Ulasan Hotel Cavendish

This was our first time in London, and we were looking for a hotel in the city center that wouldn't completely blow our budget, but also offered a decent place to sleep. Hotel Cavendish appealed to us the most because it also offered breakfast. We especially want to praise the breakfast buffet; there were always boiled eggs, ham, salami, cheese, butter, sweet spreads, plenty of cereals, various types of bread, sweet pastries, good filter coffee, vegan dairy products, and fresh fruit. It filled us up well, giving us energy to explore the city. Finding our room was a bit confusing because the building itself is very old and has been converted from a residential house, with lots of doors and corridors 😅, but after a few tries, we got our bearings. There's no elevator, and if you're 'lucky' like us, you have to walk up to the third floor, which is really tiring because the staircase and steps are very narrow. The room itself was small but sufficient for sleeping, and it was also very warm, but luckily there was a fan. We only discovered the USB charging port on the table lamp the next day 😆. We hadn't brought an adapter, so that was a lifesaver. One criticism is about the extra bed; it was probably a sofa bed, but it was very old with completely worn-out springs and a very soft mattress. Our daughter unfortunately struggled with it 😩, so please replace it. Our own beds were fine. Otherwise, we lacked nothing, and if you don't have too many demands, you can definitely book this hotel.

The location is fantastic for travelling around London, unfortunately the room does not match the location. We were in the what appears to be a large cupboard! Apart from the small wardrobe there was no where to hang anything I.e no coat hooks. No space in the shower cubicle to put toiletries etc, about the size of a caravan toilet! the shower was a dribble and if you close the shower door which is bi folding there is no handle on the inside to open! I am small and had to call my husband in to open it and let me out. The room was insufferably hot, and we were above the kitchen area with a blocked drain under our window. The fan did not work and we had to ask for a working one, which was provided with a smile, however this should be checked prior to guests arriving in heat like this surely? The safe was broken so we had to carry valuables around with us, again it was replaced while we were out and the chap was helpful for arranging it however by the time we got back and checking out the next day it was no use to us by then. We had to use the mantle piece in the room as a storage area, there is no fridge in the room, not even a little mini fridge to keep water cool? Surely you can rise to that simple amenity or perhaps not, as the room is so small there is nowhere to put it! One chair in the room so having to sit, lie on the bed? Just not a comfortable room at all. Bed and pillows as hard as a rock. Toilet cubicle didn’t close firmly, carpets dirty and can quite clearly see a stain where the toilet has leaked! Loved my visit to London, the staff I engaged with were pleasant (though I’d rather the basics were right and I didn’t need to ask for stuff to be right) Breakfast was ok. Liked the shower gel and handwash, smells lovely.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated in Zone 1. The Underground connections are also very efficient, getting you quickly to many well-known districts and attractions. The food is buffet style, and the staff do their best. This was my second stay.

I was pleasantly surprised. The staff's service was excellent and very friendly. The room for three was more spacious than other accommodations, with good quality sheets and towels, and comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was recently renovated, very large and functional. Good breakfast with enough to start the day. We were on the ground floor, however, to get to the room we had to go through a basement and then climb back up, all via narrow stairs. In summary, it was a very good stay.

Excellent location! Situated on the UCL campus, it's very quiet. Extremely close to St. Pancras Station and Covent Garden, and only a 10-minute walk to the British Museum, with plenty of convenience stores nearby. The staff are polite and attentive. Will definitely book again next time I'm in London!

It offers an excellent location near British Museum, with many major attractions, shops, and restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, although slightly compact. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast offered a good selection, and the hotel felt quiet despite its central location. Overall, it is a convenient and reliable choice for both sightseeing and business trips in London.

The room was quite small, the temperature was uncomfortable even have fan , and the facilities felt old and outdated.

The staff is so nice and the brakfast is good But only public area have air conditioners

The room was clean and tidy, much better than expected! It was also very quiet at night, which made for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was quite tasty too, I had two bowls of milk! 😋😋

the location of the hotel is excellent , very Central and best for travelers who love to visit museums in London The breakfast is very good as they offer many different types of bread and beverages. Only thing that you need to bear in mind is , you need to turn on your fan , as summer can be very hot in London. You shouldn't miss soccer match in London.

Good location next to the British Museum. Since there are no air conditioning, summer time may be tough.

Service and reception were good! But got some things not working fine at our room, like not having hot water most of the days (because they use an electric heater).

Good location for tour and transfer to Kings cross train station
