Das Hotel kann man nur weiter empfehlen. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, tolle Lage, saubere Zimmer (vor allem die Betten sind sehr gemütlich) und der angrenzende Park lädt zum Verweilen ein. Nicht unerwähnt sollte die tolle Dachterrasse mit dem hervorragenden Ausblick über Madrid sein. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

O hotel tem uma localização perfeita para quem procura um ponto estratégico em Madri, perto de restaurantes e lojas. Embora suas instalações mostrem sinais de envelhecimento e necessitem de uma reforma, é importante destacar que o hotel é super limpo. Este não é um lugar de luxo, e as fotos do hotel, inicialmente preocupantes, não fazem jus à sua verdadeira atmosfera. Pessoalmente, a experiência émelhor do que as imagens sugerem, e a proximidade com os melhores restaurantes e lojas de Madri é um grande atrativo.

This lovely hotel is truly a gem. We just finished a 10 day stay and loved the entire staff. The hotel had a boutique charm to it, modern and cozy. The hotel restaurant has very nice breakfasts and at night a bar and light fare as well. The hotel is located in one of the most vibrant areas of Madrid. Outdoor and indoor cafes, shops and restaurants. The Prado and Sorolla Museums are within walking distance or a quick 5-10 minute cab ride. Cabs are very reasonable and Uber as well. Madrid is an extremely fun walkable city. We totally enjoyed both museums. Joaquin Sorolla was an extraordinary artist in the impressionist style. The museum is housed in his magnificent original mansion. We found the Madrid people friendly and helpful. We would choose the AC Recoletos again if we return to Madrid.

We're Bonvoy Titanium members and were upgraded to a large and very nice room. Unfortunately we were only there one night but it was very clean and comfortable. The hotel has a really good breakfast buffet, and I was a bit surprised as I did not expect this (I don't have a lot of experience with the AC Brand and their hotel at Atocha Station does not offer breakfast). HOWEVER - we had an early morning bus and were rushing through breakfast and so I was eating my breakfast sandwich from my hand as I was walking out of the buffet and was stopped by the staff and told I couldn't take food out of the breakfast room but that she'd let it go ”this time” and that was not a nice way to start the day with this unnecessarily bad customer service. The front desk staff was excellent. We walked very easily to the bus station and therefore it's an excellent choice if you are coming/going from that big bus station. There are certainly shops/restaurants in this this area and you're next to a Metro station, but if you want a hotel within walking distance of the major tourist attractions this isn't a good choice. Everything very clean and comfortable and the room was very quiet so the sleep quality was excellent.

If you can read more than 256 characters without fainting like many of my younger students from FIU (Florida International University in Miami), who had a heart attack when they had to read a full page, then keep reading and you will learn something new. Since my first trip to Madrid in June 1963 when I was 19 years old, I have slept in more than one hundred places, from cheap Guest Houses (when I was a young and poor student at the Sorbonne University in Paris in the 1960s), then in HOSTALES (half a way between a cheap Guest House and a real hotel, when I was a young French professor, just as poor, after 1968) and finally in real hotels, now that I am a retired professor, poorer than ever, after 46 years of priesthood teaching French to French natives in ”Great Paris” during 36 years, then extending my priesthood for 10 more years teaching at FIU, always for peanuts! But since 2016 I have been staying at this IBIS MADRID VENTAS during each stopover on my way to and back from Paris, where my sons were born and raised by their French mothers, because this Ibis offers a GREAT LOCATION, with plenty of PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION and a GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. It is located on Calle de Julio Camba, right at the corner of Calle Alcala, just across from Ventas Plaza de Toros, where bullfight shows take place, and most rooms have a wide open view over this Plaza Ventas and Calle Alcala, which runs uphill towards Plaza Lineal, then to Canillejas, where you can take bus 101 to Barajas airport (but only T 1, 2 and 3) and bus 200 to all terminals, 1 to 4, at the same airport. Just across this IBIS, there is Metro Ventas, where you can take the subway to and from the airport, but I have a better and cheaper solution with only two busses from Terminal 4, where most big US (and also Iberia) airlines arrive and depart from. On my last trip, Sunday August 6, 2023, my nonstop Iberia flight from Miami landed in advance (as most often) at 1 pm sharp at Barajas airport in Madrid. But the time to walk, walk and walk on Terminal 4 International, then pass the Border Police with a Machine (very, very FAST!), go downstairs, take an automatic, driverless, underground train to Terminal 4 Domestic, go through Customs at a lightening speed and get out, it was already 2 pm when I took BUS 200 at the right end of T4. I paid 1.50 € on BUS 200 (WARNING: unlike Miami bus drivers, in Madrid they give change back BUT MAXIMUM CHANGE is for a 5 € note) and less than half an hour later my bus was at the AVENIDA DE AMERICA bus terminal, after going through terminals 1, 2 and 3 and taking the expressway to Madrid with a stop at CANILLEJAS. Two floors up the escalators, and about half a block later, I crossed the Avenida de America, then I crossed Francisco Silvela, walked a few more steps and took bus C-1 (CIRCULAR 1), where I paid 1.50 € again for 3 stops. Un hotel muy sencillo, viejo y caro. Hay qué subir las maletas y la sillita de bebé quedaba abajo porque las escaleras eran muy malas y ni se podía subir a pulso. No hay ascensor. No tiene una sala para trabajar con tu ordenador, con lo cual lo tienes que hacer desde la habitación que no cuenta con mesa y silla adecuadas (ambas plegables), ni espacio para ello. Tenía tanta humedad, que el marco de la ventana goteaba. Para colmo, nos hizo unos días de lluvia que agravaban la humedad. Una de las habitaciones era interior y daba a un patio de metro y medio por seis (+-). El techo tenía moho de la humedad, las paredes mojadas. La ropa de la cama estaba helada y húmeda. Incluso se humedeció nuestra ropa. Porque una habitación no tenía armarios y se colgaba la ropa en perchas en un perchero de la pared. La primera noche, en una de las habitaciones tuvimos goteras. ... y se nos mojó la ropa porque los armarios no tenían puertas. Bajamos a la recepción y a la noche no hay nadie así que tuvimos que contactar con el responsable por teléfono quién no nos dió ninguna solución hasta el día siguiente, que valorarían la situación. Al día siguiente vino alguien a arreglar la gotera del techo. Al indicarles que en esas condiciones no podíamos estar ni nosotros ni nuestros hijos la única solución que nos dieron fue ponernos una estufa para intentar quitar la humedad Mi hijo es asmático y puede suponerle un problema grave de salud estar en esas condiciones cinco noches El día de la salida quisimos hablar con los responsables sobre este tema pero no hubo nadie en recepción en toda la mañana. Así que no pudimos poner una queja directa ni pedir una compensación. A pesar de que tenía una nota en la habitación de que había HOJA DE RECLAMACIONES. Al volver a casa hemos tenido que lavar toda la ropa por el olor a humedad que traía. La hija de reclamaciones que informaban
