La Manigua Lodge

The lodge is situated in a beautiful spot by the rive. The facilities are immaculate, very comfortable beds. Juan Pablo and his team provided us with an amazing experience, lovely food, serenade on the river at sunset and fantastic walks to the park- highly recommend this place

La Manigua surpassed our expectations. We traveled with two kids ages 9 and 12 and they absolutely loved the place (as we did). A remote and beautiful location yet with all the amenities of home, comfortable beds, beautiful outdoor shower, cool kids’ play hammock, delicious food with seamless dietary accommodations, and attention to the smallest details. They also made all arrangements for the trip (flight from Bogota, private guide, canoe to hotel and hikes) with absolutely no issues. Extras like serenata and cacao workshop were wonderful extras. We feel lucky to have found this special spot. Kids are already asking to go back and planning who they want to show it to.

This place is absolutely divine! In the middle of the rainforest with so many animals to see. The food is healthy and delicious, the tours are amazing - and an absolute must, and the house keeping is excellent. This is such a treat in Colombia!

The manigua lodge is a great place to stay in the middle of the jungel.A lot of animals arround to see (monkeys,birds,spiders,snakes and so on)we did also the tours to aquas cristales with them an it was a great experience!Our guide was professional and very good! We really enyojed our stay.that food was for us the only thing what wasn't so great, but ok.

Incredible experience. Everything was perfectly organised from start to finish - Bogotá to La Manigua and back. The facilities were amazing - even hot showers and a flushing toilet in the cabin. Caño Cristsles is unbelievably beautiful and our guide, along with all the staff working for and with La Manigua were great. It’s an experience of a lifetime.

Manigua Hotel organised the flights to and from Bogata. We were flown in a 19 passenger light plane to Macarena AIrport. Maximum luggage is 10kg per person so we left all our heavy gear in a Bogota hotel and picked it up on our return. Manuga Lodge is in the jungle and reached by river on a small boat. You are likely to see lots of turtles on the riverboat trip which takes around 15 miutes. Do not expect luxuries. The shower and toilet are outside so if you get up in the middle of the night to go to the loo, be prepared to face the mosquitos. The shower only has cold water. The villa has no fan or air conditioning. It is very humid so your clothes are likely to get damp. The bed is covered by a mosquito net. There is WIFI but it is a bit limited and there is no mobile signal for most networks. Meals are provided in the main lodge and it is a pleasant communal area. Everyone going to Manugia goes with the intention of visiting Cano Cristales, the cloured rivers. These colours are seasonal so make sure you go at the right time of the year if you wish to see them. Manigua provided our guide and the long hike to get there is very worthwhile and the final treat is to cool down by a swim in the clear water pools. I would recommend taking polarised sunglasses and a polarised lens for your camera to delete the glare from the sun on the river. I'm very pleased we went but the acommodation was a bit too boy scout for me.

Our family of 4 had an amazing time at La Manigua Lodge, the beautiful private cabins surrounded by nature, the open air showers and great mesh hammock were some of our highlights. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the food was incredibly tasty! They packed our lunch for our long daily beautiful walks and they were so good. We enjoyed the cacao making process where we even got to make a cacao face mask. Thank you 🙏 to Miguel and Bridget for making us all feel at home. Highly recommend this beautiful place!

Our stay at La Manigua was very nice. The lodge is in the middle of the jungle, which makes it a truly different experience. The hikes to cano cristales was just amazing, there are no words to describe the beauty of this place. Our guide Carlos went above and beyond to show and learn us about the area and the animals that live there. The staff at La Manigua is very service minded and supremely knowledgeable. We can highly recommend La Manigua for a truly unique experience.
