This hotel is motel style (no inside hallways and parking right outside your door). This location is fine to stay at on a long road trip, which was my situation; however, it is dingy and only just clean enough. There were dead flies (one which I found in the water reservoir of the coffee maker), mold in the bathroom, wall paper peeling away, and a hair on one of the washcloths. Also, the window lock was broken and the door was difficult to open and close. Despite all of this, the location is just under 10 minutes from the Headlands Dark Sky Preserve and not far from the Macinac Bridge. The price was just under $80 after taxes and fees so it is very doable. Another thing to be aware of is that the free breakfast ends an hour before checkout and is only coffee, apples, and granola bars so it is actually free snacks, not breakfast. Overall, this place is just fine for a single night stay

Ignore all the 1 star reviews. Those are completely biased. Our family had no issues with this place. This hotel was perfect for our toddler! The room was clean and the water park made our 2 year old so happy. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had 0 issues with checking in and we were able to find our room easily. The view of the lake was really nice for a 2 queen bed room. Only thing I noticed was the elevator needed to be vacuumed. But other than that this hotel is definitely one of new vacation spots and there’s plenty to do around the hotel. Love that it’s close to a mini mart for emergency things/supplies.

Based on availability & price chose this property for an overnight stay 9/30/22. Didn't get front desk girl's name but very friendly, polite, helpful & professional for getting us 2 rooms with 2 beds without a reservation. Had rooms on first floor lake side and couldn't have asked for anything better as the city had fireworks that night and we could get sit out on patio to watch. Beds were in separate rooms with each having a TV (never turned them on) and separated by a short walkway that had a counter, sink, microwave, small refrigerator & coffee maker on one side and the full bathroom on the other side. Parking ample and felt very safe. This all being said the rooms could use some TLC but were clean. They were very dated in spots and are really showing wear. Didn't use or check out pool so no comment. Would most definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Really wanted to give a 3.5 star because TLC needed but check in girl was the best.

The Hamilton Inn is gorgeous. I. My first impressions? Amazing. Gorgeous. Hard to Find. These 3 words describe the looks and the attitude of the hotel. I'll be staying here for 11 days and nights. I've got an upgraded room on the lake. The upgraded room includes a free breakfast here. The breakfast s a variety of flavorful choices. The hotel decor is by far one of the nicest I've ever seen. Playful and stylish, tasteful yet trendy. It features cool greens and reds,with wooden trim. Amenities? I have been using the free internet everyday, typing out these little notes. The gym is actually a gym with free weights. Most hotel gyms consist of only a stairmaster and treadmill with maybe a little universal. The Hamilton has a universal machine, treadmills and free weights. It also has a sound system and TV.
