I'll admit this hotel is nothing fancy. The room are a bit dated BUT it was clean and had nice firm beds.
The hosts were great - I had an issue with my air con making a noise it shouldn't make, I told them in the morning and it was fixed that day.
If you are happy to walk, just about everything in Swan hill is only 1km walk away. The Pioneer settlement is just around the corner so it's even easier to walk to it. The train station is a 10min walk.
I would stay here again plus I was greeted by Ben the ragdoll cat on the counter at reception so that was a bonus.

Only consider if you want a cheap, cheap experience. Dated building and amenities. Still, you get what you pay for. Better than out on the street! Pay $30/40 if you want a more comfortable evening. Is very central and close to City Centre. Very much a sixties establishment. Seen better days.

I let them know if l didn't receive satisfactory response that l would be making this experience public, To refund my fully. He hung up on me. DON'T STAY IN ROOM 7. Black mould in shower and bathroom. I stayed here 22&23rd of June 2024. I took photos and showed the owner/ manager after l had gotten dressed. I showed him the photos, said it was disgusting and BLACK MOULD WAS POINSNOUS. He asked how long I would be out and said he would clean it. After 5 hours of being out l went back only to find it was NOT CLEANED,he can out and said l could not use the shower, he had sprayed it and he wanted to come back in. To wipe it, Not even scrub it!!! I wasn't feeling well and went to reception to tell them it was not suitable for them to come back in. THAT I WOULD NOT USE THE SHOWER AT ALL. Would you think in 5 hours they could of cleaned it, After 5 hours They did not clean the mould. They dud not offer me a different room to stay in. So very very angry, upset by the poor service and response to my request.

A Perfect place for a business trip. McDonald is just cross the street. Reception is still open when we get there at 11pm (we ringed ahead so the staff open the reception until we arrive). Big parking space for our trailer. I think it is the only motel able to accommodate big trailers or trucks. Have some chat with the staff. They are new but very friendly. The place is nice. The pool is awesome. Room is clean and comfy. Much better than last year.

A basic motel which will suit the budget traveler. The rooms are smallish. There is a major chain fast food outlet across the road. Plenty of parking which is not visible from the main road. The aircon was a bit noisy - finding a balance between cooling and ventilation was a challenge.

Further to my first review, I would like to amend it. We stayed here before, and loved it. We’re here again, and it’s not so good. New managers have taken over, and the standards have slipped. The ‘high speed wi-fi’ is at best very poor. Only way to get a half-decent signal is to sit outside, and it’s still poor. There is nowhere in the room to sit comfortably - the rooms need couches. There is no clock radio in the rooms. The pool is very shallow - no good for swimming, and is only a large plastic shell. It needs to be dug out deeper and tiled. Thank goodness we’re only here for one night. We won’t be back.

The Pioneer Station Motor Inn has everthing that a motel has. It was comfortable - shower room a little small but manageable but time for a makeover. The owner was very friendly and accomodating and our stay for the week was very pleasant with great airconditioning thru a very warm week.

A one night stop on our way home from a fortnight in Adelaide, and we found it to be pleasantly surprising. The rooms are a good size, the air con super efficient and the owner was very friendly and helpful on check-in. Very comfortable stay, and we will use this motel again. They also had the foresight to turn the air con on before we arrived, so we walked into a cool room. Highly recommended.
