Le Mas de la Lause

Beautiful countryside location. Room was spacious, bed comfy, and bathroom clean and functioning just fine. I love the setting of this B&B. Our hosts were welcoming and provided delicious breakfasts and a dinner. Be sure to take the 15 minute walk to the village. The surrounding countryside and villages are spectacular!

We enjoyed an exceptionally magical five-day stay at Le Mas de la Lause. Our hosts Christophe and Corinne impressed us so much with their B&B experience that it's truly difficult to know where to begin! Perhaps it should be with their idea to transform their family's century-old villa, orchard and vineyards into a modern, classy B&B with every conceivable comfort for a traveling retiree and his family? Perhaps with their impeccable hospitality, warmth, and worldly curiosity (it's hard to think of a more delightful series of conversations during our entire trip)? Perhaps with the serenity and quietude of the villa, surrounded with the sounds of the mountainside and the intoxicating scent of genêt d'Espagne blooming in their garden? Or perhaps — just perhaps — with the magnificent, homecooked table d'hote dinner that we enjoyed so very much on our first evening there (one of the very best meals of our entire trip, and a *must* if you stay at Le Mas)? Each moment was deeply satisfying and among the most relaxing of all our hours spent in France. We felt we couldn't thank our hosts enough for the sheer pleasure of our stay with them. Room and bed were immaculately clean and were refreshed daily. Breakfasts were spectacularly good: not only for the delectable pastries, bread and jams, but oh for the homemade quince pate and other treats! (We had tasted their homegrown olive oil, fresh herbs, chestnut cream, and aperitifs/digestifs as well at dinner on our first night.) Their location simply can't be beat if you are journeying by car or bicycle and are visiting northwest Provence to relax, tour, and taste without hurry. It is situated on a foothill overlooking the stone village of Le Barroux, with a majestic sunrise view of Mt. Ventoux and within earshot of the tolling bell of the Abbaye Saint-Madeleine. Vacqueyras, Gigondas, Malaucene, Seguret, and the Dentelles were all a short, easy drive away. Under an hour's drive were the major sites of Luberon, Ventoux, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. There are footpaths and bicycle routes all around. And special mention should be made of the village of Le Barroux itself: what an unexpectedly delightful discovery this was, walking the streets of this non-touristic, and therefore very real, local commune. We could not have asked for a more central "home base" for our sightseeing in the region. We left Le Mas on day five, feeling that we had finally experienced Provence as the locals might. And perhaps this was only a fleeting illusion. But thankfully, we can confirm that the happiness of our last breakfast with our hosts was very real. Stay here if you are visiting Le Barroux or the Mt. Ventoux area. Gracious hosts, clean/ updated accomodations and a spectacular setting. Plenty of interesting attractions close by. Soak up and enjoy the beauty of Ventoux. You will return.

De kamer (Les Orchidées?) die wij toebedeeld kregen was echt beneden alle peil. Laat u deze kamer niet aansmeren. De kamer is klein, met een piepklein raampje en een piepkleine badkamer. In de douche waren de randen en voegen beschimmeld. Uit het afvoerputje kwam een onhoudbare rioolgeur en op de badkamer is geen verluchting mogelijk. Met een betere kamer zou dit verblijf misschien wel een hogere waardering van me krijgen. De ligging van het complex is wel erg rustig en mooi.

Nous avons vécu une semaine très très belle au mas de la Lause grâce au climat très amical créé par Christophe et Corine qui étaient toujours présents et prêts à encourager les liens parmi les hôtes. En plus une cuisine fantastique , très créative et un très beau aménagement du jardin et de tous ses espaces créés pour que les hôtes soient à leur aise.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit Blick auf den Mont Ventoux. Die Gastgeber sind sehr, sehr nett. Die Gegend ist super zum Wandern (Mont Ventoux, Dentelles... ). Und auch für Besichtigungen (Sénanque, Orange... ) ist es ein prima Ausgangspunkt. Sind schon zum zweiten Mal da. Wir haben uns wieder sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Accueil familial, cadre superbe. Un séjour vraiment agréable. Chambres à la décoration simple et dans l'esprit de la région. Petits déjeuners formidables avec échanges avec nos hôtes qui sont toujours de bon conseil.

Depuis une quinzaine d’années nous avons le même plaisir de séjourner au Mas de la Lauze .Bien sur il y a l accueil toujours aussi chaleureux de Christophe et Corinne mais cette année nous avons choisi le gîte de la Garance.Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l aménagement et le confort et surtout le calme ,l espace intérieur et extérieur avec la grande terrasse couverte face au Ventoux .Dès que l on quitte le Mas on retrouve le charme du Barroux ou les vues magnifiques des dentelles sans oublier de rendre visite au vigneron poète de «la demoiselle Suzette » avant d’aller contempler le coucher de soleil du haut de la Roque Alric .Bref on y revient toujours.

Accueil et gentillesse exceptionnelle. Le cadre et la propreté des lieux est au top. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et la piscine idéale dans un cadre calme avec une vue magnifique sur le mont Ventoux. Un vrai coin de paradis dans un cadre magique
