I recently stayed at this hotel in Kyoto with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcome throughout our stay. The hotel was impeccably clean, which added to our comfort. Its location was perfect for exploring the city, with easy access to the subway just a short walk away. This made it convenient to visit all the major attractions without any hassle. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for families seeking a pleasant stay in Kyoto.

Room is very compacted. The shuttle bus to Arashiyama and Kingagugi are very helpful.

The worst choice to us, very small room, worst service and only the good are location and shuttle bus for the Golden Palace, forgot this hotel in Kyoto.

The room is definitely bigger than the usual Japanese sized ones and we thoroughly enjoyed the ample space. It's a nice and cozy room with a clean and functional bathroom. Security after hours is good too, needing a key card to tap in at the main doors. Located just above a subway station, it isn't too difficult navigating your way around. Several convenience stores nearby as well. It also provides free shuttle to bamboo forest, check hotel for timings.

Tremendous value for a clean hotel with friendly staff and not to far off the beaten track.

Really like the location. 4 train stop away from. Kyoto station. 5 min from subway line! Compact hotel with nice amenities. Tho managed to find some dust here and there on the carpet. Other than that. It's been nice. Well ventilated space!

The facility, service, and environment were great, but unfortunately, there was one issue that affected my stay. When I arrived in my room, I noticed that the duvet on the bed had marks on it and was not clean. This was disappointing and made me question the overall cleanliness of the room. However, apart from this issue, everything else was great. The hotel's facilities were modern and well-maintained, and the service provided by the staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was also very convenient, with easy access to public transport and many tourist attractions. Despite the issue with the dirty duvet, I would recommend Hotel Monday Kyoto Marutamachi to other travelers, as the overall quality of the facility, service, and environment was good. I would suggest that the hotel management pays more attention to the cleanliness of their rooms to ensure that all guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Steps from train station! Service is excellent. Will definitely come back again!!
