Ikos Aria

I would enthusiastically recommend the IKOS ARIA to travellers seeking a memorable, high-end vacation experience. The hotel's take breathtaking location and friendly staff made our stay exceptional. Last but not least ARIA'S restaurants were a culinary highlight, offering innovative dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients.

My stay at Ikos Aria on Kos Island was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I arrived, the level of service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The resort's location is breathtaking, offering stunning views of the Aegean Sea and a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The all-inclusive experience exceeded my expectations, with gourmet dining options that catered to every palate and premium beverages available throughout. The facilities were top-notch, from the luxurious spa to the crystal-clear pools and private beach. Every detail, from the elegantly designed rooms to the seamless activities and entertainment, showcased the resort's commitment to excellence. It was truly a vacation to remember, and I can’t wait to return!

Second year back at this wonderful resort. The location and climate here in October is unmatched (especially when the UK is so wet and cold). I've waited a few months to write a review because I wanted time to reflect, having had ten years experience with Ikos that was nothing but perfect every time. We've stayed multiple times at Dacia, Oceana and Aria and have been strong advocates with friends and family, generating at least ten more regular customers. Is the experience the same since the VC took over in December 2022. No! 2023 was fine without too much evidence of the Accountants knife slicing through the incredibly high standards set by this company but this year (2024) the evidence of some brutal cost cutting was all too plain. In addition and maybe as some form of conscious effort to disguise what has happened the management has become intrusively heavy handed. Examples of these changes were daily features of this year's stay. Minimised wine list with heavy emphasis on "private cellar" wines. Many empty bottles are on display in the bars. Staffing is tight, food quality average (clearly the previous suppliers have all had to sharpen their pencils or go) with some meals being below par. A new ‘Middle Manager’ class who appear, all too frequently (via use of the room number system identifying where you are at any point in time) to ask you, by name, if everything is OK - this seems "great service" on the face of it but is contrived and becomes uncomfortable. It is obviously a process of collecting information and trying to "manage" any issues. These people are adding no value and do not help us enjoy our holiday. What we have been used to is gradually getting to know the wonderful staff - I don't particularly want to meet the managers but do like chatting to the people with genuine roles who are a part of our holiday. My final thought is that Ikos is still a good holiday and the IKOS model is fundamentally unchanged but a venture capitalist will never sink millions into an investment and leave "perfection" alone.

We had the pleasure of staying at Ikos Resort Kos this October with my family( two kids 4,5y and 2,5 y), and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. Everyone was friendly, polite, and ready to help with anything we needed. The resort was spotless, with beautiful gardens and modern, comfortable rooms that had everything we could ask for. One thing that really stood out was the children’s pool, something we’ve never seen anywhere else in the world! The creative idea to use soft grass in the pool for extra safety was brilliant. The kids could play freely without any worries, and the shallow water made it even safer. It was truly amazing to see such thoughtful design for families. The food was incredible! Every restaurant served delicious meals with plenty of options for everyone. We loved trying different dishes, and the quality was always top-notch. Ikos Resort made our vacation truly special. It’s the perfect place for families who want a mix of relaxation, fun, and great service. We can’t wait to visit again!

The ultimate holiday experience. From start to finish a perfect holiday which will be hard to compete with going forward. The food was amazing and being a Coeliac I was catered for including gluten free beer at every restaurant,pool and on the beach. The staff was so attentive to all of the guests and could not be faulted.

We have stayed at Ikos Olivia and Oceania previously. Both of which are excellent. Ikos Aria, however, was a large letdown. The food was mediocre—nowhere near 5*, 3-4* at best. There was barely any flavour in most dishes, and the presentation was lacking. Regarding an undercooked piece of cod, I queried it with the waitress, only to be told, "Oh, was you expecting it to be more like fish and chips?" Wild. I assume because we were British, she thought we only ate fish battered and with a side of chips. I was not very impressed by that response at all. The app is good for booking reservations. However, you could never get a table booking before 8:30 pm, even looking days in advance. And when you did arrive for your meal at 8:30pm the restaurants were 90% of the time desolate with maybe two other couples... Really depressing with a cold atmosphere. We once had a booking at 9 pm and walked into the restaurant with not a single other person in there, just the staff walking around... We up and left after our drinks came as no one else arrived. The resort itself is well maintained and looked after, the rooms themselves have some wear and tear that need to be looked at with walls peeling and stained furniture. We usually book a sea view bungalow, but due to us booking late, we had to stay in the main hotel due to availability. Big Mistake. The room we initially had was overlooking the bin storage. Being woken up 7am by lorries pulling into the loading bay with their engines running and carting bins back and forth. AWFUL. The fact they have that so near to the balconies of the side of the hotel is ridiculous. The room also had a door that joins with the next room. The door shouldn't have bothered to have been there; it was like a piece of paper was separating the rooms. You can hear EVERYTHING next door; people talking quietly sounded like they were in bed with you, it was terrible. Complained, and a few days later, they moved us to another room near the front of the hotel, away from the bin storage and to a room with no 'in-between door'. This room was great, and we didn't hear a peep from other guests for the rest of the stay and wasn't awoken by bins being organised and collected at 7am. After speaking with the Manager, he informed us they are in the process of removing all the in-between doors as they have had so many complaints, so bear that in mind when booking to request a room without the door! Last thing to add about Aria is this is heavily targeted towards families, which is not the impression you get when viewing the resorts website. Every pool is occupied by children and babies. Compared with Olivia and Oceania the Adult areas/Adult pools are nice and quiet. The 'adult' pool area at Aria is located in the 'Deluxe' area and is TINY. There is about 10 sunbeds that fit around the pool AND it has no sea view. It's completely covered behind high bushes so you cannot see out to the resort or the sea...It sort of an after thought and shov
