sink, no vanity in the bathroom and nowhere to put your toiletries. I'm sure this could be addressed in keeping with the heritage style of the hotel. Would have been a 5 star rating if room was better appointed. Excellent location. Should be a 3.5 star based on the room.

Servicepersonal sehr freumdlich und hilfsbereit. Lage sehr zentral. 24h warmes Wasser. Zimmerbelüftung bei zimmern ohne fenster mangelhaft (upgrade wurde bei check in gegen aufpreis vorgeschlagen). Alles in allem empfehlenswert für den Preis und für einen kurzen Aufenthalt (wir waren 3 Nächte dort) empfehlenswert. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt würden wir lieber mehr für eine bessere Ausstattung bezahlen.

right from the reception desk, to concierge to room service to other services, everything was top notch. Have stayed here earlier as well and they never seem to disappoint. There is always that personal touch that Taj offers to the people staying at Taj. Could not get to dine at Souk or the other restaurant though and they didn't tell the reason as well. Hope to visit the hotel soon. Once a Taj fan, always a loyal fan !

We did a staycation at this boutique hotel with my in laws and as expected (like in any Taj property) the experience was outstanding. I firmly believe that more than anything else Taj stands for its people who will go out of their way to do anything that meets customers ask. We were travelling with our in - laws and right from upgrading them to a beautiful room, to ensuring their needs are meet to ensure they are super elated they did it all. The resort is a small one which takes you back to the zamindar days. The menu, rooms and the programs are curated accordingly. A special call out for Suvrat Misra (from front office) and Amrit’s team in F&B (to name a few Munshi, Manoj, Kamal, Koushik, Azizul, Abhik, Disha, Shayree) who will take every attention of your needs. Will highly recommend this place to anyone who would like a quintessential zamindar Bari experience…

I stayed there for 3 night. The was very nice and we felt very good experience. The food quality was also very good. Overall it was a nice stay.

A fantastic guesthouse with the spirit of a homestay. Starting from their Manager, Biswarup, his entire team is ever smiling and ever ready to ensure that our stay was not just comfortable, but more like staying with the family. The location is super convenient. For those that live shopping Gariahat is less than a skip hop and jump away. For the foodies there are a lot to explore. We lived Bunaphil, Tero Parbon and Azad Hind Dhaba. There are many more to choose from. Access to anywhere in Kolkata was easy, a uber call away. More importantly, Biswarup and team will arrange for cars that are punctual and very couteous drivers. The place offers daily housekeeping, complimentary breakfast. You can even order lunch and dinner. You have to order a bit early because, believe it or not, they first take your order and then go for the day's fresh picks. The cook is decent and the food is good home cooked food. While two bottles of water per day is complimentary, they do provide bottles at a nominal cost too. Overall it was a great stay and highly recommended !!!

The stay was good , staff behaviour was also decent , room was clean but food quantity was not apt for the given price and they took too much time to deliver the food after order and one suggestion i would like to give is to provide normal water as not everyone prefer mineral water.
