Stayed here before because of it's short distance to Cornell where my son attends school. Hilton hotels are usually pretty good and I always look to stay in one. But our room this time was not satisfactory. The room seemed to take a long time to warm up and it was about 20 degrees outside. But I thought we would just wait and see but it never got that warm and it was too late to ask for another room. The thermostat is set at a maximum of 76 degrees, but by the time it read 76, it definitely did not feel like it was even 70. I estimate it was about 66. This led to my wife and I having trouble sleeping because the normal blanket wasn't warm enough. After several hours and waking up about 4 times, I finally got another blanket from the closet and finally felt comfortable enough to sleep. Mind you, I was already wearing a long sleeve fleece sweater to sleep and it still wasn't enough. Usually I wear a t-shirt at a hotel because we could usually make the room as warm as we wanted. Not this time. The breakfast also wasn't so great. These are minor issues but also unexpected. The orange juice was in a large clear container full of ice, not a typical dispensing machine. Since it was so full of ice, the juice was very watery. There was also just one container of milk. No options such as low fat or almond. And at night when I usually get hot chocolate or tea, the hot water dispenser only had very warm barely hot water. Minor issues, but these I have come to expect everywhere I've gone. The bathroom also showed it's age. The ceiling above the shower showed a lot of dried brown droplets of condensed water. And another part of the ceiling showed clear evidence of an old leak. Besides the above mentioned. It was satisfactory.
