Hotel berhampiran PST KT8, Ljubljana

Loved this hotel! Breakfast was great choice and standard. Our room was a family delux style with inner doors to separate two beds. Bathroom was luxurious with bathtub. Nice touches to room such as an umbrella to use. So convenient to river and nearby attractions. The staff from reception to housekeeping were excellent. Very efficient and everything worked. Would definitely stay again.

The location is good and the room is clean. I would just like to highlight the friendliness of the same. The hotel manager is very polite, but some staff are not that friendly. Maybe it's their way of talking but as you are in the service industry you need to smile more and be more friendly.

Meksiko Hotel is a very reasonably priced hotel, within close proximity of the main train station (approximately 700 metres, or 15 minutes on foot). There is a hospital emergency department right adjacent to the hotel, but despite this, my sleeps were restful and I didn't hear the sounds of ambulances at night. There is a very large supermarket called Hofer right next door, on the same street, as well as a Lidl supermarket across from the main train station. I used both to stock up on provisions in preparation for day trips and train journeys. The hotel is within walking distance to the Old Town, and all of the main attractions. On foot, I was able to walk to the Old Town in about 15 minutes. Ljubljana is small, so you can see all of the main sights in one afternoon, including the castle! Highly recommend a day trip to Lake Bled, as for me it was the highlight of Slovenia. Easy 40 minute trip by train! I booked a single room, it was small, but it fine for a solo traveller with a small backpack! Amenities weren't in surplus, but the room came with what I needed - bar soap, a towel, a floor mat, a mini fridge, a tv with news and movie channels (handful in English), a comfortable bed, a hot shower with good water pressure, in shower dispenser with shower gel (but no shampoo, which I found odd!). Bottled water wasn't provided, but would have been appreciated - I filled up my water bottles at the breakfast dispenser in the mornings! The room also had working A/C and wifi, although the wifi was very weak and cut out frequently in my room. For these reasons, I’ve given a lower score on hotel facilities. The professionalism and courtesy of staff made up for some of the hotel deficiencies. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. For a budget hotel, the breakfast spread was excellent. On offer were scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, hot sausages, fresh cut vegetables, fresh whole fruits for take away, cold cut meats and cheeses, an assortment of cold cereals, yogurt, milk, an assortment of pastries and fresh bread with jams, butter etc. The hotel had an automatic coffee dispenser which made coffee according to your preferences - black, cappuccino, latte, hot milk, etc. There was an assortment of teas as well. They likewise had an automatic dispenser for juices and water (orange and apple I believe). Breakfast was always stocked in large part because of attentive staff constantly checking on the breakfast availability. The hotel has locked luggage storage in the basement where you can leave your backpack/suitcase for the day (up until 9pm, when reception closes). Overall, a great stay. Location was ideal, and the hotel offered good amenities for the price. My only complaint would be that housekeeping opened my door while I was in the room in the morning with the ”do not disturb” sign on. Minor annoyance, and the cleaner quickly realized her mistake and closed the door when she realized I was in the room. I don't believe it to be intentional, and chalk it up to

I stayed in one of the pod rooms that was extremely comfortable and cozy. The price for these style rooms was also extremely affordable. The hotel was in a perfect location in Ljubljana, wedged in between the town centre and bus and train stations. The hotel also had a beautiful terrace area with surround views of the mountains and city. My only inconvenience I experienced was that the WiFi was down for the first two days which wasn’t a big issue for me but was for the handful of people that were there to work also.

We started our trip from. Germany on our way to Croatia and stopped in Ljubljana. With heavy rain e arrived at the hotel and were surprised at the friendliness of the reception lady, tape of hotel *nice mix of hostel and hotel and the variety of people !! Very nice and a good start for our Europe trip!!

Per chi cerca tranquillità dalla frenesia cittadina seppur nell'immediata periferia. Le camere sono spaziose e pulite. Adiacente si trova un buon ristorante. Al mattino la colazione potete consumarla piacevolmente all'aperto, considerate che in Slovenia prediligono il salato per cui la colazione è povera di dolci. Nel complesso oltre che un pub troverete una gelateria con ottime torte da gustare ad ogni ora del giorno. Il personale è giovane e attento. E' stato un piacere conoscere Martina che parla benissimo l'italiano dal momento che ha vissuto alcuni anni a Firenze, ragazza molto carina e disponibile. Consigliatissimo.

We are tourists who generally don't want to stay in the busy tourist area so it worked out well to find this property. We spent six nights in the hotel and were quite pleased. We had two different rooms and two different room types (since our six nights were on two different reservations and the hotel was sold out of our first room type). We were on the top floor facing away from the street and both rooms were modern, comfortable, quiet (even when sold out) and clean. The staff at the front desk was very helpful, especially Marena (I may not have spelled that correctly) who was there afternoons and evenings on most of the days we were there. The property is quite a ways out of the central area. It's a 25 minute walk to the train station and closer to 35 minutes to the main tourist area (Triple Bridge). A convenient bus line runs down the hotel's street which we used a lot. There is a train station about a block from the hotel but the train only comes by once each hour and the ticket machine is only in Slovenian. The hotel is also in somewhat of a dining ”desert” in that there are no restaurants close by. The hotel recommended the Piazza restaurant (NOT ”pizza” though they have pizza on the menu) down the street. It's about a 15 min walk but it has a large menu and good food. We went there twice in our 6 nights. The central area is full of nice restaurants but again quite a ways away. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely consider coming back. You won't go wrong with the building but be aware that it's not close to things.

It is important for me to always have the option to turn off the air conditioner and open the window. Here, this was possible even though the room was on the lower floor. The breakfast was very tasty and varied. I also really appreciated that the hotel has both a sauna and a steam room. It was great that they were open until 10 PM, so we had time to warm up. Austria Trend Hotel is a hotel that is extremely well managed. The people at reception were especially helpful to me in using the computer to write an article. The room is extra large with a beautiful view of the country side and the window opens so one can get fresh air. The maid was especially through in cleaning the room. The restaurant offered a varietz of dishes and the waiter was very nice. The bus stops right in front of the hotel and with a card it is easy to get to the downtown area. They also have a spa and masssages available but I simply did not have the opportunity to use them. I definitely recommend staying at Austria Trend Hotel.
