Only two things the bed its uncomfortable and turn off the christmas lights at night, the christmas light was on all night long Good location, good attention and clean

Great place for the price. The bed is a bit on the small side but it does the job. There are shared bathrooms/toilets.

Good and comfortable and reasonable I want stay again soon.

Pros: - Common areas are regularly cleaned. - Kitchen is well equipped. - Showers worked well. - Smoking area from 10 am till 10pm. - Room was properly clean. - Good location close to center Cons: - Couldn't find a lock for the windows, didn't feel totally safe leaving things in my room. - Frequent street markets on the same street. Woke up with noise at 7am on a Sunday.

We needed a place near the Liverpool station that was convenient to get to from both Gatwick and Stansted airports, and this was it. It was also easy to get to other tourist attractions such as the Tower of London and The Jack of Ripper Tour. We booked a double room with a private bath - there was a snafu with our booking (didn't show up in the system), but the office got on the phone with his booking agent and corrected it. I would always double-check my booking if it were booked via Agoda going forward. The room was very basic - I am unsure how this is a 4-star per Google. There was no shampoo or body wash—only one tower per person (not even a floor mat). Our room was pricey considering the lack of amenities. But it is London, after all. The room was quiet, but the bed wasn’t all that comfortable.

Location is excellent: Tower Hamlets (Whitechapel) is a busy district of London with plenty of small cafés, restaurants, and shops in the vicinity (less than 5 minutes to the next Tesco Express e.g.). Aldgate East tube station (District, Hammersmith & City lines) is just 5 minutes from the accommodation. For people interested in the arts, you'll find Whitechapel Gallery also very close by. Another good place for street food is the "Old Spitalfields Market", which is just a short walk away, too. Communication with the hotel via *********** was excellent, the check-in easy and free of problems. The entry to the hotel is just a single BROWN door between two shops. Easy to miss when walking by, but Google Maps will get you to the right place. I was greeted at the reception at noon and could check in an hour early. The person who checked me in guided me to the room and told me the location of the various shared bathrooms (two on either side). You'll get a sensor key for the main door and a code for the room. The room itself was as I expected: The hotel photos must have been taken a while back, though. The room was large enough, the furnishings very basic (steel wardrobe and desk), but the room was clean. The floors are a bit on the tawdry side, but that was no surprise to me - and far from the worst I've seen during my many trips to London. Solid basic budget accommodation if all you need is a hub for your London adventures. Free wifi is included, and the bathrooms were all clean and modern. Shower pressure was better than I had expected. There is NO room service included, but I didn't need one for the four nights I had booked. I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays, but if you keep your expectations in check you won't be disappointed. For breakfast I'd recommend the small Dauns Scandinavian Café on the same street.

Great little spot close to the vibrant East End. Beds were very comfy, shared bathrooms clean. Ease of access in / out was managed very well with no hassles and everything explained upon arrival, nothing was a problem. Rcommended.

We had a wonderful experience at monopoly London! We stayed in the simple suite and it was everything we needed - comfy bed, desk, private bathrooms, usb outlets & normal outlets and a window that opened to a public terrace. Thanks all for a lovely stay! Also the neighborhood was amazing. Close to really cool markets, easy to hop on the tube and catch busses, and lovely neighbors all around. Great food all around too!

Looked very central when I booked it (it is very central), but the neighbourhood a little too dodgy. Too many beggars, junkies. One man approached my 13 yearold son for unknown reason, backed off when he saw i was with him. Didnt feel safe. The accommodations: nice landlady. But rooms with no ventilation system other than to open the window facing a busy street (day and night). Shower handle broken in 1 of 2 bathrooms, which I reported. Wasn't fixed the next morning.

This place is absolutely freezing. The windows are very poor so very drafty and the external radiator emitted no heat. Because of that I struggled to sleep. It’s incredibly noisy, room walls are very so can hear snoring, conversation, TVs of your neighbours. The bathrooms were very cold but quite clean. I only paid £68.50 per night for a Mon-Tues and hugely regretted not paying a tiny bit more for a Travelodge that would have been warm, comfortable and a private bathroom. The lady who checked me in was very nice though.

I was travelling for work. It was ok. Room clean. A bit noisy from the street, bathroom outside the room which would not be a problem but could not get water temp to stabilise. Was changing all the time from super hot to ice cold. Kitchen ok but could be a little cleaner

I booked this hotel through ********** last minute as me and a group of friends missed our last train home and got stuck in London. We turned up at the accommodation and there was no reception and the owner was not answering their phone. Due to this we had to pay £250 to get a taxi back to our home town. I contacted the owner the next day asking for our money back as we were unable to stay. My message was ignored, I've sent several messages since and was only replied to asking for my bank details when I said I would write a review detailing the situation if I did not receive my refund. I still have not received my refund and my messages are again being ignored. Please book this hotel with caution as you are at risk of having your money taken and not actually being able to use the accommodation.
