We had a nice stay at the Arciduca. While the hotel itself is in a nondescript residential neighborhood, we appreciated that it was a very short walk to Marina Corta, a charming spot in Lipari with nice views of the harbor, several restaurants which are great for an aperitivo, lunch or a snack. We also found an inexpensive guide at Marina Corta with a boat to take us to various swimming spots around Lipari. Although a further distance, we found it easy to walk to the restaurants on Via Vittorio Emanuele. The Arciduca is not a luxury hotel by any means as it could definitely use some updating. However, the hotel has clean, simple rooms that are quiet for sleeping. The balcony in each room was handy to dry clothes. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the pastries each day (particularly the cornetti alla crema!). The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful in arranging excursions, etc.
