We went to Ayada Maledives to spent our Honeymoon. We arrived at an absolute paradise spot. The rather long travel is so worth it! The resort is breathtaking and the Beach Villas we stayed in for 11 nights are private, beautifully furnished and super spacious. We are happy we preferred this over the ocean villas. We had the feeling that the white beach and the ocean in front of our villa is absolutely private. Most of the time we did not see anyone and we felt we were alone. Eventhough it is a big investment for a vacation the price is well deserved for this resort. The food at Magu is amazing. Breakfast and dinner are incredible and they offer something else everyday of the week. Besides incredibly kind service from our butler Mihad and everyone at the Magu restaurant we experienced the kindest treatment from the team at the dive center. My biggest wish was to see dolphins in wildlife (which is definitely possible but never guaranteed) and everybody tried to make this wish come true for me. They put a lot of effort into that. This is beyond kind and very thoughtful. Thanks so much for that! The lagoon and the reef at the island are incredible and you are almost guaranteed to see sharks, rays and all kinds of colourful fishes around the house reef. Already so impressive and directly in front of your door. I can only recommend taking additional trips for snorkeling at special spots where we spotted turtles, clown fishes, sea anemones and many many more aswell as beautiful untouched reefs with incredible corals. Invest in that so you can make those incredible experiences. They are totally worth it. I recommend that you are a good swimmer though AND educate yourself how to behave around this beautiful nature accordingly so you can enjoy but don’t destroy the reeves or hurt yourself. The reeves have been through enough already without tourists that do not respect the nature. Standing on corals because you cannot swim good enough and didn’t tell the guides is unacceptable. Unfortunately I also had to test the medical team at the island and can confirm, that they are very professional, caring and concerned for your safety and health in case you need medical attention. I felt very well taken care of! Important to know for Maledive-first-timers: whatever you thought is the right amount of sunscreen to bring, at least triple the number. Thank me later. For us 4 full sized bottles were not enough for 11 nights and buying at the island is like buying liquid gold. ;-) The sun is BRUTAL, especially when you go swim and snorkeling. Just make sure it’s coral reef friendly option. Longsleeve and pants are also highly recommended for snorkeling. You’ll get a tan anyways. Promised. Thanks to everyone at Ayada to make such amazing memories for us. We had the greatest time!
