We had a delightful stay at Hotel Pagong with M's in Kyoto. Although the room was compact, it was perfectly adequate for two guests. The service was consistently kind and attentive. The hotel's location is excellent, with a convenient 15-minute walk to Nishiki Market and both a 7-Eleven and Family Mart less than a block away. We highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, friendly service, and prime location.

The hotel was amazing. It’s close enough to Goin and Yasaka shrine to walk. You can also walk to nishiki market. There’s also a bus stop and 7/11 right outside the hotel. The staff was great, they let me borrow a charger when mine broke and the complimentary pastries in the morning were great. My only complaints are that the room was a little too dark for my liking, even with all the lights on and there isn’t a refrigerator and complimentary bottle water in the room. But overall, great place, I’ll definitely stay again.

The location of hotel is in a walking distance from Kyoto Station. It is not close to the town 四條町. Every time when we go for shopping, we need to take a bus to the downtown. Easy access to anywhere by bus. The hotel staffs are very professional. The breakfast is highly recommended to book before departure. The hot spring, the room size, buffet breakfast, the service of reception are in a high standard. Highly recommended to the travelers who is planning to Kyoto. Interesting point: No shoes in this hotel. U need to lock your shoes in the locker before you walk in the hotel. They provided socks for you to wear.

Overall was okay, a bit far from Kyoto staion. But, hotel has shuttle bus every 20 mins and make it more convenient. Service and amenities were nice. The worst part was humidity of the room and cleanliness (quite low compared to Japanese standard), plus bedsheets were smelly.

I love this hotel!! The room was huge as compared to other double rooms in a similar class hotel! The service was smooth. The hotel is new so we enjoyed the brand new amenities, super comfortable and clean! I cannot say anything bad about this hotel. It's absolutely 11/10!!

Stayed at Youzanso during late March 2023. It was during the cherry blossom season. We (family of four) had the room with the Lake Otsu view and private bath. The room was sufficient for 4 of us but I wouldn't call it spacious. However, the room and bathroom were clean. The room came with dinner and breakfast for 4 of us and costed about AUD800. The dinner and breakfast was quite good and would recommend to anyone considering the half board. It might get old if u were staying for few days but we were only there for one night. We toured Kyoto for the day and stayed here overnight then went back to kyoto for more sightseeing. It wasn't as convenient as if you stayed in Kyoto but the travel wasn't long or difficult. The property is bit dated and looks more like a hotel than a ryokan. The facilities are clean but also look dated as well. However, the public onsen is great, clean and the outdoor bath is a must. When visiting Kyoto, we wanted to enjoy some time in an onsen resort so we decided to spend two nights in Ogoto Onsen. After checking the details in their website, we booked a ”Biwa no kaze”room with private onsen and view of Lake Biwako. And we were not disappointed. The room looks newly renovated, and is very spacious with two beds and sitting area plus a tatami room. They offer different dinner packages, and we have chosen crab with steak as the main dishes for the first night, and lobster with shabu-shabu the second night. The foods were of very high quality, tasted and looked very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of different items. The ryokan is excellent in nearly all aspects. We would stay here again when we next visit Kyoto.

PPengguna TetamuRoom is good for Japan standard. More spacious for 2 pax with coffee table and chairs. 3 pax room is a squueze & left little room for us to open all the luggages. Bathroom is excellent separate bath & restroom. I thought the room cleaning is only 2x a week but glad that it's done daily. Note they give you the amenities during the check in but it's a lot! They even gave nice moisturising face mask. A nice indoor garden running through the lobby and restaurant makes for calm oasis. Amazing breakfast where they even served sake & sochu with selection of cute tea tins. I am surprised at how wide the selection is with sushi, sashimi, western, japanese and even stew/ cooked food. I dont know how they can manage to squeeze so much for breakfast :) Better to book the room inclusive of breakfast otherwise you have to pay Yen 2700 onsite. In anycase still worth the price compared to SG. They serve great afternoon tea Japanese dessert platter (free of charge) and night alcohol drinks too. Reminder to be there on time or 30mins before close of service. It is not very near to the Kyoto station but good 5 mins walk. Not many taxi drivier know the area so recommended to take the hotel namecard to show. There are other hotels opposite or near to station but this hotel won my heart with it's earnest service and additional touches. This is among the mid range hotels of my trip but the value they gave is much more in comparison. Beside the hotel there are several excellent restaurants & izakayas. I had excellent dinner at Quatro italian bistro for amazing al dente pasta and I was surprised to learn there's a great rated sushi Tomisen behind the hotel. Must reserve in advance. For families can walk 15mins to Aquarium for great afternoon. My daugther lost her mobile phone on long distance bus from Takayama to Kyoto. The reception helped to call and arrangement with the bus station to retrieve and sending via Ta-q-Bin. I am just amazed at the honesty, service with pride culture and excellent Japan system!! Kudos to the people and lovely Kyoto.

OOscar LeeHands down the best hotel we stayed in throughout our 10 day trip in Japan. Super attentive and friendly staff, breathtaking architecture, and intuitive tech. And of course the convenient location and unbeatable price goes without saying. Really a must stay if you happen to go to Kyoto. We're already talking about making another trip to Kyoto and will definitely be staying there again!

PPengguna TetamuModern and chic hotel in a central Kyoto location. Had the best nights sleep in the comfortable beds and the shower was incredible. We enjoyed food and cocktails at the restaurant which were also of a very high standard. Treats at the bakery were also fabulous. However, we would have preferred the option for coffee in the room as you would most hotels of this standard rather than being forced to purchase it as extra. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Kyoto!

Sebuah penubuhan yang agak baru, Ala Hotel Kyoto menawarkan salah satu onsen luar terbaik yang pernah saya temui dalam perjalanan saya. Terletak di tingkat 10, onsen ini disertai dengan ruang istirahat zen yang tenang, sesuai untuk berehat selepas berendam atau menunggu penyiapan pakaian. Walaupun perkhidmatan dobi adalah percuma, tetamu harus ambil perhatian bahawa detergen tidak disediakan. Nnatashahad a pleasant stay at kyoto tokyu hotel! the room was clean, spacious and the staff are so friendly and sweet ~ they have a shuttle bus that goes to Kyoto station every hour which is so useful! the shuttle bus stops just right outside the hotel :) will definitely come back again !!

PPengguna TetamuWe had an excellent stay at this Machiya (traditional Kyoto townhouse) for 3 days. We only did in-room dining one night, but that was also excellent. The check-in process is a little strange, as you will receive communication from the company that's a little dense and will not interact directly with the staff unless you choose to. We had to scan and send our passport photos and fill out a registration card, but that was it. The property is small by European/American standards in the sense that you will need to be careful to avoid damaging (including possibly your own head) things during your stay due to height and luggage weight. There's slippers provided to switch from your walking shoes to walking inside the property and there is an excellent bathtub and washroom with washer. My two cautions - this firm has English speaking employees available during business hours (and an emergency line) but it is geared primarily towards the Japan renter. Be prepared to know Japanese or be willing to take the time to translate certain things via your cell phone/app of your choice to understand how to work the various appliances. As an older building, learning the heating/cooling. The second caution, as an older building sound is an issue. You will hear the street and need to control your volume in order to be a polite guest. If this isn't something you're looking to do, then just throw the money at a more modern hotel experience. We liked it - not everyone will.
