Apollon Hotel

I visited the Apollon hotel with my fiancé and younger sister, overall a great stay and beautiful island, would return: Room - our room was always clean and a decent size, only thing we struggled with was having 2 single beds pushed together which constantly moved apart. Main hotel - we thought the hotel was beautiful, very modern and spotlessly clean. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and obviously very well maintained. Pool - pool area very nice and again always clean, we never struggled to get a sunbed however it could be hard some days to get an umbrella. Food - breakfast and tea- no complaints at all! Always fresh and warm, my sister and I are vegetarians and we never struggled to find anything to eat. Lunch time lacked as we found only pre wrapped buns which all contained meat, this wasn’t a problem for us as there are 2 supermarkets nearby. Staff - all very friendly and helpful, especially the bar staff!!

This hotel really impressed us - To keep this review honest, there were a couple of negatives, namely some of the rooms balconies' are in the shade, so room pick is luck of the draw (wouldn't sit on my balcony for any length of time anyway), the internal bar was not open (possibly as it was October) but the pool/veranda bar was about a 15 second walk away and the plastic glasses were quite small, especially for beers. Coffee was only available in the restaurant for Breakfast The positives - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and the staff are really "on the ball" to keep it that way, especially in the dining area. The food was very good, with a fantastic variety and not much repetition through the week. The "main" (meat/fish( portions were "small" as someone commented, but all you had to do was have more than one piece - there are no limits on what you can have or returning for "seconds". There was an abundance of main dishes, salads, vegetables, puddings and fruit, among other things, with no 2 days the same. The staff, from the managers to the cleaners are extremely polite and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and our cleaner "Lilyana" was an absolute artist when it came to towel art, with different designs daily- it actually became part of the enjoyment to daily guess what the days creation would be when we went back to the room. As advertised, there is no entertainment, which was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. Kos is a 25 min walk, or 8 Euro taxi ride away, and there are many things on offer if you want to be entertained. The beaches are a 150-200 yard walk from the hotel, some sand, some shingle. All in all a very enjoyable stay at a very well managed hotel - we enjoyed it so much, we will definitely return next year

Hotel lovely staff in general great,the barmaid was fantastic some of the barmen were lazy and miserable. The room was very clean and the maid Blerina was lovely and the things she can do with a towel was lovely.Things they could do to improve the hotel is to have a shower room if you check out late ,and a fridge to keep the food in at the bar as they were left out in the open air with flies on them and dried out very quick in the heat
