Really nice cultural hotel in Shuhe. Lovely hosts too. Super kind and very patient with the translations. Lovely breakfast! The room is super clean and cozy. We loved our stay here. The hosts were super duper helpful too! We appreciate it very much. The Pu-erh tea they served was really yummy too

This guesthouse is perfectly situated in the heart of the ancient town. Tucked away in an alley off the main street, it's wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The rooms are incredibly spacious and impeccably clean. The guesthouse itself is absolutely beautiful, boasting several charming courtyards and expansive common areas. There are plenty of spots to sit and relax at any time, and it's incredibly photogenic – you can take stunning pictures effortlessly, with every corner being picture-perfect. A great convenience is that the staff provide pick-up and drop-off services at the main entrance of the ancient town.

We drove from Shangri-La and chose this hotel, initially just looking for a place to unwind. It turned out to be an unexpected delight. The hotel grounds feel like a beautiful garden, offering a wonderfully comfortable ambiance. With its own cafe, sipping coffee there while it rained was incredibly pleasant.

Facilities: The wooden cabins were lovely, complete with complimentary afternoon tea and a self-service fruit bar. The only minor drawback was the absence of air conditioning. Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Ambiance: A charming garden-style setting with numerous courtyards and lush, dense greenery. Service: Dedicated one-on-one butler service. All our questions and issues were promptly and efficiently handled.

The room was incredibly spacious and spotless. What's more, it's located right in Shuhe Ancient Town – Lijiang's most authentic and least commercialized ancient town, brimming with local life. A standout feature of this guesthouse is its private courtyard and tea room. Guests are welcome to relax in any area, which creates a truly comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The guesthouse is managed by a group of young men who are all incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They were also very prompt in responding to any questions in the WeChat group. The breakfast was excellent and very generous, offering a refined selection of both Chinese and Western dishes, including coffee, milk, rice noodles, and even okra. It's completely understandable why this place has over 3,000 overwhelmingly positive reviews! I highly recommend this guesthouse and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Lijiang.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The environment isvery quiet, peaceful and tasteful. Their service is so attentive and top notch, we are very impressed. They provided us with a free transfer to the Lijiang train station even though it was very early in the morning. The afternoon tea provided daily was amazing as well! Highly Recommended to stay here!

Facilities: The washing machine and dryer were incredibly convenient. Environment: The courtyard was a delightful setting, complete with traditional pavilions, lush greenery, and fragrant flowers. We even enjoyed watching little squirrels playfully trying to 'steal' peanuts! Its location directly within the scenic area made getting around incredibly easy. Service: The service was truly exceptional and thoughtful. Highlights included delicious Guoqiao Mixian for breakfast, a delightful afternoon tea, fresh fruit and pastries, and self-service beverages. They even provided traditional ethnic costumes for fun photo opportunities – everything was wonderfully catered!

Recommended by a friend, this guesthouse's courtyard is wonderfully comfortable and perfectly situated in the heart of Shuhe Ancient Town. The breakfast rice noodles were delicious every morning, and the sweet soup in the evening was a particular highlight for the kids – absolutely fantastic! **Facilities:** Very well-maintained, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. **Cleanliness:** Immaculately clean. **Ambiance:** Extremely pleasant. The rain provided natural white noise, making it perfect for anyone who struggles with sleep. **Service:** The staff were all incredibly nice and proactively helped us with our luggage.

I originally just booked this place randomly based on Dazhong Dianping, but it far exceeded my expectations. It boasts six courtyards, an on-site tea room and coffee bar, plus complimentary afternoon tea. You could easily spend an entire day just relaxing in the courtyards! The host even upgraded our room. This guesthouse has so much character; it's genuinely the most beautiful guesthouse/boutique hotel I've stayed in over the past two decades.

If you're visiting Lijiang, Shuhe is the place to stay. And within Shuhe, Youyi Residence comes highly recommended. We stayed for two nights with our kids, and the experience was truly excellent. The place is incredibly photogenic; every casual snap turns out stunning. Its six beautiful gardens are breathtaking and a sight to behold. The complimentary afternoon tea, laid out on a long table, was overflowing with all kinds of fresh fruits. The coffee was also excellent, perfectly complementing the wonderful atmosphere of the surroundings.

Room: The heating was incredibly effective. It was a bit chilly when we checked in at night, but the owner was very proactive, communicated well, and even provided an extra heater. The entire courtyard had a great vibe, very comfortable and beautiful. The staff were also excellent; they carried two large suitcases, one in each hand, all the way from the entrance to our room (on the second floor) in one go – super impressive! We checked in at night, and there was someone specifically arranged to pick us up at the ancient town's entrance. Otherwise, we would've had to drag our suitcases over the bumpy cobblestone roads. We were very satisfied with this service. They even provided a complimentary afternoon tea, haha. Overall, a very good experience! 👍

We booked a double room for our family to stay (5 people altogether) and we were all very happy with it! The accommodation is perfectly located in the old town but also tucked away enough to be quiet and peaceful. The dark wooden interior with the natural lighting pouring through created a lovely ambience. The staff were exceptionally helpful in answering any questions, booking tickets and during the check-in/out process. Highly recommend this accommodation! Thank you to all of you for a wonderful stay! (Tip to travellers: Make sure to have WeChat installed and signed in before travelling to China, most accommodations use this to communicate. If you're after a tour of Yulong Snow Mountain, you'll need to book 3 days in advance!).

Staff are very nice and helpful. Upkeep of the hotel can be improved. Restaurant right outside the hotel is good though!

It is located in the middle of Suhue ancient town. They picked up us from the South Gate and also dropped us off to there, even though we had a very early flight(had to out at 6am). The property itself is pretty big with 5ish buildings with lots of tea rooms which we loved. The cafe has great atmosphere and Chinese breakfast was also good. We do not speak Chinese but everyone at the property was super kind to us.
