Ulasan Styles Hotel

We chose this hotel mainly for the location. It's Right at the entrance of jonker street. You can maximise your time looking around then walk to the hotel.. Rest for a while and roam around again. The family room has no window. We were told by the receptionist that all family room has no window. Since it's a fully enclosed room without a window...the room has that old enclosed smell.. And my allergies got triggered by the indoor dust as each time im in the room i keep coughing.. While outside I'm not coughing so much. The towel has that old smell and i wonder if it has been washed a long time and kept in the cabinet for long. Same with the pillows. It's not bad smell but that smell that it has been kept for a long time. The toilet seat is old. The bidet is broken. At 11:10am we were at the reception.. We wanted to take rivercruise which is about 45 mins long.. The late check out they only allowed till 30 mins more from 12pm so the check out is 12:30pm..to be sure i asked if they can extend another 30 mins so 1pm.. Just so we have time to take cruise and go back to check out. Lady said no. Then we asked if we can check out now and leave our things behind the counter for about 1 hour. Lady said they don't do that. Asked us to leave our luggages at the open common area with a note that if it's lost then they are not responsible. So they won't extend us for 30 mins and also won't look after our luggages. Basically they have done nothing for us.. We just wanted to take the 45 mins river cruise. So we left our bag in the common area with the risk. So basically don't expect much from hotel. Just stay there for the location itself. That's the only reason. If i return to melaka.. I will skip styles hotel.. I will try my luck on the other hotels nearby.
