Amazing hotel. Staff are just 100% fantastic.. beautiful views with lovely private beech just over road… room spotless and cleaned to perfection everyday… bar area a little expensive compared to rest of kos. But worth the money for the environment and experience… book to stay you won’t be disappointed…

This is going to be a very difficult review to write as I always try to offer some sort of ‘balance’ to my reviews - the good and the ‘not-so-good’ if you like - but everything about the Lango is not just good, it is exceptional. The hotel itself is a masterpiece of modern hotel design; not a single corner has been cut in terms of the materials used, the furnishings, the fixtures and fittings, and the high level of finish applied throughout. The pool area is beautiful, the restaurant and bar are elegant and the rooms are immaculately clean, quiet and extremely comfortable. One of many highlights is the standard and quality of the food provided in the Koan restaurant. Possibly Michelin standard, but certainly worthy of Master Chef, dishes produced in an open (glass fronted) kitchen by an extremely gifted chef. I must confess that it is the first time that I have been presented with Tomato Snow whilst on holiday - and it truly did taste of tomatoes! Amazing. The private beach, across a very quiet road, is not to the standard seen in South East Asia or in the Caribbean, but the staff work tirelessly to keep it clean and tidy. It is swept and raked every morning, the thickly upholstered sun-beds and cabanas are well spaced and are arranged with military precision every evening. I would however recommend the wearing of beach shoes as parts of the sea-bed and fringes of the water are quite ‘stoney’. But to top it all - and it is a very high pile - are the staff. Each and every member of the team that we came into contact with was, without exception, charming, friendly and helpful. I don’t normally do individual call-outs, as it is always a team effort, but I must give special mention to Olga (housekeeping) and Dessy (bar) who are both lovely people, as well as being excellent in their respective roles. So now to the difficult bit - “what’s not to like about the Lango?”. First of all, it IS expensive - for example, €12 for a large local draught beer, available for €5 elsewhere in the area, is not cheap. But, as described above, you are, generally speaking, getting a lot of value for your lot of money. Secondly, and clearly this is beyond the control of the hotel, so it may be deemed ‘inadmissible’, is the fact that there is very little in terms of alternative bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Many people hired bicycles, thereby enabling an easy 15 minute ride into Kos Town (we didn’t, but perhaps with hind-sight?). And finally, don’t expect any friendly banter around the pool or in the bar of an evening, as the clientele of the Lango tend to keep themselves to themselves and are clearly there to enjoy the elegant peace and tranquility of this amazing venue.

Where do I begin with this review.!!!This is our third time to Kos, but our first time at this fabulous small but beautifully finished hotel. It’s small , but boy does it pack a punch !Overlooking the Aegean Sea with its own small private beach area, visit here and you will not be disappointed. Everything in the hotel is finished off to the highest standards, spotlessly clean and the staff from cleaners to management are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for them to make your holiday perfect and I can honestly say I’ve been fortunate to stay in some wonderful hotels in my life but this “tops” all of them. From the moment we arrived, which was extremely late , to find we had a complimentary upgrade , there was food in the room awaiting our arrival, things just got better and better. At breakfast we were attentively looked after by Epstimi & Chris with everything overlooked by the wonderful “ Mr P”. You can tell they love their jobs and are so proud to work at the hotel by all they do without being asked. The breakfast choice is amazing, changing daily and after a day or so we didn’t even need to request our beverages, with the Maitre Mr P , ever present, cleaning , tidying , polishing and making sure all the guests are happy. This hotel is 5 star rated and quite frankly it should be higher! Now onto the reception staff….Zineta and Catherine felt like our personal staff who looked after us so so well for the week . Always greeting us with a smile, again nothing too much trouble and genuinely showed an interest in our welfare. They made us feel like royalty. I could go on and on , but think you may already be bored reading this review by now, but I cannot stress enough, if you can, stay and enjoy the magical ,perfect week we had. Finally I would like to mention Christina the hotel manager. What a lovely , kind , caring , beautiful lady she is. All I can say is her warmth and professionalism is reflected in her staff and the way they conduct themselves. **Disclaimer…. What an amazing hotel with wonderful staff, brilliant service and facilities. We really enjoyed our visit. We felt like we were treated like royalty! All the staff are friendly and so helpful booking trips, bike hire and taxis. When we arrived we were welcomed so warmly with a member of staff coming out to the coach & offered drinks & sweets. Our room was upgraded free of charge with a lovely shower, jacuzzi bath and large balcony. Every day treats were left in our room and the cleaner did an exceptional job. The hotel is extremely luxurious & everywhere is kept spotlessly clean. The breakfast is excellent with a good variety of choice with cooked breakfast, fruits, pastries and cakes. The lovely waitress Epistimi and the manager at breakfast were always pleasant & efficient. The pool is lovely and the private beach across the road is great. Fresh pool towels are provided daily. The spa massage is very good too. The only thing that could be improved is evening entertainment. There is a piano singer twice a week but I think more people would stay in the bar if there were more live singers. We highly recommend this amazing hotel.

This really was a wonderful , relaxing 10 day holiday and we were genuinely sad to say good bye to all the amazing hard working staff . From the moment you step in side the relaxed reception you are greeted by staff that can honestly not do enough for you . From organising Taxis to making dinner reservations you just feel like you are chatting to friends. Cathrene and stratos the dream team on the evening shifts. Every morning you would be greeted at breakfast by Epistimi who would pre-empt your breakfast drinks order or manager panagiotis who I could always count on to get my morning strawberries if there was none out. Panagiotis has to be the hardest working manager I have ever come across , from first thing in the morning to late at night he is always on hand & meets you with a smile . We loved the boutique , calmness of the hotel , just total relaxation from arrival to departure. The on site restaurant food is excellent and I highly recommended , the quality is exceptional. We booked a private pool room and barely left the room in the day. I really cannot say enough good things about this Hotel , thank you again to all the staff from reception/ managers to cleaners everyone plays their part in making this a memorable Holiday.

Our 2nd stay at the outstanding Lango Design Hotel & Spa, the hotel is stunning and definitely deserves its 5* rating! The rooms are luxurious and the staff are attentive, friendly and incredibly professional. We have never stayed anywhere that had such an amazing breakfast and the restaurant and food are really special. The private beach was nicely secluded last year and has been extended this year to make it even better and the pool area is such a relaxing setting to just enjoy the sun. We enjoyed watching the sunset in the comfort of our room but being able to lounge in the bar with a cocktail was something extra! We would like to say thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome, it made us so happy to see so many familiar faces again this visit and we will definitely be back same time next year!

If I could give Lango 10 stars I would. I've literally stayed in thousands of hotels. Probably more. The Lango is in the top 5. I cried when I checked out, I didn't want to leave. The pictures do not do it justice. I could go on and on about how wonderful the experience was. Just go and be thankful you chose The Lango! Thanks to the staff for everything! You are in my memories the private pool is great!

The Lango is an outstanding property on all levels. Every member of the staff was polite, cheerful, and engaging. Any service request was met with a quick and efficient response, and the cleanliness both inside and out is extraordinary. There were ample loungers available at both the pool and the beach areas, so no need to arise early and "save" chairs during your stay. The breakfast buffet offered something for everyone, and foods were quickly replenished so the offerings were always fresh. We dined at the restaurant and ordered beach service-every item was perfectly prepared and served in a timely manner. We will most definitely return to the Lango during our next visit to Kos. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer!

We decided to stay at the Lango Hotel as part of a decompression stage before heading on to another Greek Island as Kos had direct BA flights from London. The hotel was beautiful, incredibly well maintained, and the staff were wonderful. Our room was extremely large and had a beautiful view of the water. It was perfect for hosting sunset dinks with our family out on the deck. Our children (adults with partners) had rooms facing on to the pool area which were also large and well appointed but it would be worth spending the extra for views over the water. We chose the Lango Hotel because it was a clean, authentic, modern design. The quality of the food at the restaurant exceeded our expectations. The hotel also has a private beach, large pool, and a well appointed gym. The location is about 30 mins from the airport and about 15 minutes from the ferry port. This keeps the hotel quiet but if you are more interested in spending time in town, then it would be good to rent transportation as taxis are hard to come by. We will be returning next year and will spend a few extra days in Kos because we enjoyed the experience of the hotel.
