Hotel berhampiran Dad / Hollywood Fountain South, Los Angeles

This location is around the corner from the walk of fame, which I loved. Easy check in. Simple room with free WiFi. The only down side is the neighbors around the hotel are SUPER loud. Overall I would be happy to stay here again.

The hotel it’s in a great place, and the view from my room was the Hollywood sign, which is super cool. The hotel is in the central location for tourism purposes, didn’t have to waste too much time in traffic. Rooms are a little bit small but very clean and comfortable. The stuff that checked us in was super nice and answered every silly question that we had, and even upgraded us to a higher floor. We decided to have breakfast there, since they gave us the $10 off coupon, but the breakfast was over priced and my friend had to send her eggs back two times until she finally just gave up. The valet parking was very reasonable and did not take a long time every time we needed our car. Overall an excellent stay.

Wonderful clean, good location, reasonable priced hotel in the heart of LA. Staff was very kind, rooms clean and pleasantly apportioned. Short walks to food, stores and more. Would stay again if needing to be at a future event in this area of LA!

Front desk warned us that 7th floor might be loud at night because of music playing from rooftop bar outside (which it was) but I selected it for the view, so can't do much complaining about that. Overall it was good hotel

Stayed here to go to a show at the Greek Theatre. Room smelled and looked clean enough, but there were stains on the bedding, and we only had a sheet and not a blanket. By the time I realized it I was laying down to sleep and was too tired to call the front desk and ask for one. Free parking was a bonus. The fridge was nice and cold, but there aren't ice machines at the hotel. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. There is road noise ALL NIGHT LONG. AJ, who was working the front desk, was very nice and helpful. Overall, for the price and the reason we were there, it worked!

Room 421, stayed 4 nights. Sept-Oct 2022. On arrival, we parked the car within the premises so we could check in then had to move the vehicle to a secure road behind the hotel which looked deserted/ shabby. On first appearance we thought the room was ok but we had been driving for 5 hours and only dropped the luggage into the room and went out to site see. On returning for our first nights sleep, we noticed 2 dried blood patches on the bed sheets. We checked out the rest of the room and noticed there was also hair in the bath plug, bathroom floor and bathroom bin. The fridge smelt like a mouldy cucumber and was dirty. There was a broken lamp in a cupboard. The TV sound kept playing up. We had only half a toilet roll only and no extras like you normally have in hotels. We highlighted the blood/ hair issue to an employee who was disgusted and immediately rectified the issue but also went on to call the cleaner stupid which I felt was inappropriate. We would’ve been happy with an apology and that they would investigate internally. We also had to ask for WiFi codes as these were not given at check in (which wasn’t an issue) and are unique to each user. We were provided 2 x 48hr codes. When these ran out, we asked for another 2 codes and the guy at reception was so defensive exclaiming he had already given us 5 days worth of codes (which he hadn’t) but reluctantly gave us new ones. There was a smoking room next to ours and smoking area outside the room also which seeped a strong smell of smoke into our bathroom/ bedroom often. One evening it was pretty cold and we tried to turn the heater on but this smelt like fire so we had to turn this off promptly. No one asked on check out if we were happy with our stay, they didn’t seem to care at all. It was an older gentlemen who took in our room keys and dealt with the WiFi situation. Pros - Location (1 block from Hollywood Boulevard) - Affordability Cons - Rude staff - Dirty property - Smelly - Insufficient parking spaces - Lack of working equipment - No plugs for sink or bath tub This hotel has so much potential. It needs a bit of TLC and some modernising to make this a really wonderful place to stay. Dependant on your tolerance levels, it is bearable as long as you don’t intend to stay in the room all day.

This is one of the best hotels I stayed in LA, I really enjoyed staying in the k-town area, great selection of restaurants, well-stocked supermarkets, close to the metro station and the hotel staff were extremely helpful, I will def come back to this hotel and for sure will recommend this hotel to everyone :)

Our TV in our room stop working. We called for the night attendant Elsa to trouble shoot TV. She right out refused and had an attitude because we interrupted her personal phone call. She lied and said that she spoke to the manager which later we found out that she never did. I want the manager to call me regarding this person behavior. Our stay was for a week and it was multiple occasions that she was only engaged in her personal phone calls and refused to meet our needs. Rodeway will not be successful if you have an employees who just want to talk on their personal cell the entire night and not help hotel guest. The day shift attendant was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. I hope you guys give her a raise or promotion for her generosity and the pride that she gives in representing your company. Thanks. You pay what you get, so don’t expect much. They’re a budget hotel so they make extra services such as early check in, late check out for $25 each. The room has a strange layout, with the sink in the bedroom, right beside the beds, the heater took a long long time to warm up the room and was noisy, but the staff was so friendly to us that she gave us extra blankets! The bathroom had bugs so be careful. All in all, if you’re only looking for a place to sleep at night to spend money on other things while traveling, you can stay here.

Except all the rest, the room was very homy and comfortable. Great value for the money. Clean restroom and enough space.
