The common areas are super nice, as it was also my room. I was a bit surprised that there was no door for the bathroom but in the end I was alone so ok. The hotel is located in a pedestrian area where there are many bars and restaurants, and they provide earplugs for the night in case of noise...I slept with earplugs and didn't have any issue. In the room I found also a bottle of water and soap, shampoo, etc that was nice. Some comments about the room: - housekeeping was done only if requested; - I think that maybe an additional shelf in the bathroom would be helpful as also maybe in the room itself, the cabinet was a bit small. I didn't try the breakfast. Receptionist are available between 9 and 18. Outside these hours there were the doormen but they didn't speak english. One of the receptionist, Yulia (I hope I remember correctly the name, anyways she is a blonde young lady) is great, she gave me a lot of suggestions about places to visit, restaurants, tour, etc. I really appreciated it! I asked for an early check in and they accepted my request, as they could keep my luggage the last day while I was visiting the city. They can also help to arrange transfer and tours. Price I think it is the average touristic one. If I would recommend this hotel? YES!

The beautiful old George Hotel. Perfect location in the very heart of the city. Why would you take the lift when you can walk up that marvellous staircase. You can only wonder what it was like in its full grandeur but here in wartime it is an oasis of peace. The room a dated but grand. Ok, it takes a while for the hot water to arrive in the shower, but for a building like this it's ok. Did I mention that the breakfast is fantastic with so much choice and so much local variety

4 gece bu otelde konakladık. Eski bir yapı olmasına rağmen herhangi bir sorun yaşamadık. Otel konumu çok merkezi. En uzak yer bile 20-25 dk tuttuğu için her yere yürüyerek gittik. Sadece havaalanı için uber/bolt kullandık. Görevliler güleryüzlü. Özellikle resepsiyon görevlisi çok yardımseverdi. İngilizcesi gayet akıcı, anlaşamadığımız bir durum olmadı. Her katta su sebili var ve tadını çok beğendik. Ekstra su hiç almadık, bu çok iyi. Odalar biraz küçük. Odada boy aynası yok. Tek sorun bence bu. Resepsiyon katında olduğumuz için odadan çıkarken ben oradaki aynayı kullandım. Her gün odamız, olması gerektiği gibi, temizlendi. Son gün uçağımız 19’daydı. Check-out sonrası eşyalarımızı resepsiyona bırakabilir miyiz diye sorduk ki luggage room varmış. Bir daha gitsek yine burada kalırız, çok sevdik (: not: otelin ana cadde kısmındaki sokakta roshen var. Likörlü çikolatalar için uğramayı unutmayın! + yağmurlu günlerde kullanabileceğiniz şemsiyeleri resepsiyon katında bulabilirsiniz. Çok ince düşünce!

Great location in the center of Lviv but in a fairly quiet place. Quite a large room, clean, the windows face the historic street. Good, friendly service. Breakfast is minimalist but good. No luxury, just a goog place to stay for a couple of days. Of the disadvantages - the door to the French balcony did not close normally, so there was cold air from the street. But the presence of air conditioning eliminates this problem.

We stayed at the Swiss hotel for two nights during the rocket shelling in Lviv when the whole city had limited access to electricity, hot water and Wi-Fi. This hotel had it all. Although the bomb shelter across the road was locked, the doorman showed us the wine cellar inside the where we could hide during civil defense siren (thankfully we did not have to use it). The layout is a bit complicated to the rooms and restaurant, where decent breakfasts are served.
