Hotel berhampiran Canada Water, London

First time staying here - it's some sort of self check-in hotel but there was friendly staff onsite who were very happy to assist. The room is very minimalist - you'll have a bed and that's about it. So it feels a bit overpriced for what you get (considering you get water/coffee/tea in other places for the same price). I probably won't stay there again, only if location is very convenient.

To whom it may concern I wish to complain about my experience with the Canary Wharf point A hotel on the 24th of March. I was very disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism members of staff showed me and my friends during our short time at the hotel. Firstly, we got told to turn the music down which I totally understand and respected, after turning the music right down we get another knock on the door and once again it was security and a female member of staff claiming we were doing drugs and smoking (which really upset and offended me as I have recently lost a close friend to drug use). I offered them to come and search the room to prove we had no drugs and weren’t smoking but they were having none of it and told us we had to leave. To make it even worse they also made my other two friends leave who were in a totally separate room with no reason or evidence of this supposed drug use and smoking. I tried explaining that we have travelled from Sunderland and would be stranded with no where to stay but I was ignored and told to leave. Before we left the same female member of staff told us the manager has told them to make us leave she then gave us a card with a number to get hold of the manager which we rung immediately after leaving. If our experience with the hotel and service wasn’t bad enough, we then get told on the phone there’s no manager in the building which makes me believe the manager never told anyone to kick us out. In total we spent around 2 hours in the hotel and when I asked about getting a refund I got totally blanked and ignored. I have also emailed Canary Wharf point A hotel to express my disappointment with how we were treated but have not received a reply at this moment. What a lovely hotel and surprisingly quiet at night. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive on check in, showing us to our room (also as an early check-in) and chatting to us about the property. We had one of the top floor rooms, which was spacious and light. Facilities were very clean. Bed was comfortable and we slept really well. The room looked fresh and being able to open a window for fresh air is a big plus. Will definitely stay again when we do another trip

So happy when we arrived. Everywhere was clean and quiet. The staff are lovely and made sure that we knew everything we needed to know. The spa facilities are great. You can use the steam room, sauna, pool and the jacuzzi which I loved so much, also use rhe gym and pay for spa treatments which is reasonable priced. The shower in the room wow was lovely and hot wnd powerful. I spent so long in there i didnt wanna get out lol. This was a well deserved time for us both. We will defo be coming back in the future. Easy to find as well. There is also a parking g place round the corner which was not far at all a 1 min walk back to the hotel. Weatherspoons was next door also. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. The bell boy is very helpful and full of hospitality. The staff is very efficient in check in and check out. The variety of breakfast is wide and the taste of food is very good. However, we are disappointed of the housekeeping service, The housekeeper has forgotten to put the facial towels for two days out our three days of residence.

Good location near Russell Square station, walking distance to Tottenham Court Road, Euston (15min). Room is basic and comfortable. Doors slam very loudly and cause disturbance at night. There was a function one night that lasted till almost midnight and the noise/music reverberations travelled a couple of floors up.

Traveled down to London for the weekend to watch Moulin Rouge Really enjoyed the weekend, the hotel was amazing, very impressed, every member of staff was polite and very welcoming Only thing I can fault was a smell in our bathroom when we arrived back from the theatre (smelled like drains) seemed to go away when the shower was run.

The hotel is located near Earl's Court underground just 2 min walking distance. There are lots of restaurants and shopping area around. Easy access to the other parts of greater London. The rooms are cosy and comfortable although size little smaller than usual.The hotel environment is neat and clean. The hotel provides a good breakfast.

We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we
