Jinbi Club Chinese Courtyard Hotel (Kunming Old Street Jinma Bijifang Branch)

Our recent stay had both highlights and frustrations. The hotel enjoys an excellent location in a quiet area, surrounded by numerous dining options and major landmarks within walking distance. The rooms were consistently clean, and housekeeping provided attentive daily service. Staff generally showed willingness to help when issues arose. However, several issues impacted our stay significantly. While we appreciated being offered an upgrade, the execution was problematic. We were initially placed in an upgraded room for one night before being told we needed to move, suggesting possible overbooking during the New Year period. The second upgraded room had serious plumbing issues - the bath didn't function properly and the bathroom would flood even during regular showers. What particularly concerned me was being asked to write a 5-star review in exchange for the upgrade. This practice feels inappropriate and undermines genuine customer feedback. In retrospect, I would have preferred staying in our originally booked room without the complications of changing rooms and dealing with maintenance issues.

We had a big clean room, comfortable beds and room air freshener as well. The bathroom amenities were excellent. The choice of breakfast is very good. Staff goes beyond expect to help us out. We already booked for a return stay! Looking forward to it! 👏👏

This cultural hotel is located in heart of Kunming City inside Jinbi Square. However, our DiDi driver dropped us at a roadside and we couldn’t really find the hotel as it’s a maze inside Jinbi Square. That was abit of let down as walking with luggages on the stones path was really a hassle. Other than, the hotel was great and near all the eateries! The services and hotel staff was top notch 😘 Hotel breakfast was decent too ❤️
