Great location, near train station, Old Town and Lake Lucerne. Our room was spacious and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. Front desk was pleasant and helpful. You should book a quiet room since the rooms facing the street can be noisy. My only criticisms were that they did not have a fan available for the room on our first night, which is very strange considering the hotel does not have air conditioning. Also, the the bathtub walls were high making it difficult to use. The bottom of the tub was slippery. It needed either rubber *****s or a mat.

Tout était correcte dans l'ensemble mais par rapport à d'autres endroits du même genre, ce faire dire arriver max. 21 hre et départ max. 10 hre le matin me semble très restreint quand on est en voyage... Très bel endroit et très beau stationnement qui malheureusement nous est chargé 15$.

Location is great. Near to tram station and city centre. Room is small with little space for luggage. No wardrobes. Bathroom with glass door means no privacy for the person taking a shower. Toilet is separate from the shower stall which is too small to even hang one's clothes or towel. At least, they did install a curtain across the room to give a little privacy to the bathroom.

The hotel is very cosy and I felt there really good. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. When I arrived they showed me everything in the hotel and explain me the important thing. I totally recommend for solo travelers. The room and shared bathroom was kept tidy and cleaned. The breakfast was really delicious. The hotel location is also perfect. From the hotel you can walk around and you are everywhere close to the nature. For me it was very pleasant stay. Thank you for everything. And I hope I will come back again :)

Stunning location in a quiet residential area on the shore of Lake Lucerne. (It's a 15 min bus journey ((No.21)) from Lucerne Bahnhof Bus station) Twin room (cleaned daily) was lovely with very comfortable beds, lovely shower plus coffee/tea machine, safe and 2x bottles of water daily. Staff polite and helpful as you'd expect.👍 We didn't try the 'Fondue hut' experience, as much as it looked stunning it was way too pricey, a little like the Breakfast option (32 CHF pppd) but the heated seat pads and seat throws were the ideal accompaniment to our mulled wines on the patio on the chilly Christmas eve evening.🔥😍 ONLY issue for us was at checkout when somehow our prepaid room was deemed unpaid which was stressful at 06:00, it took time to sort & with our bus to catch (exactly on time at the stop outside every day) to make our train connections, which we just made at 06:18, it wasn't the best start to our journey home, nor the last impression from our stay.

Amazing hotel in the middle of beautiful montains in Switzerland, probably the best hotel I stayed in my life. The infinite pool is amazing and bigger than it appears on the pictures. Everything is clean and perfect in the room and along the hotel, with incredible views. I stayed with my 8-year-old daughter and everything is was OK. The staff is great. The only point to be improved is the breakfast. The service (on the table, no buffet) is slow, the food is not at the same quality of the hotel and the staff (2 ladies) are not enough to serve all people on their tables.

Very clean hotel, fantastic service at the counter. Easy access via bus (just 3 stops from Stans), and bus stop is right outside the hotel. There is a fuel station just outside the hotel so it was convenient to get breakfast and other snacks. Toilet lights are motion sensor which is good for energy saving, but it auto turns off while we are in the shower as the timer might be too short. No fridge in hotel room though, but be slightly inconvenient for families with young children that need to store milk.

This was a last minute booking for us and the price and location were really good before a day trip into Lucerne. Liked the location immediately, even in drizzling rain.We had a big balcony room overlooking the garden and lake.Very nice to arrive at after coming from Lake Maggiore and a long drive. The decor is fairly modern and it doesn't have charm as such but it was a quiet room with enough space. Buffet breakfast next morning was a bit of a highlight, especially since it was free and included! We never did get used to Swiss food prices during our trip. Easy to find and an easy drive into Lucerne next day.

PPatrickAs as Swiss, I never travelled much inside Switzerland. I am usually travel around in Asia, like Japan, Thailand, Taiwan. So I was seriously shocked how low quality the Swiss Hotels are. Besides this I was also in Interlaken, and have to say the hotels are mere Motel standard at a price tag from 300-500$ for 15m² not even clean. And it's not only this Hotel, many others around I had Lunch or Dinner are in such bad condition But to the ”Art Deco” Montana... The best part is at the beginning. Reaching the entrance by a Cogwheel Car, is great, the lobby is nice as well and the terrace with lake view is beautiful. But then, comes the issue, the price changed, the day of the check in was 180$ cheaper for the same room than when I booked it. We didn't get any compensation which i didn't expect i Switzerland anyways, still a bit disappointed. But ok... off to the hotel room. The pictures prepared me to not have too much expectations but, the reality is just so heartbreaking worse. I stayed in cheap hotels for 80$ in China or Thailand with same standard. The Dyson Hairdryer didn't save the impression. We were the first 30 minutes really depressed, sitting on the bed full of regrets going to lucerne. It's all so cheap made for that price. Well, we recovered and left the hotel for travel. But bottom line, the cheapest hotels in Switzerland are barely worse than the range from 400-600$ like the Montana. If wanna luxury, better opt for those instagram famous Hotels for 1200$ + Anything else is all the same low standard. Side Note: In Switzerland 3-4 Stars Hotel Minibar is not free.

We stayed at Hotel Krone Luzern for four nights. The location is great, right in the old town and close to restaurants, bars, cafes, and a 10-15 minute walk from the main train station. Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly, even giving us tips for watching the New Year’s Day fireworks at the lake. We ate breakfast at the hotel three times. The food selection was limited but okay. Our room was big and clean, but there was no heater or air conditioning. Despite staying during the winter, we still had to open the windows to cool down the room as it got a bit too warm at night, which meant noise from the street and early morning garbage trucks disturbed our sleep. Also, the body wash/shampoo in the bathroom wasn’t refilled, leaving us short by the end of our stay. The WiFi was really bad unless we stood near the door, which was quite inconvenient. Overall, the hotel's location is a big plus, but the issues we faced, especially with noise and WiFi, were downsides.

LLa_MimiThe hotel is very nice and the rooms are well equipped. Everything is there, also slippers and L'occitane products. The view of the city - if you have a good room - is wonderful. Ah, and the room is very clean ! On the negative side, the bed was uneven, maybe because it was used too much, so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable. Then, the rooms are not so spacious. For one or two nights, I fully recommend coming here. I will rather go to a more modern hotel next time because of the uneven mattress.

WWander50017749501The hotel deserves a perfect score! And the staff from Reception to Bolero restaurant a 6 our of 5! The friendly and informative greeting we received at check-in was superb. The bus tickets for Kriens/Pilatus is included for all guests and close by. The receptionist went even as far as walking us to the parking we had reserved (22CHF/day--worth it). We had room number 611 with a bay window on the top floor and it was very comfortable. They thought of everything from coffee machine to all small details a traveler might need. The location is very central!

Ttravel nezHotel staffs were very friendly. The hotel is super near the train station if you figured out the exit at the back of the train station. Hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable. It set the bar pretty high for the remaining of our trips.

PPengguna TetamuAnkunft am Ruhetag. Schlüssel lagen bei der Rezeption. Die Zimmer zu finden war nicht so ganz einfach. Badezimmer gegenüber der Schlafzimmer. Sehr ungewöhnlich. Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig, man hört jeden Schritt und auch wenn sich die Gäste in den Nebenzimmern unterhalten. Am nächsten Morgen wurden wir von Baustellenlärm geweckt. Auch eine freundliche Begrüßung, als wir zum Frühstück gingen, hat gefehlt! Es wurde lediglich gefragt, ob wir Hotelgäste sind??? Beim Frühstück auf der Terrasse konnten wir uns auch wegen des Baulärms nicht unterhalten! Die Hotelinhaber bekamen wir ebenfalls nicht zu sehen. Alles in allem: Bei dem Preis (180 SFR/Nacht/2 Personen) kann man mehr erwarten. Das Haus ist schlecht isoliert, hat keine Klimaanlage und es fehlte vor allem an Freundlichkeit.

PPengguna TetamuI was really excited to start travelling after 2 years hiatus. I chose Switzerland as I had already made plans for the a 3 weeks trip in May 2020. I had to cancel it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I picked Alpina Hotel in Luzerne due to its great loation and affordability. It is near many eateries and other attractions. I booked 2 rooms; 338 and 339. We get to enjoy the street view and marvelled at the beautiful building opposite our rooms. I noticed that the opposite building was built in 1537 [ need to confirm this ]. The street was generally quiet except in the mornings when rubbish trucks cleared did their cleaning. The room has simple layout and mine has 2 sinks in the living area. The bed and pillows area are comfortable. The bathroom is small but all items worked well. I did not see any staff at Alpina as most of them were based at the nearby sister hotel, The Monopol, which is located about 20m away. Checking in was fast and easy and it was done at Monopol. I was grateful for all the guidance and assistance provided by the receptionist. Alpina hotel is located about 110m away from Luzerne Train Station and it was relatively easy to find. My room ; 339 is bigger than 338. All in all, I had a really great experience staying in this hotel.

DDarcy. WHotel location is fantastic. Less than 1 minute walk from the information center located from the train station. Hotel room is fine but the edges of the bed frame protrude out hence one needs to be more cautious. We arrive at 7pm on a Sunday evening and check in was quick. Will appreciate if WiFi password and Lucerne Visitor card are given upon check in instead of having to request for it. At 11pm, when i tried to input the WiFi username and password, it shows Credit used up. I called the reception for assistance and was told to come down to the reception. After going down, I was given another print out of the WiFi username and password. I do not understand why this cannot be communicated over the phone. Went back to the room, tried the new username and password and it still doesn't work. Only managed to login to the WiFi the following morning when I went to the reception and get another user ID and password. Not sure if this is common in Switzerland but this sure is my first encounter.

AAdventurous Horse RiderThe location is a bit far from the bus station and it’s a bit secret. There are no photos of the Internet found on the Internet because it’s just an apartment but not a formal hotel. There is no front desk and we had to call for the host for a check in. I’d rather recommend you to stay at a hotel instead.
