Headline: adequate but disappointing for the price point. Service: this was the biggest disappointment. Check in and check out times were very strict and inflexible. I arrived early (9:30 am), and they told me I would have to pay to get into the room before 3pm. I declined and stored my luggage, which was appreciated, but fairly standard. When I asked for late checkout, they gave me an extra hour and could not offer later checkout even for a fee, so that I checked out at 1pm, but my flight was not until 2am. Friends at the hotel across the street had complimentary late checkout at 8pm, just saying. Room: the AC wasn't great, and the shower temperature was variable. Clean enough; not pristine. Amenities: Gym was great--lots of different machines and weights. Nice steam showers. The bar was consistently empty and understaffed--the one time I tried to order room service, no one picked up. Breakfast had limited western or vegetarian options--not necessarily a ding, but something to be aware of. The main pool was closed for renovation while I was there, and seating around the smaller pool was very limited and within the ”splash zone” of kids playing in the pool.

It has been our second trip to Palau and against we choose Sea passion hotel for our stay - rooms are big and very comfortable with a big bathroom, excellent breakfast ( buffet) and good food in the restaurant, all staff very friendly and polite, rooms are very clean, and Sea passion has a very nice little beach - I highly recommend Sea passion for a stay in Palau ! thx to the team ! I stayed at Antelope Guesthouse for my one week stay in Palau. I will start with the good things. The accommodation did pick me up from the airport as agreed. The host was nice. My room had a view. The air conditioning worked well. Most of the accommodation I didn't like. It isn't in a great location, right by the big industrial petrol storage tankers. When I first arrived the swimming pool was empty with no water in it. It took them a few days into my week stay to fill the swimming pool up with water. The swimming pool was very small. There was no steps to climb into or out of the swimming pool. The area looked quite junky and untidy around the swimming pool. Uncomfortable seating around the pool. I had a single bed room. The bed wasn't very comfortable and gave me a bit of a sore back. I could hear noise from some of the other guests in other rooms close by. They had a shared bathroom which was very small. The bathroom didn't really have anywhere to hang up your toiletries or shelves to put your clothes. Just a very basic bathroom. Overall, I didn't spend much time at the accommodation as I didn't like it very much. I wouldn't stay here again if I return to Palau. I would only recommend this place if you are on a strict budget and can't afford anywhere nicer. I would give the place a 2 star rating as there were still a few good things, but overall I was disappointed.

Given the hefty price tag we paid for a stay at this place, we expected at least a 3 or 4-star treatment if not a luxury 5-star stay. But what we were treated to was the exact opposite. Our stay felt worse than what we might expect from a super-budget motel! Most of the things in the resort were shut down and not even available for us as kept hearing the reason ‘Recovering from Covid’ throughout! IF that was the reason, then a semi-functional hotel should not be charging full price and such a high rate!!! Though the place is so tiring and basic, the reason I have still rated this with 2 stars is the wonderful staff and the fantastic waterfront location. Everything else is disappointing. - There are no Food and Beverage outlets on site, and we couldn't even get dinner in such a captive place and were forced to order from outside! And so many places were not even open or delivering here! - The breakfast was a super lame affair (didnt even qualify to be labeled as ‘breakfast’) and didnt even stay open beyond 9 am, serving stale weak coffee!! - The internet connectivity was a disaster! And it was not related to the Island’s isolated location. I was able to get high-speed connections in random budget bars on the island that are so much faster than a supposedly high-quality hotel! Not something you expect from a place like this. -There is not enough staff to help and the place is more like a FAMILY RUN mom-and-pop shop! -Finally given its ********* family owners and staff the place felt more like a ********* resort with only staff from the nation who couldn't speak in English and even the equipment in the room were all in Chinese!! Super frustrating. LOCATION: Great location on the waterfront and near downtown DINE + DRINK: No Bar or Restaurant on site. It felt like a graveyard throughout our stay with all lights off and nothing open! ROOM: We stayed in Room 203, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the waterfront and the swimming pool; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Decent cosmetics, but better to bring your own! FACILITIES: No Gym on site. Lovely pool with a nice view. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to RONNIE and Meghan along with Alexie. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Disaster of a WiFi!!. A Random model of TV that didnt even work and had no satellite connection! More of a prop in the room

I really enjoyed my stay at Palau Royal Resort, which lasted for 6 nights as my return flight had to be postponed by 2 days. It was home away from home, and I cannot thank all the staff enough for their excellent service, welcoming smiles and wonderful help rendered throughout our stay. Our room was also cleaned up very well every single day, kudos to the lovely cleaning lady who always greeted us with a beaming smile when she came around to do her job. 10/10 would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Palau!

I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I was greeted by name everytime I walked through the door. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated. Everything is spotlessly clean and the lobby always smelled nice when you walked in. It is a short walk to restaurants, shops, ATM, etc. All the activities I did, offered pick up from the hotel. The staff were very helpful helping me find something to do for the 2 days I didn't have diving planned. Due to Covid, there was not many available options but the persevered and I had something to do every day. If you want a clean central location with exceptional staff to use as a base for activities you can't go wrong.

Oya and the crew at Garden Palace were amazing throughout our stay. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, all while not being overbearing. We stayed in two different rooms during our stay: 201 and 305. They were nearly identical, both spacious, spotless, and well appointed. Every amenity I could think of was available in the room and there were opportunities to cook for ourselves with a toaster oven and stove should we choose. The sliding door to the balcony allowed us to let in the morning breeze and also look out over the rainforest below. Breakfast on the rooftop was always a highlight. There are places on the roof to also dry suits and other items from the day's excursions (thought there are also drying racks in the rooms and there is a balcony too!). The crew helped us hire a car during our stay, arranged for airport transfer, and provided recommendations on places to shop and eat. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
