Red Roof Inn & Suites Jackson, TN

Worst motel we ever stayed in. The first night we arrived to find blood droplets on our sheets. We call the desk, and they told us to bring the sheets to them and they would give us another set to put on. Needless to say, that didn't happen. I was told he did not like my attitude. They finally give us another room and it has no mirror, only a hole in the wall where a mirror was with a paper towel stuck in it. Coffee on the counter with no coffee pot. Went to take a shower and I noticed what looks like dirt under the mat in the shower floor. I pulled the mat up to find a hole in the shower pan as big as my foot. If I would not have moved the mat my wife who is disabled or I could have stepped in that hole and hurt ourselves. The vents on the AC were nasty and needed cleaning. We have nothing but grief from Red Roof who said they would give us points to use on another room later instead of money back.

We had reservations in another motel in Jackson, and arrived to a room with a broken toilet, and were told they had no other rooms. We started looking elsewhere and when we checked this Red Roof Inn, Mandy went above and beyond to help meet our needs. Great Value. Comfortable.

Room was the dirtiest I have ever been in. The blow dryer has sticky yellow stuff on it. Bathtub floor not clean. Felt unsafe. Loud party in room next to us. Had to get police to shut it down at 1 am. Breakfast Room was shut down because of circuit breaker kept flipping.

First, we had reservations and WERE CHARGED FOR three nights (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Check-in was great....the young lady at the desk was very kind and professional. We had to make 2 or 3 trips to the office to get help getting into the room because the key wouldn't work but finally got inside. First thing Saturday morning we were told we had to be out of the room by Sunday morning because of a safety inspection. No one apologized for the inconvenience, no one offered help finding another place to stay, just told to leave by Sunday morning. Later that afternoon I asked the manager about a refund for the day we weren't allowed to stay and was told he would issue a credit on Sunday morning. Sunday morning no one could issue a credit but I was told it would credited in "a few days" and was given a revised bill. After 4 days, no credit. I called after 5 days and more runaround. I called again after 8 days and another runaround. American Express now assures me it will be taken of. Thank God for American Express.

I’m glad we gave this motel another chance. The last time we stayed here was at the end of the pandemic, and we didn’t have a very good experience. Because we travel with our dog, and we had enough points for a free night, we decided to give it another try. The room was clean, and the location is good for our driving trip from Dallas to the North East. There are lots of restaurants nearby. This time, they even had a pretty decent breakfast. The lobby was open, and the check-in and out went well. There were some sketchy people in the parking lot, and some loud partiers at night. But there were other guests with pets staying in the front of the hotel, and no one bothered us. If you’re picky then spend more money and stay somewhere else. Otherwise, it’s an okay place to spend the night on a road trip.

We spent one night while traveling and had a nice first floor room with a king bed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious with lots of access to outlets and Wi-Fi ports. I was surprised that they offered a free hot breakfast. The breakfast room was clean and well stocked. I had a blueberry bagel with cream cheese and my husband had a bowl of cereal. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.

I stayed at the second Red Roof Inn in the last few months. I've been a member for 30 years and was disappointed with the first one but this last one was disgusting! I actually used a wash cloth and cleaned the door and the floor between the door and the bathroom. It was black! There was a ring on one table still wet from a cup of coffee.

Room rate was advertised as including breakfast. Hotel informed us there was no breakfast. Rooms were on second floor but no elevators. Stairwells located at the end of each bldg., so people in center rooms have quite a walk. Light in stairwell not working making it dangerous to use stairs at night.

What to say about the Red Roof Inn in Jackson, TN? First, the lobby is NEVER open. Too unsafe. It is always locked, so you interact with front desk staff through a window. That's fine. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism by the front desk staff when we checked in, though. I was barely recognized and when I was finally helped, I couldn't hear a thing the woman checking me in was saying due to the window she was speaking through and with all the noise coming from the lobby from the TV blaring and the other woman working the front desk, who was wearing tight workout shorts, a sports bra, and slippers. They put all guests in the front of the hotel because residents are in the rooms on the back of the hotel. They are something. I tend to try to avoid hotels with many residents due to past experience and some Netflix documentaries (um, Hotel Cecil, anyone?). Woke up in the morning to see that someone had deliberately thrown bird seed under my car and trailer. How do I know it was deliberate? There were few other cars in that parking lot and the person could have thrown bird seed literally anywhere else. They chose to throw it under my car and trailer. Why? My best guess is so the birds would poo all over my car and trailer. I ultimately did not feel very safe here and, although it is not the worst hotel I have stayed in, I won't return.
