The hype is not real. Before you go, you think you'll stay in the salt desert under starlit skies, but alas, all your plans are a flop show. We went for a 1-night stay and it's not recommended; it's a complete waste of money. You enter the tent city, which is beautiful but entirely artificial, with shops, spas, etc. that you can find anywhere. Then they take you to the Rann via a bus for 1 hour, but it's not even the real Rann - it's man-made, as I discovered when I stepped on it and removed some sand to find soil underneath. If you just want hospitality, you can go, but seriously, there's nothing wow-worthy; the food was good, with Gujarati cuisine available, but nothing amazing. The cultural performance was the only worthwhile part, featuring standup comedy, local dance forms, and some mind-blowing creative artists. Overall, it was a one-time visit; I went with Evoke Experiences, which offered good hospitality, but it's not worth traveling so far to see a fake Rann for just 1 hour.
