Amazing views, great location and a better family running the hotel, fully recommend

This hotel is an absolute gem. They really do go above and beyond to look after you. Although it may be a 3 star facility - their service is truly 5 star. Chrisoula is the hostess with the mostess! She is such a caring, gracious and lovely person who is always on hand to deliver that impeccable hospitality. Chrisoula made travel arrangements for us on multiple occasions and again, this was a fantastic service. The hotel has some of the best food I've had in Kos. What makes it even better is the truly great value for money they offer whilst also growing most of the ingredients that they use in their cuisine. They even make their own olive oil! Which is truly a delight. The cocktails are fantastic - I had some strawberry dacquiris which were absolutely delicious. Fresh crushed strawberries with ice and a generous dose of booze. So tasty - highly recommended. The accommodation offered fantastic value for money - two bedroom apartment with a beautiful balcony - which is huge; great for a family. We were very happy there and used it as a base for our holiday. The hotel is in a quiet but central Tigaki location with lots of lovely tavernas in close proximity. Sagittarius, Alikes, and Plori to name but a few favourite eateries. The pool is a generous sized and the pool area offers lots of relaxation space. When we were there it was fully booked and it was never crowded. Really spacious and clean, two warm pools with a slide for the kids and a bigger pool for those that can swim. Most of all I want to really compliment the Golden Sun on their warm family atmosphere. It felt like a home from home and made our family feel so welcome. My children even made friends with a local resident (little Angel girl called Mikaela) and we were all so sad to leave them. They made us feel like part of the family whilst there and it is honestly such a special place. This is the second time in 6 years I've been - last time was before covid for a week and this time was for two weeks. Next time maybe 3?!

Friendly family run business, highly recommended! Stayed here for the second time for two weeks with our two kids and my partners mother. Had a great time in the pool, well looked after throughout by the family and great food served at the pool bar! Also makes a great base for exploring the island as sits roughly in the middle of Kos’s coastline. Guaranteed a warm welcome and a great stay, we will be back!

We had 2 weeks family holidays in June. Area around is so beautiful, close to the beach, amazing sunset. And then hotel owners is soo friendly and nice people. Thank you so much for great holidays...

A warm family welcome immediately before the season opened was most favourable.....thank you to George. A friendly, helpful start made all the difference. And as we unexpectadly checked in earlier, they accommodated us easily. Excellent quiet location near all restaurants bars and beach, we were fortunate to acquire a room with a beautiful sunset that gave views of the salt lake. All mod cons in a basic kitchenette. En suite very comfy beds and a nice touch providing pegs to hang washing outside....they've thought of everything. Free parking on site. Safe and clean with regular bin changes added to our great stay with George and his family! Only fair I couldn't score it more because some of the facilities weren't available, but it's definitely a great place to base yourself to explore the northern coast of Kos.

Myself and my family (2 adults and 2 young children) have just returned from Golden Sun. We have had the best time at this lovely little gem of a hotel. Firstly, I want to give a huge thank you to George who was so helpful during the booking process. We booked our holiday less than 24 hours in advance and George was extremely helpful in accommodating rooms and dates for us to ensure we managed to come on the dates we needed. He also very kindly arranged our transfer from the airport too which was such a help for us travelling with a child with additional needs - no waiting around for taxis outside the airport. Secondly I would like to comment on the hospitality provided by Chrysoula and John. The food they made in the snack back was lovely. They work so hard to make sure all the guests are looked after and were especially accommodating with our children's food allergies. Chrysoula also arranged our return transfer and kept the bar area open for us while we waited to be taken to the airport fairly late at night which was such a lovely thing to do. The apartments themselves are situated in a perfect location. Extremely close the the ***** with bars restaurants, the beach and minutes walk from a lovely bakery too. This is a small , friendly and family run accommodation and due to this you are made to feel so welcome and feel part of the family for your stay. The pool area is lovely and relaxed, there are no reserving of sunbeds early in the morning like some accommodation we have stayed in. They are plenty of sunbeds and tables to eat at. There is also a fully enclosed children's play area with swings and a trampoline which was a godsend for our 6 year old with additional needs who likes to run off as it meant she was safe and able to play without a worry of her running into danger. The rooms are typical Greek apartments, they are very clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The aircon is needed for night time as the rooms do get quite warm but there are also mosquito nets on the balcony door which allowed us to keep the door open during the day to let the air in without worrying about the mosquitos. The views from the balconies are beautiful, looking out onto farm land, the the salt lake and mountains. The food served in the snack bar is lovely, fresh, home cooked food and there is quite a selection to choose from - the club sandwich was a firm favourite along with the freshly made chips. I also want to add how brilliant Chrysoula was with our children , she made such and effort to get to know them. Having a child with additional needs who can sometimes display extremely challenging behaviour can sometimes be a worry on holiday but all staff and guests were extremely accepting and not judgemental in any way which was so refreshing. The whole holiday has been lovely. Tigaki is a beautiful resort. The beach is excellent and the people are so so friendly and accommodating. We really hope to return to Golden Sun in the future

Wat een fijne vakantie hebben wij hier gehad ! Hele mooie omgeving ! Het is een klein complex en de eigenaren zijn een familie en enorm aardig ! Thomas is helemaal een topper en de man met humor. Fietsen kun je via de receptie huren en daar lekker mee op pad. Zo kun je veel van de omgeving zien en bijvoorbeeld naar Kos stad. Dat is op de elektrische fiets ongeveer 35 min fietsen, heerlijk langs zee, ga niet via de hoofdweg. Het stadje in de buurt Tigaki is op 10 a 15 min lopen en daar ligt ook de zee. Klein plaatsje, wel gezellig. Pluspunten van het hotel, prachtige loungesfeer, schone mooie kamers, eten is goed. Niet perse mega uitgebreid maar heel smaakvol. Vriendelijk personeel. Lekkere bedden. Dit hotel heeft halfpension, tussen de middag kan je hier ook heerlijk eten voor een redelijke prijs. Minpuntjes : Prijs voor frisdrank te duur. De hanen in de omgeving die kraaien in de ochtend vroeg (neem evt oordoppen mee) Toetjes keuze in de avond is beperkt. Prijs kwaliteit zit echter helemaal snor (bijna ongelooflijk), voor de geboekte prijs zo een goede vakantie. Wij gaan zeker terug !
