Château de Bruges

We had a wonderful night’s stay at chateau de Bruges, I wish we had longer to enjoy the warm hospitality of Jake, Danielle and Graham! They were so accommodating for our very late arrival and Graham had dinner prepared for us on arrival which was superb! Our room was immaculate and so well designed- we found out Danielle had done a lot of the upholstering and it brought the whole room together! We had a comfortable nights sleep even with a downpour outside, it was perfectly quiet inside! On waking we had a beautiful continental breakfast included with fresh local pastries and meats and cheeses which set us up for our long drive back to Bordeaux! Thank you to the team (and Merlin and curious!) for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area to pick chateau de Bruges!

Great place, beautiful setting. We could not ask for a nicer layover. If you travel between London and Barcelona- this is the perfect halfway stop. Friendly hosts - everything was perfect. It is near a lovely french village so not remote at all - loved our stay and will come again!

Was a pleasure to stay here. It is really inspiring to see how the family runs the whole castle. Me as perfectionist I like how much love they put in every detail. Beginning with the matching colours, the lightening in the rooms and the good quality of the coffee in the morning. Also the whole atmosphere was brilliant, for our dog Frido as well. He had a great time playing with the other dogs 🐶 Definitely will come back to here 🇫🇷 Five stars in every aspect, highly recommend to stay here at least once in lifetime.

Incredible place to stay if you want to experience something different than the usual boring hotel stay! Great service, very clean and a beautiful place!

We enjoyed a fantastic stay with Graham, Danielle and Jake, they couldn't have been more welcoming. Château de Bruges is a beautiful property in a stunning area of France, we stayed in Granite which is a tastefully decorated room with a lovely big en suite, including a good sized walk in shower. We enjoyed a dip in the pool and walking round the grounds, but the highlight was the hospitality, we had a really fun evening chatting and playing cards, Graham, Danielle and Jake were perfect hosts. Thank you.

Lovely b&b in beautiful castle renovated with taste by the new owners. Warm welcome. The accommodations were perfect for us as we were 7 with 2 very small children. We stayed only one night on a stop over from Paris to Aveyron but the place is highly suitable for a longer stay. We rented a beautiful room for one couple in the main castle as well as a separate apartment (« gîte ») across from the castle for the other 5 where they could prepare dinner and breakfast and lounge around when the kids were in bed. The grounds and surrounding countryside are very pleasant. The stay is very good value for money except for dinner in the castle which is not up to the high standards of this B&B. Overall we highly recommend staying at Chateau de Bruges which the owners keep improving with plans for even greater outdoors and a forthcoming swimming pool.

Jake, Danielle, Graham, dog Merlin and cat Curious are a great team. We stayed there twice during our recent month in France. A highlight was having dinner around the common table with other guests as well as our hosts. After our first stay we really looked forward to returning at the end of the trip for another night—and another dinner! Nice lake nearby for walking, too.

Great hosts made us feel very welcome. Their transformation of the chateau is work in progress. The bedrooms have been refurbished with a mix of modern and traditional luxury. There is a more traditional feel in the salon and dining room. There is an extensive garden with a peaceful ambience. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to seeing the progress they've made in a year or two.

Lovely Chateau in Lapeyrouse. Still undergoing renovations but clearly they are a talented team It doesn’t have a bar or restaurant but we were made to feel very welcome by the family and joined them for dinner Breakfast was also very nice. They also have the cutest of little dogs who was keen to make sure we were settling in well 😍 Please support their endeavours to restore this beautiful old building
