Great location. Ample on site car parking. A heated outdoor pool. OK in need of some maintenance but just so welcome. Open early to late. Very helpful staff. Bedrooms are comfortable with all the usual features. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Only two downsides. Firstly the lack of a residents lounge - yes you can use the bar area but that is less than cosy. Secondly although the hotel offers dinner on Weekdays the limited menu is set for the month and frankly the choice is poor. With a bit of thought the hotel could become a destination for meals for locals and guests. The pubs offering good food well cooked were rammed so at this time of the year there is plenty of demand. Special shout out for the reception staff. Friendly and helpful with great knowledge of what the area offered the visitor.

We planned to stay in Polperro for the evening but failed to book ahead of time and upon arrival, all accommodation was booked out so we made some phone calls and was recommend the King's Arms by another establishment. We were grateful to be able to secure a last minute booking and to be greeted by such lovely people after what was a very long day!! Danni, the hotelier made check in easy, offering us breakfast for the next morning. Leanne, the cleaner there was also overly helpful, even though not on duty, was lovely enough to escort me to my car, helping me with my groceries and luggage back to the accommodation. Both Danni and Leanne were welcomed new friends who were very knowledgeable about the area, helpful with tips for our planned trip to The Eden Project the next day and an absolute pleasure to meet!
