Subject: A hotel vacation experience at the Avra Imperial Hotel, Crete, Greece September 24-29, 2023, we stayed at the hotel as guests. We were thrilled and even upgraded our room to the one with the pool. When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed that we were not staying at the hotel itself but on the other side of the hotel, across the road. We were very disappointed and felt neglected. At the same time, we requested to immediately change the location of the room to the central hotel rooms since we are no different from the other hotel guests. We begged to move a room and fell on deaf ears. We booked a room in a 5-star hotel and not in a hostel outside the hotel. We immediately called the front desk and asked to change a room (name # Maria) she told us that we might change it the next day and they would get back to us and let us know. No one got back to us! After about half an hour the air conditioning in the room did not work. We called reception and they sent a team to clean the air conditioner ducts while we are out of the room. The next day, when we asked to change our room again, we were refused in the name of "sorry" without any explanations. Towards the evening you decided to change our room to a bigger room: a family room called: "Suite" in the same complex. We wanted to change the area not the room. We even offer to waive the pool without a refund Here are the flaws that were in the "Suite": * The entire time we were in the room, our room was not cleaned. Only on the third day after we informed you (picture attached) * During that entire period, the towels in the room were not changed until (again) only after we reminded you on the second day at 16:00. The towels arrived at 19:30. * The room was located next to and behind a large garbage can and we The smell stank all day and night (picture attached) * At the front of the room today are 2 huge generators / refrigerators that continued to make noise (photo + video attached) - 24/7. We couldn't open the balcony door or sit there or talk to each other at all (; * Around and near the room there are constantly workers making noise all day (we asked and understood that a large group should arrive in the next few days to this complex and we need to work there to arrange the "SUKA building" place for them) - as a result the bar by the pool is closed for the entire period. *The shower and toilet in the room were dirty - full of corrosion (picture attached) * The bathroom lock, which is an intimate place - broken (attached photo) * The trash can of the toilet - also broken (picture attached) * TV remote control without batteries. * Mini bar half empty. Until we asked to fill it. (I even ask to pay for the other 2 we drank in the first room) * There is no soap in the dispenser - O.M.G it's basic! * No internet; Because we are not in the hotel itself, there is no internet reception, so the ability to connect the iPhone to the TV fails *The reception service was long, tedious and continuous/ *
