The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel's location is also great, making it convenient to get around. The hotel itself is pretty standard but meets basic needs. The best part is that it's clean and tidy, with no strange odors.

The service was alright, and the hygiene seemed clean at first glance, but didn't hold up under closer inspection. The towels had noticeable stains, and what was even more annoying was waking up with bites all over my legs...

Located at Peninsula Macau. Very near Ruins of St Paul, Senado square, St. Dominic and many eateries around. Very convenient if you want to take bus. Room is spacious and clean. Value of money.

Given how expensive Macau is, if you're not staying in a luxurious five-star hotel, you'll likely end up in an older, more basic hotel in the bustling city center like this one. The room was quite small, perhaps comparable to a 50 RMB hotel on the mainland. There was a strong odor in the room, though the cleanliness was relatively okay. If I visit again, I probably wouldn't consider staying here.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right on a street with plenty of great food and drinks. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room itself was clean, bright, and very comfortable. They offer complimentary tea in the lobby, luggage storage, help with calling taxis, and even took a group photo for us. Excellent service all around!

This is my second stay at the Macau Grand Three-Eight Hotel, and the service is consistently excellent, as always. The lobby has a lovely fragrance, and it's super convenient as it's right in the city center, so you can pretty much walk everywhere.

we stayed 4 nights here from 9th Mar to 13 Mar 2026. Wish to express a big thank you to the staff Andy, Fei Fei , and 吴小姐. All of them handle our request professionally and we really have a good time staying here. Location is perfect , walking distance to everywhere for sightseeing, food hunting , souvenier. Hotel price is reasonable , and the room size consider ok in old town. Room is clean, hair dryer is good , and have free drinks everyday in the lobby.

Location: The location is fantastic! It's right across from Rua de Cinco de Outubro, very close to St. Paul's Ruins, and there are many bus stops nearby, making it super convenient to get to Taipa or the border crossing. Plus, there are tons of great food options around the hotel~ Cleanliness: Pretty clean. Facilities: The hotel generously upgraded us to a room with a bathtub, and the hot water was abundant. Macau's old town has a lot of hilly streets, and you end up doing a lot of walking – easily 30,000 steps in a day. Being able to take a bath at night was truly wonderful! The hotel even provided disposable bath liners, which was perfect! Service: Both the front desk and the cleaning staff were incredibly nice! They always greeted us warmly whenever they saw us and were very friendly. They even helped us with the room upgrade – thank you! If your itinerary involves a lot of walking around the old town, this hotel is excellent! It's close to everything and perfectly walkable. When you're tired, you can just hop on a bus, which is very convenient! You can use the 'Bus Union' card on Macau buses, so you don't even need to activate a bus QR code, which makes it even easier!

The family room wasn't huge, but it was clean enough. Located on the Macau Peninsula, it was convenient for getting around. The shuttle to the border gate was a bit of a walk, but otherwise, getting to other places from the hotel was quite easy.

The facilities are outdated, and the room is ridiculously small, lacking even a bedside table. You have to squeeze sideways and suck in your stomach just to get into the bathroom. I bumped my arms countless times while showering. And for such a room, they charged four figures during the holiday season! Even the budget hotels like GreenTree Inn and Puding I've stayed at in Beijing and Shanghai for a hundred yuan were far better than this. Judge for yourselves.

The location is excellent. Very close to the sights and food and shopping area. It's very easy to locate the hotel also. The room is clean. They upgraded our room with bathtub. That's a plus. Room is not very big but good enough to open the suitcase and manage to have a table and chair in the room. We love it. Definitely will go back.
