Hotel berhampiran Rum Tree di Larnaca

I booked a cheap hotel as I only needed it to sleep and shower in as I was out everyday. You pay for what you get. However the amount of stress caused on check in I was not prepared for. I understand reservations may not appear for many different reasons so I have more patience and understanding than most, however to be told on check in there’s a piece of scrap paper saying I’ve been moved to another hotel 40mins drive away, when I was told their was rooms available, with no proper documentation and I have to pay for the taxi and somehow claim it back from some person tomorrow, then met with a shoulder shrug when I said no just isn’t ok. I spent all evening trying to sort out the check in. Communication failed terribly in this occasion. I was left to sit and basically deal with my reservation myself for 4 1/2 hours talking to the company I booked with, not knowing If I was getting a room here or not and looking for other places to stay. To find out there was a problem with the payment, which if I was told from the beginning it could have been dealt with a lot quicker and reduced the stress of trying to be sent to another hotel, not knowing if they actually had my booking. A lot of reassurance points were missed. Which wasn’t a great start to my holiday. However on another note, This hotel has huge potential and I don’t think the owners realise. It just needs some some TLC, with its location being 5mins from the airport, the beach out side, ***** of restaurants 30 seconds away, volley ball, water sports on the beach out front and 2mins walk from the bus stop to larnaka centre (or 30/40min walk) and only a 5min walk to the salt lake. The actual hotel needs some love and work to it. With the partnership it has with last minute.com and potentially others, it could do really well and stand a very good chance in the market. Just some advice , Get the pool and upstairs bar fixed so it’s suitable for leisure guests when they come next summer. As it stands you wouldn’t be able to relax in the hotel during the day. The lobby area is lovely and spacious, the decorations and branding is simplistic which is nice. The outside of the hotel looks lovely with the huge flamingo. Do up the bedrooms, get the showers fixed, re paint, fix the door handles , make it look fresh like the photos advertised. When you get more guests coming , then focus on re designing the breakfast buffet, so there’s more of a selection. Then focus on customer service and making it feel warm. Let people aware you have made changes and ask the guests to leave reviews, better your chances of new business and more money. As people read reviews before staying. Look at the surrounding market and competition, what are your USP’s ?, where do you stand out?. It’s such a shame to see a hotel with potential go to waste. I hope the owners see this and start to put some love into the hotel.

Da ich bereits Mitglied bei Accor bin habe ich das Mercure Larnaca Beach Resort gebucht. Meine Erwartungen wurden weit übertroffen. Das Hotel wurde vor kurzem erst eröffnet und alles in komplett neu und sauber! Das Personal ist sehr bemüht, freundlich und kompetent. Durchaus zu erwähnen ist Denis an der Rezeption, super freundlich und professionell. In der Küche ist Valentina ein traum! Weiters möchte ich noch den Kellner mit den längeren dunklen Haaren erwähnen - freundlich, immer für ein Gespräch offen. Im gesamten ist das Personal top! Die Lage des Hotels ist etwa 20min von Larnaca Airport entfernt. Es liegt direkt am Strand mit einer schönen Poolanlage. Wir hatten Zimmer 404, sehr modern eingerichtet und von der größe ein normales Standardzimmer. Wir haben 3x im Hotel zu abend gegessen - es war ausgezeichnet und sehr köstlich. Rund um das Hotel gibt es einige Restaurants sowie Kaffees. Ein Supermarkt ist 2min vom Hotel entfernt. Ich kann das Hotel weiterempfehlen und ich werden im Sommer sicher nochmals kommen. 10 von 10 Punkten - so macht Urlaub spaß.

I had some problems with my flight and i reach the hotel very late. I was surprised that Livadhiotis hotel charged only one night instead of two. And to be honest, all my previous bookings were charged even before my stay but this is the first time the amount was withdrawed during my stay! I felt very appreciated as a human! Livadhiotis hotel is a very respectful hotel: the staff are very helpful and professional. The room and the WC are so clean, the bed is confortable and the air conditioner is smart! The breakfast is perfect! You can find hot drinks and many kinds of juices, croissants, different kinds of cheese, ham, bread, jam, vegetables and fruits. You can also have an english breakfast: eggs, bacon, hot dogs... The hotel location is excellent! Near to the beach and a few steps from Lazarus church! Briefly, it is the best place to stay!

I was very pleased with staying there. I can't say one bad word about about the hotel. Very nice staff, nice place, beautiful swimming pool, good prices at the bar for refreshment, cozy outside area for eating. If somebody like me, likes cats, that would be perfect hotel for them as there are locally cared street cats close by in a green area, which keeps rats and bugs away.

I stayed at Sveltos Hotel in Oroklini for a week in October together with a group of 8 who were visiting Cyprus for a cycling week. I was the only non-cyclist in the group. We arrived mid-evening, tired. Check-in was quick and easy and we were offered a welcome drink. My husband and I were given room 215. The room was modern, comfortable, spacious with ample storage space and plenty of room to set down our suitcases. There was a large wardrobe and some shelves. The room had air con, free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, large bottle of mineral water (which was replenished each day), telephone, room safe, large wall mounted TV, mini fridge, ironing board (with iron available on request, I think). Most of the sockets in the room take English style plugs without the need of an adaptor. The room had a small balcony with a table and two chairs. The temperatures in October was around 30 degrees each day but our balcony was often in the shade which was just perfect. Our room faced the main road so was a little noisy during the rush-hour. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room facing the pool at the back. The bathroom was spacious and modern with a walk in shower, lots of shelf space to set down your bathroom bag, etc. There was a hairdryer and a few complimentary toiletries. The hotel’s public areas were modern and inviting. There was an indoor bar, outdoor bar (offering well-priced cocktails with happy hour each evening). There was a good sized pool and a children’s pool. There were ample loungers for sunbathing and a lot of tables and chairs outdoors for eating and drinking. There is a pool menu which was very good and well-priced. The restaurant is on the ground floor where we had breakfast each morning. There was an ample choice of hot and cold buffet. Dinner was €18 per person for three courses. We found that food portions in Cyprus were usually quite large. The hotel has a gym which was quite small but well stocked with a good selection of equipment. The hotel offers 2 or 3 excursions most days. I took 3 excursions during my stay and they were good and well-priced. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and accommodating of our group.

The perfect hotel for the religious Jew. The amenities were basic, but the service was very good and the location is right next to the chabad and they have minyans every day. Also there is a very helpful tour office down the block where you can rent bikes and also get guided tours. All in all, I had a very good experience at this hotel.

After visiting another hotel of this group, I was extremely curious to come to The Ciao Stelio; however, I was disillusioned after seeing some reviews. Despite my doubts, I decided to go and was glad of my decision. From the first email, I got prompt and kind assistance regarding everything I was interested in (special thanks to Alexandros, Dimitris, and Stella for that), my additional requests have also been kindly noted (and satisfied at the end). Guys, thank you very much, you are amazing! Thanks to Anna, the check-in procedure was smooth and fast, and of course, I also annoyed her with tons of questions because I was so curious about everything around me. After coming to my spacious and lovely room, I forgot the fact that I’d ordered sparkling wine in the room and completely forgot about payment, was ready to come back to the reception but my thoughts were interrupted by the knock and when I opened the door I saw a smiling man who was welcoming me and telling that he was honored to deliver my complementary wine 😊 Nicos, you are top! A handsome man filling up the glass of champagne in my room – a better welcome is hard to imagine)))) Your service at Gambino Bar later for the dinner was so speedy and professional – thanks for making my evening, really. Adored Gambino bar for yummy-yummy food – quality is on the level (please make portions a bit bigger), will definitely come there again for a drink/snack. The only disappointing moment I had is due to the early working shift and the need to come back to Pafos I haven’t had a chance to appreciate the taste of breakfast but this issue can be easily sorted by the next visit. Thanks to all The Ciao Stelio Team for making my short stay so remarkable and relaxing!

Positive: Location, Room size, wifi speed, big balcony, free toiletries, fast elevator, microwave works, water boiler works, fridge works, free towels, toilet works, many restaurants nearby and a nice cleaning lady. Negative: Balcony door does not lock. Staff came to check it and said they can not do anything about it and told me there are no criminals and we dont need to worry at night if it is not locked and we can leave the valuables in the room even if the balcony door is open and the neighbours could easily just jump over the balcony. Nothing happened luckily and we were happy. There was bird poop in the balcony, but the cleaning lady was nice and cleaned it. There was no sea view and no sun chairs as in the photos. The staff said they cant do nothing about it. But the cleaning lady clean the bird poop and I just sun tanned then on the balcony without the sun chair and it was also nice. Sofa was a bit broken, dishes were very dirty and the toilet smelled very bad. The water in the shower was not hot, only warm.

Great sea-view room, nice private balcony, wonderful breakfast with lovely staff, and a beautifully kept swimming pool with an adequate supply of sunbeds. The only downside is the noise at night as the hotel is right on Athens Avenue and the Finikoudes beachfront. We suffered one night with a tuneless egotistical singer who went on at crazy volumes until 2am. Obviously not the hotel's fault, but be aware that noise can be an issue.
