Jonker Street is only about a 10-minute walk away, making it very convenient to explore the main tourist spots. "I had a wonderful stay at ibis Melaka! The hotel is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. The location is excellent — just a short walk to Jonker Street and other main attractions, yet quiet enough for a relaxing night’s rest.
The room was comfortable, with cozy beds, good air-conditioning, and all the essentials you’d expect from an international hotel brand. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with directions or local recommendations.

"This was my second time staying at the Imperial Heritage hotel seem there’s a changed in policy.
My previous stayed there provided toothbrushes already intact in the bathroom and this time have to inform them to bring it to the room but nothing was done despite calling them two times till i buy it myself.
Tomorrow’s my checking out day when i came back to the room and surprise the door was unable to open. I went down to the reception to get someone to unlock the door and yet same thing happened waited for the maintenance people to turned up so long 😩 go down again to the reception desk about the service 😬"

The team was warm, efficient, and always ready to assist, which added a premium touch to the experience.
The location is another major highlight. The hotel is conveniently situated near shopping malls, making it easy to access retail outlets, cafés, and daily necessities. "A quiet hotel, away from town. Restful.
I enjoyed the showervery much and had a good bath.
But..
The toilet bad odour (especially from toilet bowl) is true as per reviews posted by many customers. I hope hotel can do something to get rid of the bad odour from the sewage.
The air-conditioning sound is very loud is true as per reviews by many customers. Light sleepers may be affected."

"nak pergi melaka? i will recommended to stay dekat ames hotel, even jauh sikit untuk ke bandar tapi really worth it!! dari awal check in sampai la check out, everything was really good!!!! sampai je lobby, ada orang akan welcome and buka pintu, even terserempak dengan staff hotel dekat lift or mana mana waktu dalam hotel, mereka akan greetings kita and staff hotel memang sentiasa senyum and so so frendly!!
i was stay for 3d2n, breakfast on friday, tak sibuk sangat tapi untuk weekend, memang akan pack tapi staff mereka sangat laju untuk clearkan meja .. food pun tak ada yang kurang, sentiasa banyak!! kena try fresh croissant! sangat sangat sedap hehehe!!
ada roti canai, nasi lemak, omelette, pastries, idli, english breakfast! eh mcm mcm lagi lahh.. mmg worth it!!
room service pun laju, order dinner pun laju and sedappppp!! minta ice pun laju je staff hotel bagi, tapi dia bagi bukan main besar bekas dia🤣🤣🤣🤣

"The hotel is located in the middle of Melaka, but there are not many activities nearby. There is a river cruise within walking distance, but I didn’t try it. We only used the water taxi, which was cheaper, to travel from Jonker Walk back to the hotel.
The food selection is limited—just enough to fill your stomach, but not much variety. I was quite disappointed with the coffee machine; the coffee is too light, and even the Americano is not strong.
The lift is annoying, as the waiting time is very long when going up or down. and the sticker make it confusing to search for number,and screen didn't show which floor when lift stop. need to upgrade or do something ,the lift waiting time is very poor. The lifts are frequently full. At times, we opted to use the stairs due to long waiting times; however, the stairwell is dull and gives an uncomfortable feeling.
My kids loved the pool, but it needs maintenance. I noticed some broken tiles, which could potentially cause injuries to children.
The room is just nice. I booked a studio suite, and the toilet has transparent glass. In our room, the glass was blurry, but you can still see shadows. I asked the receptionist about the Premier room, and they mentioned that it is not even blurry—it is fully see-through.
I think the hotel should consider installing a curtain or proper covering for the bathroom, as this can be quite inconvenient when traveling with family."

"Our room was located by the roadside, and during the weekend nights, there was constant traffic noise especially from loud motorbikes. The location is about 2 km from the city center, and there are no proper walkways or safe crossings for pedestrians. Staff was welcoming."

EEddy MeisterI stayed at Asiatic Hotel Melaka and booked the Family Suite with jacuzzi. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a living area, balcony, and in-room spa bath. While it’s not a true duplex layout, the suite still felt roomy and comfortable for families or groups.
The jacuzzi was definitely the highlight – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Amenities such as WiFi, smart TV, minibar, and toiletries were all provided, making the stay convenient.
Parking is available in front of the hotel, free but limited on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you arrive during peak hours, you might need to circle around to find a spot.
Location is excellent – close to major attractions like Jonker Street, A Famosa, and shopping malls (Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade). There are plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby, so dining is not an issue even though the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant.
One small downside is the soundproofing; you can sometimes hear noise from the hallway. The lift is also on the smaller side, so it can get busy during peak times.
Overall, Asiatic Hotel Melaka is a great choice if you want a spacious suite with jacuzzi, free parking, and a central location. It’s comfortable and good value, especially for families or friends traveling together.

GGuest UserThe location was fine and the house was historical but we had two major issues with this place.
First, the water from the sink looked orange. So we were too scared to use it for washing let alone drinking. We had to rely on the provided bottled water.
Second, the toilet was outside of the room (we booked a garden room). So we had to sit in heat and mosquitos whenever we used the toilet.
Additionally, we didn't like that they insisted on paying the deposit which was never mentioned in the booking confirmation or room information. We also had some communication issues when getting back the deposit after check out as the staff couldn't speak English and had to call another staff to understand what was going on.

MmikaroWe had great stay at The Lisbon located at Kampung Portugis, Malacca.
It is beyond what was our request, a relaxing stay with pool for the kids.
At first we tought the hotel was an abandoned place, and no one booked at Trip.Com yet. But thanks to Mimie, one of the Reception Admin, she ensured us that it is a great place to stay. So, we cross finger, booked it right away.
Loved the interior of the buildings, it white, and have floral blue on top. The scenery is quite astounished. Our room are facing the Selat Melaka view.
There are pool for the kids and adult to enjoy with.
For halal food, there is halal restaurant at the nearby stay for you to enjoy Malacca greatest cuisine.
This hotel has lots of potential. You wont regret your stay here, because we fully enjoy our stay.

OOMAR AL-ATTASThe biggest win for this hotel is definitely its location on Jalan Tukang Besi — super close to Jonker Walk and all the tourist hotspots around the area. Location-wise, it’s really great. The only thing is the hotel can be a bit confusing to find because there’s no signage for “Melaka Oracle Bookstore.” On the map and on the building facade, there’s only Chinese writing, so it took me a moment to be sure I was at the right place. I’m also not sure if the owner is Malaysian because they spoke Mandarin, but they can communicate in English, and both the owner and staff were friendly.
Along this lane, you’ll also find a few shops that rent Nyonya kebaya and batik shirts, and Masjid Kampung Kling is just a few meters away. To get to the rooms upstairs, you’ll need an access card, and the room door uses a physical key. The room itself is fairly clean, with a comfortable mattress and pillows. The aircond is cold, there’s a wall fan, a water heater, and free WiFi. There were no drinking glasses in the room, but you can refill water from the filtered water machine outside. They also have a pantry area and a washing machine, though I didn’t see an iron board — probably need to ask the staff. Mosquito coils were provided, but thankfully, there were no mosquitoes in my room.
However, there are a few things that could be improved. There was no blanket provided, which should be basic. I also noticed some plaster bagworms on the ceiling and walls — these should be cleaned because they can bite and leave marks. The toilet paper roll should be new, not a leftover one. The water pressure is quite low, so showering didn’t feel very satisfying. And the leftover mosquito coil ash should be cleaned before a new guest checks in. The toilet could also be cleaned more thoroughly — no stray hairs on the floor and no stains on the bowl.
Overall, the hotel is decent and perfectly okay for a stay. The facilities match the affordable price, and if you’re not as fussy as I am, you’ll probably be fine. There’s also a cute cat mural outside the building. The place has a rustic but charming vibe — definitely has room to improve, but still a pleasant stay.

ZZhongyang～NioThe room is small and has few facilities. Fortunately, I made a plan in advance and brought my own washing supplies.
The surrounding environment is indeed very simple. If you want to go to a more lively place, you should consider staying close to the central area. Eating is not convenient.
The rooftop open-air restaurant opens at 7pm and closes at 12pm. It has hamburger-like food and some drinks. The decoration is retro and a little rock. You can enjoy the night view and a moment of peace.
The most regrettable thing is that it is close to the sea, but you can't see the sea.

GGuest UserThe hotel has provided the facilities as committed in their booking-page in the acceptable condition to their customer, i.e. me. Despite it is a budget hotel only and the overall appearance is slightly vintage :D, the room, the bed/mattress/blanket, bathroom, showering water heater, etc. are still clean and in acceptable condition. Besides, if communicated/spoken to the hotel, it has self check-in option for the check-in after business operation hour, i.e. mid night. Travelers can acquire the room key/card by themselves from a locker with a provided pin code. These enable me to have a good rest after making an urgent booking in night time, travel over 100km then reach the hotel at 1.30 a.m. mid night. The attached photos show the self check-in/out facility, public drinking-water-dispenser and fire extinguisher.
Although I can't expect much from a budget, I would like to suggest that the air-con in the room to have service/maintenance so that it won't produce much noise. By the way, the noise only distract us slightly from having rest.
After all, based on the offered/discounted price, the room is satisfactory and recommended.
