I stayed at this hotel as it was convenient for taking an early flight. However, the service at the hotel is terrible. I have been living in China for several years and I have done extensive traveling around the country. This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in China. The service given does not correspond to the price charged for the room.
When I arrived to the hotel it was 11pm. I waited for several minutes at the reception before I was acknowledged. There were two staff members and one was typing on their phone. The staff clearly saw me but did not acknowledge me and continued to use her phone. Finally, she gave me the foreigner registration form which I had no problem completing. However, I don’t understand why the staff didn’t give it to me sooner. It was already late and I just wanted to sleep and catch my flight the next morning.
After completing the form the staff did not tell me about breakfast or give me any information.
I complained that night and they offered to bring me McDonald’s in place of the breakfast. I told them I needed to check in for my flight at 6am and they said they would bring the breakfast to my room before that. The breakfast next showed up and I was given the excuse that McDonalds needed to grind the coffee.
I complained and I was issued a 50% refund for the experience. However, I can’t stress enough how truly awful this hotel is. I was really stressed after my experience and I actually barely slept. On a side note, the rooms aren’t well insulated and I could hear the airport announcements coming from the floor above. Furthermore, the hallway leading to the rooms resembles a hostel dormitory.
I can’t believe this hotel is charging such a high price and offering such a low quality product. Upon talking to the manager via WeChat she made excuses that the reception lady had a meeting and that was the cause for delay. However, I don’t understand why a meeting amongst hotel receptionists should become the concern of the customer. I also don’t understand how it’s professional for them to be using their phones during work hours.
In addition, when I checked out I didn’t receive an apology, goodbye, how did you sleep etc. I’m not trying to complain about everything here but what I’m saying is the price doesn’t correspond to the product.
Please don’t make the same mistake I did. There’s another hotel at a cheaper rate quite close to the airport that offers a hotel shuttle. Save yourself the stress and negative experience and stay at a different hotel. Do not waste your money here. The staff are awful and the rooms are poorly insulated and not even that nice.
