Number 1. Spooky, the pictures are misleading. The room given to us was so small I could only fit my luggage or myself Im the room.
The furniture is damaged and in need of repair. The mirror against the wall is freaking me out as it has been placed in strange position.
The elevator is barely working it reminds me of the girl who went and stayed at the Cecil Hotel LA.
WHO DIED!!!
I spoke to the receptionist initially to upgrade my room and she would only allow me to if I paid an additional £50. This wasn't very helpful, I paid £250 for two nights, no! It's too much. She said I had to talk to trip.com, which I then did but they also couldn't help.
After sole back and fourth the receptionist eventually upgraded the room after I came back to the front desk.
To clarify. She said there was no available room. I checked online and there was. I showed her this which she then said, "ok, I'll check again" it was at this point she asked for the £50 upgrade. I was polite and spoke to her I'm second language as best I could to explain and communicate me distress.
After negotiations, they managed to arrange me a bigger room, but I can hear train passing every 5 - 15 minutes in the room. The next day I found the house keeping put the towels on the toilet board ! This is the worst thing I have ever seen in hotel service !
I would highly, not recommend this HELtel. The location is great and if you don't mind living in a ******* house for a few nights then be their guest.
